We could pick our breakfast from a full menu, not just a continental breakfast. The pub/Inn is in a quiet neighborhood, within walking distance of a quaint old Mill pond, city park, and grocery market store. Loved the quirky windy stairs up to the bedrooms. Typical of old Inn's, the room are small, but very clean with modern updated bathroom. The pub was mostly locals, enjoying a pint and watching the soccer game. So fun to be a part of a usual English village. The manager took care of all our needs, calling the local taxi for us to setup a morning pickup to get the the boat docks to meet our cruise boat.

The location is a bit further from the boat docks than I was expecting.

The room was very nice and the whole facility including the pub remodeled during covid. The real gem were the staff and very friendly local people in the pub. We had dinner there the night we arrived and a gentleman we made friends with had the cook come out of the kitchen and commit to cook my husband a beef pie because that is what he was hoping to have (it was not listed on the menu). The food was delicious and service great. Breakfast was also exceptional the next morning, cooked to order. The bed was comfy and room quiet even though over the pub. There was a nice patio outside to sit if desired and parking available. It had everything we needed.

Not a thing, everything was excellent and I would choose to stay there again!

We stayed here for one night to catch a ferry from Dover. The location is absolutely perfect, it took us 10 mins to get to the ferry. Perfect for an early crossing. The staff were so lovely and helpful. We arrived late and they made sure we were all settled and had everything we needed. Then made us a grab and go breakfast for the morning as we were too early for breakfast at the hotel which was left outside our door ready for us in the morning. The room was comfortable and clean and we had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay. Would stay again.

Car park was quite small and tight but other than that it was all great.

Lots to eat for breakfast. Lots of cereal, yoghurt, fruit etc. Before then being cooked a wonderful breakfast. Family operated business and all staff we encountered were wonderful, warm and caring and great for conversation. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend your place, as a place to stay!!!!!

Haven’t got anything to mention. Period properties will mean small rooms and steps but that’s the charm of staying in places like that. We stayed there because we couldn’t get a place in the town area but again we loved the staff and location. It was just a short taxi ride and staff booked us a taxi when needed.

Check in was so easy and we could do it ourselves so we didn't have to go into the pub. We went down to the bar to pay and get some drinks after putting our bags in the room. The girl on the bar was so lovely and really helpful - we booked a cab for that night as the pub wasn't serving food past 5pm - she even offered to sort it for us - really friendly welcoming place, with great staff and locals!! (the wine and cider was good too! lol)

Parking was tight, and there was a noisy fan noise outside our room, plus the light came in as the blinds weren't great and none at all at one window, so we were awake earlier than we wanted to be! My breakfast was great but hubby's scrambled eggs on toast were actually scrambled eggs on bread lol I only mention these things because it would've made a great stay a perfect one!!!

Location is very good - less than 15 minutes to the Ferries. Parking is a little limited but it's an older property so could not expect any thing else. Room was very clean, excellent shower ensuite bathroom with large, easily accessible shower, complementary toiletries. Bed a tad too firm if like us sleep on a soft mattress, however, I have slept on harder beds. We had to leave before breakfast serving so owner left us a grab and go bag to take with us. We had an evening meal in the pub - good standard of food.

All good

The room was so Gorgeous loved the decor and the fact it was a period property! The cleanliness was 10/10 The Food was delicious! The Breakfast especially was top notch and so was the breakfast host she was very welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. The Location is ideal to Dover Castle.

I just think that there should be specially reserved parking for guests as it gets full with the local patrons cars and there isn't any other near car parks around. We only were given two toliet rolls for our bathroom and they weren't replenished.

Staff very friendly and supportive. Breakfast nice and hot .Carol the chef was very happy and friendly. Our TV was not working for the 1st night but Nicky another member of staff took the time to re-tune it ,we were very grateful for this .

We were in room 1,the sound of the coolers was very loud and woke us a few times but by the second night we had got used to it .The bathroom was very cold ,but the room was lovely and warm.

The pub atmosphere was very nice, the staff was friendly, and we enjoyed our stay here. The room was a bit small, but the bathroom was fine. Car parking was free, which is always a plus. Breakfast was included and was good.

We had our car with us, which made traveling to the tourist attractions (Dover Castle, White Cliffs of Dover) easy. Without a car, it might have been a bit of a hassle. But we didn't explore the public transportation system, so I don't know for sure.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room was modern, clean and very cosy. The bed was really comfortable. We arrived a bit later than expected so unfortunately the pub kitchen had already closed, but the host was kind enough to suggest that we order in and she allowed us to eat our takeaway in the pub area and even supplied us with plates and cutlery. The breakfast served was also nice. The location was a little far from the city centre, however, it had beautiful green areas nearby which we discovered in the morning.
