Ideal location for our trip. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. A special mention to Emma who went beyond the call of duty to welcome us after our plane was delayed. Rooms were nicely decorated and very well kitted out. Original features still incorporated but quite compact. Surprisingly little noise from downstairs. Even though there was a line dancing evening on the Friday night. Breakfast was ofva high quality and plenty of selection.

Extra cooked breakfast items not obvious on the back of the menu, and it was not clear that croissants etc were available on request.

Since we wanted to be close to Southmead Hospital and Horfield, The Wellington was perfect for us. But it was still not too far from Bristol center (for big walkers like ourselves). And it is right off wonderful Gloucester Road, with its endless shops, pubs, and restaurants. Our room was large, comfortable and very clean, with a nice assortment of free tea, coffee, bottled water, and cookies. We also had breakfast and, later on in the week, a "Sunday Roast" at the hotel. Everything was delicious and fairly priced. When we go back to the area, we will revisit The Wellington, for sure.

The Wellington was a fantastic place to stay when visiting friends in Redland. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean - many thanks to Julie Roberts and her housekeeping team for all their hard work in keeping the place spotless, which isn't a word I use lightly! This venue far exceeded my expectations.

Everything was fantastic, my only 'even better if' feedback would be for the information at check-in and in the info pack inside the rooom to be a bit clearer about the location of the fire escape that's used for out of hours access - it wasn't immediately obvious from the descriptions I was given that this was the staircase on the side of the building, and I had to ask a member of staff to show me.

Rooms lovely and no noise from the street below at all. Very well sound proofed. Clean. Simply furnished and well stocked with tea and coffee, Nespresso machine a nice touch. Staff super helpful, incredibly friendly and welcoming.

Nothing really as all good. We were lucky to be fine with it but be aware that, if stairs aren't good for you, some rooms are on the 2nd floor. All stairs are narrow and steep. Carrying a heavy case could be tricky for some.

The venue was not doing breakfast when we were staying there, but we were aware of this before our stay, so this was no bother. The room itself was a little small (no problems though), but the bathroom was gorgeous. A lovely waterfall shower head and very spacious - very impressed with the bathroom. We had dinner at the venue one night and the food was lovely. Portion sizes were very good and the staff were extremely friendly. Would definitely stay again.

There wasn't anything that I thought the venue could improve on. Maybe having a breakfast next time would be nice, but as we were already aware of the situation, we were not fussed on not having this - they explained this again when we arrived and it was due to a shortage on staff.

Absolutely everything was way above expectations. Extremely modern drench shower easy to use controls. Soft fluffy towels. High class Elemis toiletries. Room excellent with Teapigs teabags and quality biscuits. Fab cups n saucers. Air Con brand new and easy to use. Good pillows n duvets. All fittings including masses of electric points. Cannot fault it and I will add I’m a 65 very well travelled woman (worldwide) many expensive hotels could learn a lesson from the room designers at The Wellington. Finally the staff were accommodating and very pleasant. Really impressed with this pub with rooms.

Nothing.

Good location in a friendly pub. We’ve stayed a few times now and always get a room on the top floor. The rooms are always spotlessly clean. Nice toiletries.

The parking can be a bit of an issue when the football is on. We had to work our day around getting parked up between 3-5pm to get a space. Shame they still don’t do a cooked breakfast. Continental breakfast is offered at £10 per head.

Very nice rooms - you can tell they remodeled everything to modern standards inside. Quiet rooms and very nice showers. There were tea & coffee supplies in the room which was very nice as well. Perfect for short stays

Only a small chair is missing to make it fully comfortable. There is a little chair for the luggage but it's not to be seated on. Also the window in the bathroom seemed to be open and there was no possibility to close it so it can get quite cold at night.

Friendly staff upon arrival - bedroom nice and clean - nice touch with the Nespresso coffee machine - was on top floor in room 8 which on the weekend was surprisingly quiet for being above a busy pub!

no cooked breakfast - little disappointed to be met with a fairly standard continental breakfast offering - they have a decent kitchen so unsure as to why hot food wasn't available

Arrived a little late but no problem. Room was clean and modern and the bathroom was really nice. I particularly liked the large shower. The bed was comfortable and there was free wifi. I was having a meeting at airbus, and this place is 5 minutes away by car.

Stairs carpet to get to the room was filthy. Its a real shame because it creates a completely false first impression. You imagine the rooms will be equally dirty and they aren't. Unfortunately, I was looking forward to breakfast but there wasn't one... at all.
