It's well located in the centre of Cardiff, the room and the bed were quite big and comfortable, the toilet with shower was quite spacious and even if it sounds a bit strange having to check in at the chicken fast food on the left, in practice there were no problems at all. The price is absolutely reasonable.

It's a bit difficult to find, I had to ask to three different people and not one of them, even if they were very close to the place, knew where the ML Lodge was. Apart from that just little things that can be sorted easily if you tell to the people in charge. The room was on the second floor and there is no lift. It was ok for me, because I didn't have heavy luggage, but...

We came to Cardiff for a concert at the International arena and chose ML Lodge as and affordable place to stay afterwards. It was everything we needed, and we really enjoyed our stay. Communication with ML lodge was good; I got a very nice message from Chris a few days before we arrived with contact numbers, wifi code and instructions for key collection etc. The room was basic but quiet and not too warm, so we slept well. Checkout was 11 am - very helpful after a late night. The location was the most important thing, though, literally a few minutes walk from the International arena. St. David's Hall and The Principality Stadium. Also very near the castle, Bute Park, and a bewildering array of restaurants in the historic entre of Cardiff. In summary, if you are in Cardiff for an event at any of the major venues and needed somewhere safe and affordable to crash afterwards, ML Lodge would be perfect.

Parking was a bit of a faff, and not cheap. There are NCP parks very near, but they are expensive. Cardiff has sold and closed the Park and Ride service. We chose to park at the Council's North Road Car Park and then walk in, which saved a few quid. ML Lodge is in a very old, narrow building, with rooms arranged over 5 floors. The stairs really are steep, and there is no lift. This didn't bother us at all - the location at the back and high up was what made the room so quiet even though it was in the city centre. However, if you do struggle with steps, I would advise that you contact ML Lodge in advace to see if they can book yo into a room at the bottom.

The room was great, good views, comfortable bed all be some might complain as the mattress was on a harder side. Good ammendities, did't expect a hair dryer on the wall. Plenty of towells and cleaning priducts. Due to the fact the room was on the very top floor, it was relatively quiet and i heard very little of the gustling at the main road. Well recommended.

Noisey firedoors (yeah, they shut with a bang but its bearable if not happening too often), the room was right at the top of the building after something like 6 flights of steep stairs... You will feel a bit of a calf burn by the end, but it's a trade off for the chance to see a sun rise through the window.

Good location right in the centre of Cardiff. Clean room and cheap in comparison to other rooms, so you wouldn't expect luxury and its not the Ritz, but ideal if you just want somewhere to get your head down at the end of the night. Friendly staff at the Gyros assisted with early check in.

It would be unfair to criticise as the quality is reflected by the cheap rate, but some money spent on replacing the communal stair carpet, would go a long way to making it look nicer

The bedroom and facilities were brilliant. Everything was good shower/ tea making facilities/ quietness.

There were quite a lot of stairs up to my room on the 4th floor and t with a heavy case it was quite challenging for me as an older person as I was catching a buscthe following morning to London but for a weekend stay with less luggage to carry it was great. The only other problem was the 'green light' in the toom. It was very bright so had to cover face with pillow or blankets to sleep - never been in a room with this light illuminating all night before but could not see anywhere to knock it off.

- in the city center - very close to the castle and local souvenir shops - warm bedroom with table, chair, kettle, TV - private bathroom - comfortable bed - towels provided

- no parking - we left the car in Sophie Gardens Car Park for 24 hours for 17.60 £ but it is a little bit far from the accommodation - loud co-guests in the middle of the night - two separate taps with very hot water - steep stairs to the third floor - poor bathroom standard - unpleasant window view - broken shower holder - narrow corridors - clogged shower

Excellent location, close to the train station and located in the centre of the city. My room was en-suite, had comfortable beds, towels, hair dryer, phone, tv, a lot of storage, kettle, tea and coffee, and all for an excellent price.

The location is great for accessing other attractions but can be noisy at night, particularly on weekends. It's tiring carrying heavy luggage up multiple flights of narrow stairs.

Lodge is well situated and the rooms are well equiped.

Room was visibly clean but when taking out the small seating, it fell appart and you could see that the cleaning service hadn't bothered to check beneath the desk for trash from the previous occupant. A bit of TLC to the furniture and better cleaning would improve significantly the already decent quality of the place.

Good location. Basic requirements were met.

They would not provide non-dairy milk for drinks in the room and I had to take my own. There was nothing to stir drinks and I had to get a spoon from outside. Out of the two mugs in the room, one was chipped. Toilet seat was a bit loose. No mirror in the room, only in the bathroom. No reading light to read in bed, only a bedside lamp that was inadequate for this purpose. Communal areas were a bit shabby and in need of refurbishment.

Location was amazing!!! This place was a perfect for an overnight stay for a gig or sporting event. Reduced parking fee is a plus. Teas and coffees. We had a quiet room at the back of the property. I am planning on rebooking for another stay later on in the year!

Everything feels a bit tired and run down- especially the bathroom. However, nothing is unclean and I’d definitely, definitely rebook.
