The room was a perfect set up for myself and another family member. We each had our own room but they were joined by a kitchen area. The kitchen had a door at each end. In the evening we could close the door so that gave us privacy. We couldn't hear the telly in the other room at all. The shower was great. Was also grateful for the good quality ironing board.

The chest of drawers had a top which slide out and turned it into a desk. This made it possible to work and eat but there wasn't a table we could eat together. We ate in the kitchen using the window ledge as a table.

Two ensuite bedrooms linked by a small galley kitchen makes a good set up for sharing space with friend(s), having a coffee etc. Kitchen has plenty of glasses, cups, bowls and washing up products. There wasn't a communal space in our apartment (other Potbank apartments do offer this - if you need sitting area, make sure to book one of those), however there were two armchairs in one of the bedrooms which meant we could sit in group and not on the bed. Nice clean modernized rooms with good ensuite shower rooms. The separately owned and run Quarter at Potbank restaurant downstairs is great for quality and sizeable breakfasts, and is a Mexican restaurant in the evenings (advisable to book) - plenty of atmosphere and good service there. Info on how to get room key from lock box was texted beforehand, and the person at the end of the texts was responsive - hence easy to get into the apartment.

Parking is a huge issue as the Quarter restaurant is very popular - there are other car parks in the vicinity but that's not what you want when staying overnight at the hotel. The formerly-public car park over the road is now privately owned so no longer an 'overflow' option. Not a 'complaint' but worth knowing that hotel staff are available only by phone and text message (they are responsive) - i.e. there is no hotel reception. It's really a rented apartment / room where either a key box or restaurant check-in is required to get the room keys (cards).

Nicely organised clean studio apartment with comfortable bed. Tea etc useful for one night stay. Great location for events at The Kings Hall and good access to restaurants etc., although if you want to eat on a Saturday night at The Quarter at Potbank you’ll need to book at least a week in advance!

Pillows too soft and a headboard really should be there. Would have been nice to have side lights on both sides of the bed. No reason not to have toilet roll holder in bathroom and the temperature control on shower was inconsistent. Soundproofing between apartments not great.

I was delighted with the whole renovation of the Pot Bank into its now new accommodation . Keeping this beautiful and historic building alive . Beautiful and iconic . Had a lovely stay and everything was prrrrfect .. Just one little thing . I am a large gentleman and I did find I literally had to squeeze my muscular frame through the sliding shower door . Only just got in and only just got out . So if I may politely advise . You kindly do look at how to enlarge your shower door openings by some 4” inches .

Just sadly the difficulty of entering and exiting the shower . As the door way was just a tad to small for a large framed gentleman..,

Was contacted in advance to confirm booking details. Room was a reasonable size, though bathroom could have been a bit bigger. Powerful shower! - Thermostat needs attention as was difficult to turn but the water pressure was amazing. Towels and 1 day supply of tea, coffee etc supplied. There was a fridge. It was handy for the on site bar if you wanted meal / drink. Alternatively there are lots of bars restaurants just around the corner from the site. Great place if you are attending an event at Kings Hall.

Room 106 - Very little ventilation. It was HOT and no fan, the windows could only be slightly opened. Was woken up on Monday morning by the building works on the site. Cheap DIY Furniture, very flimsy and the bed creaked every time you moved.

Loved the quirkiness of the place and history. The size was perfect for a couple or lone traveller

Would have liked a washing up bowl and more milk. The water was too hot to shower for long but warning label was prominent. Loved the music coming from below but the info said live music only on a Friday and Saturday. May cause a complaint with other guests. It’s a shame the area is not well invested in. Few opportunities to eat out. A bus timetable and route map in the info book would have been useful

Location - handy for main railway station and bus stop just over the road Food - excellent meal in the restaurant below Room - bright, clean, modern conversion keeping small quirky reminders of the original building Utilities - everything you could wish for. Hob. Fridge. Microwave. Iron & board. Fan. Carparking - easy and secure Cityscape views Real feel good factor Staff - very friendly and helpful staff

Surrounding area a bit run down, but that's inner city life. This part of converted old Spode factory buildings is a delight

Clean a good size of the room, with a parking space and comfortable beds

We call the hotel, and a lady answered the phone, we try to explain that we hope to be in time(8pm when is the latest you can check in unfortunately) but we may be 10-15 minutes late, and she was like if you will come in time you can check in, if not find somewhere else, very rude and the time you may find someone in there is between 3pm to 8 pm, but you must leave at 10 am if not you will be charged more .... that's why I didn't understand .... such a shame because the hotel is brilliant, good size room and just like an apartment, is really nice , just Staff.... you can't find them or rude when you do ....

The room and property was very nice, comfortable and clean. The parking was free due to the parking machine being out of order. Would definitely stay again, for the area it won’t be beaten on price.

After reading the important information again, I noticed the £50 deposit which is required. Having to wait up to 14 days to receive the money back is a bit of an inconvenience. Surely once the room has been cleaned after checkout the money should be refunded instantly.

It was quirky and very welcoming. Loved the idea of aparthotel, felt like your own little space as if you weren’t even in a hotel. All staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and had all the info we needed on our questions asked. Would defo return hopefully on a night when we’re able to get tickets to the restaurant entertainment.

TV could have been placed a little better, had to watch it at a funky angle whilst in bed. Strange booking system with entertainment, the lady said you have to book tickets through the restaurant but when we asked it was all sold out. Had we have known it wasn’t through the hotel we may have been able to enjoy the live music. Wasn’t keen on having to pay an extra £50 deposit on top of the room cost and also having to provide photo ID, slightly strange as I’ve never had to do that before at any hotel.
