Location, breakfast, the lady in the morning was very helpful.and friendly

The room on the whole was clean but behind the curtains was thick with cobwebs and the shower has black mould growing in it. Nothing bleach wouldn't fix

A lovely characterful building, with parts of its history exposed. Very clean and comfortable with good facilities. Parking was free and easy. The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast included in our stay, a help yourself choice of cereal, pastries and fruit, as well as a made to order cooked breakfast which used quality, local ingredients.

There was a bit of mildew around the seals in the shower, but the shower itself was great. We stayed on a Monday when the hotel restaurant is closed for evening meals, as are the other pubs and restaurants in the town. There was an Indian restaurant open, and an excellent chippy that we opted for in the end.

The location, town and “The Talbot” are wonderful. This is a 16th century inn and it still oozes it’s history and retains a dominant aspect and position in the centre of town. We urge the residents of Cleobury Mortimer to use it and fully appreciate it. They are lucky to have it. We ate our evening meal at the Spice Empire opposite (as The Talbot kitchen is closed on Mondays). A truly lovely indian cuisine and menu. Our breakfast was very good and the presentation, layout and service was what was fully indicated before we visited. All very good. The managers Nick and Kate are the current guardians of this landmark pub and work very hard to ensure people who visit have a great time. It needs people like them to ensure it survives another 500 years. Please support The Talbot. We will by returning on our next business trip later this year.

We did not dislike anything at all. The wonderful age of the building makes it creak and groan but that is part of it’s charm. Our hosts work hard for their guests and customers in difficult times. Well done them!

Our whole stay was brilliant. The breakfast was great every morning and they catered for us as vegetarians, even for the Sunday lunch which was amazing also. Brilliantly located between Ludlow and Kidderminster meaning we always had something to do only a short distance away. There seems to be plenty of nice walks around Cloebury Mortimer as well but we didn't take appropriate footwear. Great selection of restaurants available just a minutes walk away from the front door if you fancied a slightly different option. Would recommend 1000% and will hopefully return!

Nothing at all really. Mini fridge in the room to keep drinks cold maybe but didn't affect our stay at all.

We booked for a very reasonable price at the last minute on a Sunday. The Owner started by letting us know there was no food, and that the bar would shut at 10pm. (I wish booking.com would specify). But he let us know where all the local restaurants were and let us sit out the back with our bought in Chinese provided us with cutlery and warmed plates which was above and beyond. The room was exceptionally clean, the bed comfy and the shower was powerful. Very tight on space but workable. Breakfast was very tasty and included.

There is parking but it is behind the Hotel in a long stay free car park. it was a fair way to walk with heavy bags. If you have mobility issues you will struggle with the narrow staircase which you have to climb to get to bed.

Everything. The management team are so friendly, helpful and will go out of their way to ensure that your stay is a great experience. We booked last minute and I am Gluten Free. Upon checking in late afternoon on a Sunday, they still managed to obtain Gluten Free products for breakfast this morning! That is going above and beyond to me and I'm very thankful for their thoughtfulness and kindness. The breakfast is amazing as are the facilities. The bar is a really friendly place as we chatted with other guests. The food looked and smelled great, we will return. We can highly recommend a stay at the Talbot. It is in the centre of Cleobury Mortimer, great value for money and even free parking. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

What great value for money this hotel is. Nick & is partner were excellent hosts. & made me feel really welcome from the moment I booked in. The room I had, although small for a double could not be faulted in anyway. Immaculately clean with comfortable bed, nice little en-suite with superb shower. The breakfast was delicious cereal, toast & full English All in all excellent value for money

I failed to find anything to dislike about it & will definitely be stopping here again

Beautiful little town. Staff very friendly, very quirky old building. Our meal in the evening was good value pub food. Breakfast was full English with a buffet of cereal, fruit and croissant.

We parked on the rd, as it was free after a certain time. No one suggested the Hotels car park when we checked in. It wasn't until we left we saw a sign It's an old building, creaks from rooms upstairs but to be expected. We did have a slight whiff from plumbing, but nothing major.

Room had all the facilities needed, and bins/milk etc was emptied and topped up each morning. Bed was lovely and comfortable. No issues with cleanliness. Breakfast was excellent, very fulfilling.

Each evening from approx 1700 hrs until 2300 hrs we could hear lots of banging through the roof from the floor above. Looking at the map of the Talbot Hotel, it appeared there was no room above us, so not entirely sure where the noise was coming from ?.

The break fast was fine except occasionally appeared to run out of butter and marmalade. The cooked breakfast was well prepared and reasonable proportions.

I’m not sure if anything could be changed but stairs and access were not the best as the building was built in the 1600s. There was a layer of plaster coming off the wall on the stairs.
