the property was lovely, the bed was comfy and snuggly and the linen was gorgeous. The staff were welcoming and very helpful.

It would have been great to have a mirror in the bedroom as it was difficult for drying my hair and putting on make up with only having one in the bathroom - but that is just an observation and didn’t detract from our stay. The other point was breakfast is continental rather than cooked which was not clear when booking. It was a lovely breakfast but I just mention it as we weren’t aware when booking and my husband lives a cooked breakfast (again not a show stopper - more a personal preference)

The property was set in a beautiful location and the family room was well laid out and very clean and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant that night and the food and atmosphere was amazing.

There were no negatives about our stay just a couple of feedback points that would make my score a 10. The smoke alarm in the bedroom has a green flashing light which went off every 20 seconds which made it hard to get off to sleep. My daughter was sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge so would have liked a cover for window in the front door as you could see right in. not a problem if it’s just being used as a lunge but not so great when sleeping/getting unchanged. Continental breakfast was nice but we were assuming it would be a cooked breakfast as the pub/restaurant was attached. Think that needs stating it’s a continental breakfast when booking.

The property was clean and decorated very well, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilizes excellent. An early check in was available and enable us to relax for our event rather than having to come back and checking mid event.

The weather was very hot and on the upper floor there are no opening windows or rooflights ( accepted this may be as a result of planning) this made the room quite warm. We were lucky to have a duplex and then slept downstairs where it was perfectly cool.

We loved the new rooms! They were decorated really well and a very high standard. It was extreamly clean and we were met by very friendly staff. Breakfast was really tasty and again the staff extreamly polite and engaged with our son. We had a lovely stay and we will be back, just the two of us. Attention to detail was amazing and the coffee machine was a lovely touch, as was the toiletries in the bathroom.

Staying in a pub you are going to get noise. Maybe a place for just adults as it was a little difficult to get our son to sleep. Not a negative at all, just something to think about.

Bed was very comfy. Shower was fab.

Continental breakfast only included and did not come with a drink. Realise there were coffee making facilities in the room however would have been nice to have come with a fruit juice at least. I got glasses of water from bathroom tap. Food was nice though.

The property was stunning, set in a lovely spot. The room we were in was great. It was over two floors with a living space on the ground floor and bedroom on the first floor

The bedroom got very hot during the night. There is no air con, you can open the window and there was no fan.

The staff were approachable, friendly, and helpful. The bed was comfortable. We had a delicious supper in the pub.

It wasn't immediately obvious you needed to specifically book breakfast and it felt a bit over-priced for what was provided. Although it was a nice touch that it was sent to the room.

The Queens is in a beautiful location with easy parking. The staff are all very welcoming, attentive and considerate, particularly the Manager. Our room was gorgeous; felt luxurious and special. Our meal in the pub was delicious as was the breakfast delivered to our room!

great old world pub been modernised - lovely location

breakfast continental and served in bedroom where there was no table and chairs to sit at ! in the end we had breakfast in pub but had to make tea / coffee in our room and take it down with us. continental breakfast was small for 2 adults.

Great country pub with fabulous food and good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Stylish rooms, very comfortable bed. Really lovely staff.

We would recommend bringing a car as the local taxi service was not great and there is no public transport to speak of.
