The breakfast was very good. Good choice of cereals and cooked food from the menu and well presented. The position of Church Inn was great for the town, only a short walk to the main square. Full of character, the Inn is naturally next to a beautiful church - the clock chimed every 15mins but stopped at night. I thought the rooms were excellent - immaculately clean and well provided with a super Nespresso machine and plenty of tea, milk and pods provided. Nice toiletries and soft towels. Very comfortable bed with crisp white linen, good sleeping temperature.

The stairs up to the rooms could be a problem for the elderly, but help was given to carry our bags up. Parking was close by but we had to pay a charge from 8am -6pm.

Lovely welcome. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The facilities in our room were very good, as was the cleanliness of the room. Very comfortable bed. The church bells going off every 15 minutes wasn’t pleasant at bed time, but at least they stopped at 11 p.m. The food was lovely; we ate there both nights of our stay. Ludlow is a beautiful town and everyone we met, shops/castle/cafes, etc., were very friendly.

Having to park the car off site when your husband has a degenerative spine condition. He is registered disabled and there should be ease of parking set up for disabled people. In addition, the car park we had to park in doesn’t have any CCTV, which was concerning. Didn’t like the fact that, in order to use the wi~fi, you have to register your email and phone number! We value our privacy, so didn’t do it.

Great location in the centre of town. Lovely room, comfortable and well equipped (great shower). Great food in the restaurant and a good selection of cask ales. When we booked we didn't realise that the annual food festival was on so we felt lucky to get a room and the food festival was an added bonus for our trip.

These are not really things we didn't like but things that people need to be aware of. We were in room 3, which (I think) is the only one without a balcony so that was a little disappointing but not really a deal breaker for staying again. Rooms are on the top floor so if you can't cope with stairs then maybe not for you. It was such a hot day and night that we had to sleep with the windows open. No air con (wasn't expecting any) but a fan was provided. However, if you are a light sleeper and the windows are open then the bells might result in a disturbed night's sleep. I recommend a couple of extra pints in the bar before bed.

position in Ludlow was great

parking in the town car park was a nuisance but we appreciate this is a problem with Ludlow not with the hotel, however it was a total faff to go back to the car park after 6pm to pay for the following days parking as this is charged from 8am. We would have preferred a kettle as we don’t usually drink coffee so the coffee machine was impossible to work out - no instructions in the drawer as stated. Breakfast times should be clearly stated in the hotel information in room, nothing there at all to give an idea of breakfast times. Bath was great, a real treat to have a lovely big bath in a very clean bathroom.

We had a room with a balcony overlooking St Laurence church. The room was very nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also very nice with modern fixtures. The pub is right in the center of town so everything was accessible. The castle is less than five minutes walk away, we would also recommend a visit to the church. Breakfast is served in a lovely breakfast room. A good selection of hot and cold items is available. The porridge was the nicest I have tasted in a long time, so creamy! All staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

We had dinner on both nights of our stay and it was very nice however on the second night there was a more limited choice available.

The deluxe room was as expected, very spacious, clean and well equipped. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was very quiet apart from the church bells (which weren’t loud enough to keep you awake unless you’re a very light sleeper). We loved the balcony and view over the church grounds. The breakfast was great with lots of choices.

We booked in at 8pm for dinner on our first night and were informed after ten minutes that because they had a large party already seated, they couldn’t take our order yet. This meant we didn’t get served any food until 8.50pm. When it did arrive, it was delicious, though!

Everything. The location couldn't have been better. Our room was full of character, yet it was beautifully decorated and appointed with great extras such as a good quality coffee maker and Temple Spa cleaning products. Very comfortable and spacious enough for our needs. The staff were so helpful and pleasant, very smiley. Windows, fans, electric plugs - everything was spot on. If we come back to Ludlow this is where we'd like to stay.

Nothing. It had all we required. - Parking isn't convenient but that's Ludlow, not the hotel

Central location clean and great food

Not enough choice at breakfast, no fresh fruit, yoghurts or fresh croissants. For £120 per night feel more choice should be included

The room was excellent and had a balcony overlooking the church at the rear of the building. All the amenities, toiletries and drinks facilities were very good. Dinner was served in the bar and the menu provided a good choice of options. Breakfast was served upstairs on the first floor and once again there was a good choice of options available. The food was excellent quality and we thoroughly enjoyed both our meals. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the service was very good.

The location is excellent and in the centre of the market town .The church Inn is in the good pub and rightly so. The rooms are very comfortable and have everything you need including a balcony patio area. The bar offers a range of ales and meals at reasonable prices. The breakfast was excellent especially the sausages and black pudding. All the staff are very attentive and nothing is to much trouble for them, just excellent customer service skills All round.
