Really enjoyed our stay, extremely clean and beds very comfortable. Quiet room even above a pub. Not ensuite but we had a private bathroom. Excellent value for money, food in the pub was good and the choice for vegetarians and vegans was varied.Sunday lunch was excellent and good value for money. Breakfast was fabulous, lots of choice and cooked fresh . There was a music and beer and cider festival on while we were there which was a bonus, we both had a ball with the friendly locals. Staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful. Mary has a good team behind her, she works very hard. I can highly recommend The Five Bell’s, good food, excellent beers and spirits and comfortable basic accommodation then you won’t go wrong.

Breakfast was served in pleasant restaurant attached to bar and a nice choice of cooked breakfast was cooked fresh to order. we started with a choice of cereals, tea or coffee and toast to finish. It was a relaxed quiet atmosphere with no need to rush. Just what we needed to recharge batteries! evening meals was in the quiet restaurant at other side and had a great choice of home made foods served by polite staff. The Five Bells is a well restored 17th century pub, and still has a village charm about it. The landlady was very friendly and showed us our room personally. A delightful duvet on the very comfortable bed made it look very attractive

Parking is very limited outside pub, so one evening we had to park at nearby free car park in Eastry village but it is only 150 yards away or so, so not a problem

Very friendly and helpful service throughout our visit, from our arrival to leaving in the morning. Great breakfast, cooked to order, with ability to choose precisely what items we had. It looked and tasted lovely.

It was not clear where we could park so we ended up parking in the road and walking back to the inn. In the evening we were the only customers eating in the dining room, which meant we were served quickly but we would have preferred it to be a little busier.

Nice quiet location within 15 mins drive from Dover and Deal. Friendly helpful staff. Quiet outside area at the rear of the pub which was nice to have a drink in the sun after our days out. Nice food for the evening meals and an excellent breakfast which was included in the price.

It’s a really character filled building from 17th Century. Many beams, nooks and crannies and interesting history snippets around the walls. We stayed overnight following a family celebration at the pub and were very glad we did. Mary and her staff could not have been more hospitable and produced a lovely meal for the 14 who were at lunch as well as a great breakfast cooked to order in the morning. Because of the age of the building be aware the stairs are steep and bedroom floors not level which may be an issue if you have mobility difficulties.

Absolutely nothing. Would happily stay/eat/drink there in the future.

Breakfast was amazing! Very quiet in the pub after hours and first thing in the morning. Very friendly and welcoming staff - like staying with family for the weekend!

Wi-fi not great in accommodation area - better in shared bathroom than twin bedroom. During spring summer a lot of light through the window - blackout curtains would solve. Very warm in the room - a fan was provided and needs to be always on.

Very pretty property with spacious and well-equipped room. We didn’t hear any noise from the pub below our room. The staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We needed to prolong our checkout time and this was no problem at all. We would highly recommend.

This place delivers what is says on the box. It is a village pub which has stayed loyal to the traditions of a local pub. It has not succumbed to trying to modernise and stuck to doing simple things well. Food is good home cooked grub. The landlady and her staff were welcoming friendly and exceptionally nice.

Loverly pub, good food and wonderful staff. Local's are a friendly crowd who enjoy a good laugh. Pub is the centre of their loval community which is something rare these days. It was a pleasure to stay.

the pub was cosy and welcoming the staff were always smiling and made sure you were well look after. Very clean and the rooms were good size. Also good location for getting to different places, lots to see.The cooked breakfast were lovely and plenty of coffee and tea. The food in the restaurant was a good price and again really good. The Sunday roast also really good.
