Days Inn Durham

Great location for me as a stop off on route from England to Scotland. Reception staff member was very friendly, caring & professional, making me feel very welcome as I arrived, this was a great first impression on arrival. The second great impression was entering the bedroom to find the bath towels in the shape of a swan very impressive & brought a huge smile to my face straight away. A Big Thank You to all the staff.

The shower pressure was low in the room that I was in.

The hotel had the basic amenities. Everything was clean and well maintained. Please note that I was here for longer than the average stay ( I was there for 14 or so days) I cannot praise the staff highly enough. I had a couple of personal crises with family members and the staff helped me to navigate the situations very competently and professionally. Aside from that, the staff were always receptive, helpful and attentive to any needs I had.

Nothing.

There was no breakfast available. (But I didn’t want breakfast anyway, so no problem!) Staff - receptionist at 11pm was particularly helpful and she overcame the problem of the faulty towel rail by kindly taking damp towels and drying them elsewhere for me, and leaving them outside my room for me when she finished her shift. She also lent me a charger for my phone, which was a godsend. The quietness of the hotel The size of the room - bigger than I expected and very welcome The window! Very welcome that it opened properly and easily for fresh air, and could be safely left open. Bed - very comfortable! Bedding - crisp and clean

Heated towel rail didn’t warm up at all. It remained stone cold. The double room for one adult with one dog, no breakfast included, cost me £79, which was £20 more than I was expecting to pay for that provision. (However, the helpfulness and friendliness of your overnight receptionist did go a long way to make up for that)

Easy to find. Plenty of parking and good amenities very close by. Staff were very friendly and super helpful when we arrived and realised there was no lift to get my son, who is in a disability pushchair up to the room that was originally booked. They quickly changed our room to a ground floor room. Rooms were spacious and clean. Will definitely be staying again in future when visiting family again.

Having a mobity Issue I was very pleased with the level entry and the fully adapted room. Staff were lovely . Very comfy bed and the lovely hot bath I had was just what ineeded after a long journey. The fact that there was a McDonald's right next door made all the difference.

You need to install a disabled door opening system. I was only just able to open the main door, it was extremely heavy and difficult. I walk with a stick and getting in the front door was a real struggle between the heavy door, a walking stick and a suitcase I was in real strife, so much so that couldn't get through the door before the weight of it and the bottom of the door handle caught my leg and I now have a massive bruise.

The hotel was close to all our planned visiting places. Very clean, the bed was soft and bouncy, which we loved, we had everything we needed. The room was warm and possible to warm it over night, clean towels, the cleaner could clean every day if need it, we had kettle and tea, coffee and sugar . All ok . For sure i will book again a staying at Days inn hotels

The towel heater in the bathroom didnt work even the switch was on. The plugs were on the opposite wall from the one where the beds were and of course we couldnt plug the phones next to bed which is normal for these times. We could do with a small fridge because the milk went off from one day to another. Hope next visit will be different. For sure i will pack an extension for the plugs :)) and i will buy a different kind of milk, the one more resistant out of fridge :))

Great value for money, beds weren’t fantastic but still comfortable enough to get a good sleep (can’t complain for the price!), local amenities, property had all the facilities we needed. Perfect for somewhere to just stay the night, ideal for anyone travelling / needing a bed for the night.

The location wasn’t ideal as we don’t drive, not a fault of the property at all but something to bare in mind if you don’t drive. The beds were very bouncy, almost like a water bed. Being near the road it was quite noisy most of the night (not enough to disturb your sleeping), if you’re a light sleeper bare this in mind! There isn’t any food services or vending machines which i think would be a great asset.

Room was spacious which was good as we had two small dogs. Comfortable beds and all the amenities you could want. Staff were brilliant and even provided us with a ground level room when they realised we had dogs. Excellent to have accommodation like this that takes dogs. Set in a service station so had all the food and coffee shops we could want.

Room was very warm and windows don't open a lot.

Room was extremely quiet, thank you! Bed very comfortable, everywhere clean. Price for room was exceptional, delighted with that. Staff were extremely pleasant, courteous, professional and most helpful.

Nothing really, exceptional value for money. I will certainly stay at Durham Days Inn again, have done so several times over many years, and would not hesitate to recommend it.

On arrival, we were greeted by a lovley lady on reception. She was very helpful and pleasant. Made you feel very welcome. We asked about somewhere to eat with children, and she kindly googled a gem of a place called The Pouchers. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The family room was a great size and had everything you needed. This place is in a great location, very easy to find. And superb value for money.
