Manor Parc Hotel

First and foremost the grounds and hotel itself is fantastic. The staff are amazing, so pleasant, happy and very accommodating.. We were staying here to attend a family funeral locally and didn't want to be in the city centre. We are so glad we booked this hotel. A special shout out to Hannah who serves the brekfast, the lovley lady on reception (sorry don't know your name) who offered me an umbrella on the morning of the funeral. The waiter who also served brekfast and was so polite. The brekfast was also absolutely lovley.and cooked to perfection, thanks to the chef! The room was lovley and immaculately clean, thanks to the cleaning staff. This should not be a 3 star hotel. We have stayed in 5 star hotels around the world that haven't been as nice and as accommodating as this hotel. Well done Manor Parc on providing a fantastic service. We would definitely stay here again.

Our room was lovely, cosy, really comfy bed! had a nice bath and a lovely view off the shared balcony. We were offered breakfast but didn't end up having it but I'm sure it would've been lovely by the looks of the restaurant!

I really enjoyed the whole experience,however I was locked out late at night as the door wouldn't open, thankfully my friend who was in the hotel came down to help, unfortunately our keys didn't work so we had to ring the bell quite a few times for someone to come out and open the front door for us. He was extremely apologetic though which I appreciate,I would still stay here again!

We were only staying for one night and arrived late evening, but everything was great. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. The wifi worked well. The garden facilities looked superb, though we didn't have time to explore. There was a large party taking place when we arrived, but it was easy to find a quiet spot in the bar for a relaxing drink. Altogether, a very enjoyable stopover, I'd be glad to re-visit.

The hotel is somewhat difficult to find. A good Satnav is needed, plus the directions issued by the hotel prior to the visit were excellent.

Staff from reception to room maids were friendly attentive to our needs and reacted promptly and effectively.The room was comfortable and well appointed and located near the facilities as we hàd requested and the menu had sufficient choice to satisfy well travelled palates.The hotel is ideally situated on the outskirts of town in well kept grounds and the building is attractive inside and out with high-ceilinged rooms and plenty of light in the public rooms from asuperb rotunda and well planned use of glass.All in all the building,site and staff made a sad occasion much more bearable.My thanks to all the staff

great welcome, lovely staff nothing too much trouble, very comfortable room with view of immaculate garden, and views beyond, excellent shower with high water pressure, good quality linen and towels great evening menu choices, really nice Pino Grigio wine. Plenty of space and good seating area in the bar.

Breakfast had good choices, but my preference is to have better quality bread and an option of plain greek yoghurt/ fruit compote:soft fruit /granola/honey - but there was plenty of hot breakfast choices

Spacious living area, comfortable bed and refurbished bathroom in Venetian Suite.

Bath/shower very high in Venetian Suite and quite dangerous due to lack of anti-slip material on the bottom of the bath or as separate anti-slip mat. Also no wall grip to assist, which would be very useful for those with mobility problems. Hot water in sink boiling and sticker should be fixed above sink to warn guests. Water pressure in sink very high. Full Welsh breakfast of mediocre quality compared to other hotels in a similar price range.

Everything ! starting with the welcome experience, food and drink service, cleaniness of the room, smooth check in and out . Breakfast was excellent, view from the dining place in the morning was magnificent. All the little details like the menu with my room number, beautiful glasses for juice or a jug of hot coffee. Room was clean and tidy, bathroom and shower well equipped , for this price I was expecting less and had a full package :) Customer service was just perfect! Thank You , I will defenitely be comint back in the future when visiting Cardiff

very squeeky floors(I know it is an old building)

I liked the fact that my room was on the ground floor and I was able to open the door , to get some air as it was a very hot night , staff were very helpful , even carried my heavy bag to my room which I was most grateful for, room service arrived very quickly . And when I arrived downstairs for morning breakfast the member of staff a lady was most cheerful and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble , all in all a great hotel and I will be stopping again

There wasn't anything to dislike , would of liked there to have been a disposable shower cap , as I had my hair done and didn't want it to get wet , that is the only thing I could think of that would of made it perfect for me , I loved the hotel and staff very friendly

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed here and that says it in a nut shell as far as I’m concerned! But for those who like to know a little bit more I’ll try and explain why I like this place. It's how a hotel should be, from the moment you walk through the door and are met by a more than charming receptionist, served by smiling bar staff who not only want you to have a nice drink in comfort but also make you feel a bit more important than what you are. To me that is service and a lot of hotels lack that. Dinning, be it breakfast or dinner is done correctly - with table cloths and knowledgeable trained waiters. Iced water is served at the start of the meal without having to ask for it. I could ramble on and on as to how this hotel gets it right, it’s the little things the personal touch. The food is nice the parking is great and we will come back for more. If you are looking for a hotel for a little get away close to Cardiff but not in the centre, look no further.

Bedroom cleaning staff really should check the draws in the bedrooms between visitors to remove things like used cotton ear buds maybe. Apart from that nothing. Oh and me for not tipping on departure. I'm sorry I'll double tip next time, although I did for dinner but still no excuse for excellent service.

Very nice, elegant hotel set in its own grounds on the edge of the city. The room was large and the bathroom was almost the same size as the bedroom, with a modern 4 piece suite. The shower was excellent! What really makes the hotel special is the helpful and friendly staff. Whether it's the reception, bar, breakfast or cleaning team, everyone was lovely. Special thanks are due to Mario, who arranged a taxi share with another guest for us to the Principality Stadium when taxis were in short supply. Can also recommend the bar snacks, but sadly wasn't at the hotel for lunch or dinner.

The Manor Parc is on the edge of the city and if there's a big event on, you need to organise your taxi well in advance. Was a little disappointed that the hotel bar was shut by 11.15pm as there is no mini bar in the room either.
