Absolutely loved the Old Hall, being able to have a look at the old style and amazing features were the highlight of our stay. Even though our feature room didn't have the old style or feel in the décor we were lucky to have one with character and half a beautiful view of the grounds. The contrast going from our room to the bar and breakfast in the more modern part of the hotel was a unique experience that I never expected to like. As we were celebrating our 40th birthdays, I wanted somewhere that would be memorable and historical rather than a simple place to stay and this exceeded my expectations of the hall and grounds. If I could visit again I would definitely go back.

Breakfast on the first day wasn't as I would have expected. Food was great, but the toaster wasn't working well and that meant a queue built up. Few issues with glasses and mugs not being put out etc. This was pointed out to a member of staff. I suspect it may have been an off day as I spoke to the lady in charge about all of the issues I experienced. The second day we went for breakfast the only fault I had was with the toaster again so I am assuming this must be an issue they know about, but second time round all issues seemed to have been addressed.

Stunning property with lovely grounds for a short walk. Explore the old hall if you’re staying in the new part. Huge spacious car park, fantastic buffet breakfast.

Eye for detail in room before guests arriving would be good. Shame the pool was out of action on last day due to chemical imbalance. Remote location has its pros and cons, really not much to do in local area. Time to rethink your toaster for breakfast, most mornings it wasn’t adequate for number of guests or it wasn’t heating up enough. Lot of dogs around the place including eating areas which for some is a pro and some is con. I’d encourage you to highlight the bar in the old hall as stunning drinks in a gorgeous location but for most guests starting in the new part it’s not really highlighted.

I booked a four night spa break for my friends 60th birthday. Crewe Hall is beautiful, lovely grounds. Rooms were large, brilliant power shower. A buffet style breakfast with plenty to choose from. Evening meals were lovely, nice menu. Staff so friendly , we were greeted by Emma on reception who went above & beyond to care for our every need. Charlie & Brandon who were on The Leisure Centre reception were lovely & friendly too. A big thank you to Hillary who gave me my fantastic massage & facial, such a lovely lady. Left me feeling very refreshed. Would definitely recommend a spa treatment. Thank you to Massie & Honey who also looked after us. Cant wait to return.

lovely stay for my nieces wedding, which was amazing, the staff could not do more to make the day go well. The breakfast was hot and very tasty, lots of choice. The room was big but could do with a little update, we were in the new section. It was so hot in the rooms as the aircon was not working it was 23degrees in the room, some on the second floor were even hotter. A small fridge in the room which was great for keeping water / juice cold The spa facility was very good, nice pool, saunas, heated bed and was a great relief from the heat. The main house was absolutely beautiful, very old and the rooms were very traditional to the era, great to walk around, lovely outside patio and lawns

Black mold on the net curtains, and the carpet could have done with a clean, and air con not working.

Location was lovely, feels like you're tucked away in the countryside without being too far away from town amenities. When we arrived the staff were nice, and we got an upgrade to the original/old wing! The interior of the original building is beautiful and there's plenty to enjoy just strolling around - including a small chapel and a tearoom etc. The grounds are pretty decent and there's chairs and tables outdoors to enjoy an impromptu picnic or dinner. It felt very peaceful for our stay which was lovely. There was a member of staff to help us with the lift as well and guide us round the rooms and halls, which can get a bit maze-like (but personally, for an original building, I really don't mind it). Wonderful medium swimming pool with sauna, steam room and 4-person jacuzzi - open early in the day till late allowing us to swim before breakfast. And breakfast was good - plenty of space for everyone, hot food and cereals. There were some vegan/veggie options that I think cost extra and were on request, but there was alternative milks and options for those on restricted or plant based diets in cold food etc. We plan to visit again someday, with our dog as there are pet friendly spaces too which is fantastic.

It would also be nice to provide vegan/veggie breakfast options without an extra charge; IIRC some hot items were 'on request' and I think it came with a cost, but that's it really.

Staff at reception were genuinely very welcoming and stayed in room 3303 ( ithink that was it ...up a small spiral staircase) and it was awesome. Old style bath that filled up in a minute tops ...super comfy bed and plenty desk space to get on with my work. Stayed for two days to get some paperwork done but spent the first day roaming around this historic and quite special hotel. Sat in the chapel for ages just contemplating the its history.....if only walls could talk! Will attach a photo. SPA has everything you could ask for and staff were great. Dined in the Brasserie and food was excellent. Will be back.

The hall was beautiful. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The showers were easy to use and good water pressure. Loved being able to walk around and see all the different rooms including the chapel and great library. In a great location for sightseeing in the area. Breakfast was very good and plentiful in nice surroundings.

The rooms could have been cleaner e.g.. skirting boards and under furniture. There was no map or information on the hall itself and the spa facilities. No information where anything was situated from the staff on checking in. Not even where breakfast would be served.

The room was fine although a bit small and basic. The leisure facilities (pool etc) were first class and the food was also very good. Easy to find too, very close to J16 of the M6

Service in the dining room towards the end of service was poor. The people serving our table were first class and we don't blame them at all, but we ordered desserts as an afterthought after finishing our main course... still waiting for them... we chased them up twice and in the end after maybe 20 minutes we cancelled them and just got the bill - which came with the desserts on it! Drinks were also very expensive, over £21 for a large G&T and a pint - not the sort of thing you tend to worry about on a weekend away, but we could have had a drink in London for less!

The first thing that strikes you is what a beautiful building. The interior does not disappoint. Because of its age lots of nooks and places to explore including a chapel. Our room was very clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful although bacon had dried up a bit. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble to the staff who were all extremely helpful. The hotel was a real surprise and we will stay there again in a heartbeat.

Some less able customers may have found the stairs difficult. We did not use the bar as there were two sixth form balls on in the hotel the night we stayed

The staff were very friendly and the main building most interesting. Someone could have spent more time telling us about the history of the building and it took another guest to show us the magnificent chapel. Our room was in the West Wing which was very comfortable and we enjoyed having a fridge. I enjoyed my haddock & chips.

The trash hadn't been emptied which made us wonder what else hadn't been cleaned properly. Staff should also have warned us that to get to room 4141 involved a long walk and a flight of stairs with heavy cases. My partner's roast beef was overcooked, tough and couldn't even be cut with a steak knife - Yorkshire pudding was brittle!
