The Bird in Hand0

It's in a really lovely position, if a little difficult to find but that's part of its appeal a lovely quiet, place, so pretty with the canal and a garden area. The room was a good size, really comfortable and spotless. It was a little haven in Stpurport on Seven which has a very, very busy road system. Staff all lovely too.

Just a bit disappointed with choice of evening menu. There is a lovely picture of a great plate of food when you Google The Bird in Hand but, for whatever reason there were only basket meals, sandwiches or rolls. If we had had the energy we could have walked down the tow path into town but we had an adequate basket meal instead. Morning breakfast was very good tho and the lady coukdnt do enough for us offering various things courses.

A quiet location, tucked away in the back streets next to the canal with good parking. The pub beneath is more of a locals place rather than a rowdy establishment, which means you won't be disturbed but also that the bar may close early. The room was a good size, evidently recently refurbished with good amenities.

The only downsides for some would be the slightly awkward access up the "fire escape" stairs and also the small high window that doesn't give a great view.

Great location to explore Stourport. 10 min walk to get into town centre Very clean rooms nicely furnished with all the expected amenities. Traditional pub and very friendly staff.

Only slight criticism. The single beds are very narrow even by single bed standards. Not ideal if you are used to a larger bed but were very comfortable despite the size. Try and book a double room if one is available if you like a bit more space whilst sleeping.

Nice pub very friendly good location. The full breakfast was nice The bedroom was very comfortable and clean.

The cooked breakfast was nice but for £10.00 each would have liked a choose of cereal before and no fruit juice offered. Also I personally don’t like a shared table with other guests although I understand some people might enjoy this.

Loved the location of property on the canal towpath, and only a short walk to the centre of Stourport. Room was lovely and clean, generous in size and had everything we needed. Good breakfast served in bar area.

Nothing to really dislike as only a 1 night stay. If any criticism, the accommodation was accessed up stairs exterior to building which gathers water and a bug pot of cigarette buts on landing.

The pub is within easy reach of the town. I was attending music events with friends and wanted to drink not drive home. The room was freshly painted, new carpet and the bed very comfortable. There was a pair of nesting swans 🦢 on the canal bank opposite.

The lobby area upstairs was quite smoky. Luckily it hadn’t spread to the room. There was no plug near the coffee making area. I used the only socket I could find, next to my pillow.

Brilliant location along the stourport canal. It's about 15 minutes walk into town with a variety of shops and supermarkets. Very quiet when the pub closes and lovely views of the canal and wildlife

No chair to sit on and not enough sockets. You have to plug the kettle in on the floor.

Location was really quiet and the room was immaculately clean. The bed was so comfortable after a long drive and there was a nice view of the canal. The staff were very welcoming.

Excellent location next to canal, staff was lovley ,rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels every day, the landlady was lovely and would definitely stay again

Jovial host most welcoming took time to show me my room even though she was on her own due to staff shortages , basic pub food cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere, great location, lovely walk by the canal. Plan to revisit.
