Room was lovely. We got there late, because had difficulty finding it. When we came back from lunch meet up (about 6pm) for a rest the television and bedside lamps did not work. No one on reception to report when we went out again. Plug in Bath did not come up for water to go away when shower used. Had to leave bath with water in. Not good. No one on reception in morning to take keys just left on desk. Lovely hotel, but little niggles. The TV and lights were working in the morning. Maybe someone forgot to switch power on when we arrived.

TV and lights not working, and the bath plug not working

First thing that was exceptional was customer service and lady at front desk. I can't remember the name but she was SO nice and lovely - very helpful no matter what. Breakfast was great - you have selection of food you need to get them the day before - as a family we tried, full english, full english vege, mushroom omlette, avocado toast something, samon with scrmbled eggs... - they were all great. You also have toasts, jam, cereal etc. you can have. Room was very clean and cosy. Generally the whole experience was great - small things like atmosphere, smile, home cake for guests etc.

There was nothing I didn't like I think. It was all above my expectations.

I really liked the toiletries the White company flowers shampoo and body wash and hand soap. The room was clean. When I was going up to the room, the housekeeper saw me and helped with my suitcase.

The walls are very very thin. My neighbors on the same floor came in late at night and were noisy and using the bathroom and you could just hear everything. I will say this is on the top floor and there is no air conditioning. The window only opens a partially so can get hot.

The location, cleanliness, tea/coffee/water/cake Pillows and duvet very comfy. They woould have sold me a parking permit for the on street parking if needed (was £3.50)

I was in the box room at the top - It was small, but perfectly adequate with a good view. I didnt sleep that well - I found the blind didnt keep the sun out, so by 4:30 it was quite light and facing east. I would recommend curtains or a better blackout blind if possible. Other than that, I cant fault it.

Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was exceptional. Room was a little small for a double, but not a huge deal and it was very nice - lovely decor, great shower in the morning. It was exceptionally hot when we stayed (UK heatwave), but the hotel provided a fan which was very quiet and did the job. Lovely owners and just a beautiful Victorian hotel which has been refurbished. 2 minutes walk from seafront promenade, although you have a pretty hefty walk down to the beach (and back up hill again!) if you want to actually walk on the beach itself. Would have liked breakfast outside on the terrace maybe and the hotel has no bar, but these are only negatives for me - there’s plenty of hotel bars 100m away, i cannot really find major fault. Gorgeous old-fashioned English seafront hotel yet modern, you cannot go wrong here.

Such a lovely property, really nice and comfortable room with everything you need, great breakfast - tasty and a good choice of hot and cold food. Very attentive and friendly staff. Fresh homemade cake in the afternoon was amazing - best banana bread I’ve ever eaten. Great location too, only a few minutes from the sea. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Folkestone.

Very minor thing but we felt being charged £15 for later check out by 1 hour was pretty steep however appreciate that the hotel was able to be flexible in offering it to us and with all the good things we were happy to pay.

Amazing delicious breakfast, good quality produce, well presented highly impressive Warm welcome from Laura, very personal with important touches that made us relax and enjoy time out, scrumptious homemade cake, big comfy sofas all in period surroundings, evening sunset in our room. Ideal for us, spacious bedroom, huge bed, spotlessly clean, plush white towels, our favourite white company toiletries, good location too, easy walk to beach and restaurants

Large, clean and comfortable room. Good shower. Walking distance to beach and centre. Had to catch the ferry very early in the morning, so could not try the hot breakfast. The breakfast menu looked good though. Coffee machine and fridge with cold water and milk available at the reception.

Not really a complaint. We were at the very top floor and there is no elevator. For us not a problem but can be a problem for old people.

The hotel was in a beautiful old Georgian building, very close to the sea, The Leas, Leas Cliff hall (we were down for a gig there) and walking dustance to both the train station, town centre, the art quarter and the harbour arm. The host and other staff were all lovely and couldn't do enough for us. The room (Park) was a fantastic size, very clean with everything we needed and had a great view over the private gardens. The breakfast was very nice as was the lady serving it. All in all, we had a really great stay and would definitely return to The Relish!

No lift, however this wasn't an issue for us personally.

This place is a gem - from the front of house staff greeting you with offer of cake and coffee in the garden, to the perfectly arranged spacious rooms and of course a great location. We booked two rooms, which we arranged next to each other - both were lovely in their own way. Breakfast was brilliant and they were able to accommodate a very last minute order which we forgot to put in.

Bear in mind there is no lift - but this didn't bother us.
