We LOVED this hotel so much we've already become members, and booked a stay at their upcoming hotel in Kensington. This place is like 5 star accommodation. The staff was helpful and friendly. Everything is well thought out. The cafe is wonderful. Fabulous coffee we loved so much, we didn't have coffee anywhere else. The room was gorgeous, and larger than a London apartment. The room has radiant heating, with heat coming from the floors. Gorgeous finishes, sparkling clean and new. The kitchen was SO well stocked we could enjoy my birthday champagne in proper champagne glasses. Included also was a fridge, kettle, dishwasher, clothes washer, etc. There was a white noise machine by the bed, and a yoga mat in the room. There was also loads of storage for tucking away our belongings. The living area was separated from the bed area. I'm so happy we had 3 nights there, it was the best stay we've had anywhere.

Everything was so well thought out, EXCEPT for the bathroom mirror. There was no makeup light, and lighting in the bathroom was dark. Bring a makeup mirror, as it is tricky doing makeup here.

Loved having a little apartment inside a hotel. Excellent kitchen facilities, dishwasher, washing machine, crockery.. goodness sake even a colander ! The shower was amazin and didnt take me 3 attempts to work out how to work it. Demisting mirror in bathroom.. Never had anything much to do with staff but they seemed friendly enough. Location makes it easy to walk to all major sites and access buses to zoo, Britania etc. Tonnes of bars and resturants almost too many to chose from

Room at back of the building so expect to be woken at all hours for a whole variety of reasons ... part of being in a city. Personally I would have liked TV in the bedroom area but used my tablet to watch TV in bed.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The staff are extraordinarily nice - so helpful and kind. We had come in to town on the Caledonian Sleeper, and we were able to store our bags before check in. The rooms are lovely. Ours had a kitchen/sofa /tv area and a bedroom and very nice bathroom. Very comfortable, great mattress and really well equipped. The cafe downstairs has delicious coffee, pastries etc.

The only very tiny thing is that I would have preferred warm light bulbs over white light in the bedroom, and that it could be a tad dark in the bedroom at times - but very much a small thing.

A gorgeous hotel, the staff were super friendly & helpful from the minute we arrived. The place smells INCREDIBLE all the time. The cafe downstairs is so lovely and great atmosphere! The room was comfortable, a good size, nicely designed and there was ample room. Really enjoyed our stay and Edinburgh is absolutely beautiful! Would definitely stay at Eden Locke again.

We had a slight problem with the mattress as it seemed to dip in the middle. The room was slightly dark, particularly in the bedroom part as there was no window (may not be an issue for most people). The sofa was quite small & not massively comfy so wouldn’t be ideal if you intend on having a night in on the sofa (again not an issue for most) :)

First and foremost, we loved the location on George Street, which is just a short walk to Princes Street. It was a lovely welcoming space (staff included!) and a great base for seeing the heart of Edinburgh. The studio apartment was very clean and cosy, and more than spacious enough for the two of us. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay: a large comfy bed, kitchen facilities, and a modern bathroom with a shower. The addition of a white noise machine by the bed was a great idea. The apartment itself was just perfect for our needs; it had an Airbnb meets boutique hotel vibe. And the onsite coffee lounge/bar was an added bonus. We very much enjoyed our two-night stay, loved the hotel's concept and we wouldn't hesitate to stay at Eden Locke again.

Nothing really! But - and this is being picky because it didn't change how we felt about the experience - we had a room at the back of the building. So it may have been a little darker compared to the apartments at the front of the hotel. And it was a bit noisy in the mornings due to bottles being collected from nearby pubs. But the noise didn't last long and wasn't the hotel's fault.

There was a lift, which was a blessing because my apartment was level 4. The room was great, big and comfy bed with even a sound machine and ear plugs! Safety deposit box right near the bed. The bathroom had amazing water pressure and the floors were heated. The cabinet above the sink had plenty of space. The couch in the living area was a bit small but still great. The kitchen's fan wasn't working but everything else was great! Loved the Chromecast connection. I really utilised the washing and drying machine, and even iron. My clothes that couldn't be tumble dried were easily hung and dried by the next morning. The lighting was a little dark besides the bathroom but it wasn't a huge issue. Also there was a fire alarm at 4am my first night which was annoying but quickly dealt with and they even apologised with a note and a couple vouchers for hot drinks. Location was close to princes St, but remember it's hilly in Edinburgh so don't disregard the walk up to old town. Not too far from station, but my luggage made it worse. Everyone was so lovely and friendly too! Also I took advantage of the free yoga class which was a walk to get to but much needed after all my walking!!

Wish some essentials could be provided like some oil for cooking!

Great location close to the mile but far enough away to be quiet and less touristy. Walked everywhere but also easy access to bus service for further exploring. Rooms were nice besides bathroom door right next to bed. Just bad luck with our particular room. Loved having the washing machine and dryer in the room. Beds and pillows comfortable. Bathroom good. Would definitely stay again. Fabulous restaurants not far away. Dishoom and Noto a must.

Noisy trucks picking up bottles every morning but not too early luckily.

The apartment and staff were excellent, and it was handy to have the reception desk downstairs. As Eden Locke is in the George Street neighborhood on the north side of the castle area, it was quiet--especially compared to Edinburgh's Old Town on the south side of the castle. Yet the George Street area had decent dining options and stores and, on some days, some festivities several blocks east.

The location was just a few blocks too far west to be a quick walk to the Royal Mile area, or to the train stations and the bus station.

The location is excellent. 15-minute walk to the train station. The street is quiet and nice. The room is excellent! They have a white noise speaker which is very well prepared if there is any noise but the room is quiet during our stay. The bathroom is very clean and new. The bed is super clean and comfy. There is one tiny point I spotted - they have pads and tampons in the public toilet which is very thoughtful. Staying in Eden Locke makes you feel at home. I will definitely look for Eden Locke in other European cities if they have one on my next travel.

I can't think of any! Perhaps if there are slippers available would be better in winter? Maybe they have them available at the counter but it is just me who did not ask further.

It was a perfect little, quiet space right in the throng of the city. Really beautifully decorated and presented and immaculately clean. The staff were so helpful and the WhatsApp facility was treat for an ASDer like me who isn't keen on phone conversations. Also, super comfy bed.

The kitchen could have been a wee bit better as far as utensils etc go and we had no clue how to work the oven. We also tried watching something on YouTube on the TV and it was a waste of time, it kept jumping and getting stuck. All in all though it was a perfect wee nook 😁
