Bedroom was big and spacious and very well appointed. The whole hotel was well decorated, although the ceilings were very low in parts. The staff we met were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. Plenty of parking spaces. Nice big fan in the room was very welcome.

The pub is situated next to a busy road, so you will get the noise that goes with that. We only had one evening meal there which was ok, but I felt the menu was a bit traditional pub grub, although it was all tasty. The shower over the bath could have done with some grab handles for those of us getting on in years

Lovely old pub in a great location, not far from Kidderminster & Ludlow. Plenty of parking outside. Staff are lovely. The food was good. The whole pub is spotless, which is what you can expect from one of the bastings hotels. We normally stay at The Rodney which is another pub under their management, but this was a nice change. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is old and our room had sloping ceilings at the side of the bed which my husband bumped his head on. Also, the foam mattress didn't offer much support, so not ideal for someone with a back problem - might be ok for some, just not us - next time I will ask in advance.

A very comfortable stay for two nights whilst touring around the area in classic cars. Parking was great and felt quite secure outside the hotel. The breakfast choices were good and excellent quality. We ate in the restaurant both nights and had a good choice of menu and we all enjoyed our meals. We found all the staff to be helpful and friendly.

There wasn’t a hairdryer in the room which wasn’t a huge problem as I was able to borrow one from reception, totally my fault as I just assumed there would be one and unfortunately there wasn’t a socket near to the mirror so I had to dry my hair using my phone camera as a mirror. There was only 3 coat hangers on the hanging rack which wasn’t sufficient for a two night stay but this did not affect our enjoyment.

Superb little pub and hotel in a tiny village absolute everything and everyone was superb. As we entered the pub on our first night which was a cold wet Wednesday in March we couldn’t believe how busy the place was with locals both two and four legged variety the former could also be found in the busy dining room which had a different menu as advertised due to the oven not working but the chef turned out some tasty dishes for the customers. Our room was clean and tidy well decorated and warm with the usual TV and tea/coffee making facilities nice bed and en-suite shower the room overlooked the large car park and gardens This pub is obviously the heart of the community and has great staff giving great service to everyone.

The bed was exceptionally comfy . The shower was great . Food in the restaurant was excellent. Our evening meal, and breakfast was spot on . And the service was great. The area is lovely ,only 20 mins drive to Ludlow.

Just a few pointers for the future. Bathroom door on inside, could have done with a hook to hang dressing gown on after shower , and a little bin would have been handy too . Also the floor stays wet for ages after a shower ,even tho there's a bath mat , water still gets onto stone floor, which takes ages to dry. A mirror in the bedroom would be a good idea , where the plug sockets are , to dry hair etc . These are just a few pointers ,for future guests .

We paid for 2 double rooms, same price, with breakfast. Our room was nice, 11, a lovely, comfortable bed, spacious shower, plenty of storage space and space in the room. Definitely value for money. Breakfast was nice. We would return.

The second room, in comparison, was tiny, room 17 with a small bathroom. I'm not sure why there was such a difference when the price was the same. The room below it, 19, looked wonderful, with a fitted kitchen. I'm putting a flat smile below in review about the room size, as although we were really happy, our kids were disappointed and felt they drew the short straw.

*The chef went out of his way to accommodate us for breakfast at an earlier time. *The food is great. We ate for breakfast and dinner here. Full English in the morning is great and the steaks and burgers are spot on. *Really friendly staff and waitresses. *Nice roaring fires in the bar area and decor is excellent

*The room we were in (number 7) was directly underneath the door to the Hopton Crown. The constant banging of the door as people went in and out was a little off putting. *Some minor things with the room. The plug socket by the TV is loose and seems a little dangerous as you pull the plugs out, the whole socket wobbles. *Road noise was quite load with the window open. Closed it was definitely better :)

Beautiful hotel and grounds. Warm and friendly staff who were all very approachable. We stayed in one of the cottages and the room was clean and comfortable, kettle, tea and coffee in the toom which was good. We also brought 2 of our dogs and there are lovely places to walk them. They're allowed in the hotel room and also the bar for breakfast which we really appreciated. All in all a lovely stay and we will definitely book again whwn we visit our daughter in Bristol. Thankyou x

Nothing negative.

The service on the morning of our check out was exceptional. The lady doing the breakfast could not have been more helpful. Room was large and clean.

The service provided from some of the staff could be improved as they lacked attention to detail. However, the staff were always friendly and this place is really geared towards locals. Please judge my comments from the point of view of someone who often stays in 5 star hotels and do not let my comments distract from the genuine friendliness of the staff.

really affordable prices, room is great for families nice and spacious, staff were lovely and helpful.

the signal isn’t great but that’s to be expected given the location and isn’t at all the hotels fault maybe just bear it in mind if you are thinking of staying, also there restaurant doesn’t begin serving food until 6pm which again is probably something to bare in mind if staying with children, probably best to bring some snacks and drinks along although there is a small village which has shops that’s pretty local but again most of the restaurants don’t open until late afternoon
