The staff at this location was extremely prompt and friendly. They work very hard. The room was comfortable and clean.

Consider keeping the curtains closed on sunny days. Our room was extremely hot when we returned after housekeeping came in. It was the front room and the sun was shining directly in through the window. The heat was off, but the room was uncomfortably hot. The windows themselves were very warm from the sun. This wasn't the fault of the staff. Just something to consider when cleaning. We were otherwise extremely satisfied with the location.

We had a meal on our arrival in the evening and the kitchen accommodated our late arrival. Excellent food. Really really tasty. The room was nice with everything we needed. The breakfast the following morning was as tasty as the meal the night before. Great service. Great recommendation from the staff on where to find the seals at the beach. Would come again.

The kids were on a double sofa bed and said it was a little wispy and uncomfortable but they both slept ok.

Very dog friendly. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. The breakfast was delicious and the evening meal of steak and ale pie out of this world. It was just a short walk down to the seal beach. Forvie Nature reserve just down the road too. Perfect for a wildlife spotting break.

The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work unless I stood on a chair to turn it on and off by the isolator switch. The info from booking.com stated that check out was 11am but the room info said 10am.

the staff were so so lovely, we had a baby shower in the main restaurant and they couldn't have been more accommodating, always checking we had drink etc we had afternoon tea and this was absolutely delicious. rooms were spotless with bottles of the water lots of tea and coffee. the showers were very good with great pressure. we had breakfast the next morning which great with a wide variety, this place is a stones throw away from the beach. what mroe could you want. i will definitely be staying again when visiting family.

Everything! The staff are amazing very welcoming they totally make this place. The food is amazing to and the chefs are fabtatsic. Our room was very cosy with lots of heating and comfy bed I could have stayed in all day. Shower was great hot and powerfull. Breakfast had a great choice and was able to try most as we stayed for four nights here. The seal colony at the back of the Inn is amazing lovely beach walks and plenty to do in the area This place is that good that we are booking again for Christmas..

the staff were all very nice and friendly-the girl who served us had a great knowledge of the menu and beers.Room huge and very comfortable. We would stay here again without question.

going into the bar, we were speaking with an American, watching cricket, no one else there, when 3 locals came in, young men under the influence and put the juke box on so loud we couldn't hear ourselves talk to the the American so we left. It was also a shame that there wasn't a residents lounge or bar as we had to leave the restaurant as it closed early around 9pm. Def needs somewhere for residents to chat and have a drink indoors when the restaurant closes.

A wide choice of breakfast and well prepared. Good dining. Mostly very friendly staff. Very close to dunes with extensive wild life especially on the mud flats.

The last breakfast service was slow. Such a shame since for the two previous breakfasts service was prompt. The room was let down by ensuite maintenance defects - toilet roll holder missing, only one hook for towels or clothing, some mold on shower tray.

Hotel is on the edge of a lovely little village and ideally located for access to beach and river estuary, where nature lovers can see seals and lots of seabirds. The hotel is not fancy but has a good atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful. Food was excellent both dinner and cooked breakfast. Also dog friendly. Would stay again.

Not really anything. Just little things,such as dining room floor could do with restating, small bit of mould on shower.

This was a nice little spot to stop for us between Aberdeen and Inverness and the proximity to the seal beach was wonderful! The staff were really friendly, the room was well equipped, and there was a great bathroom. Nice restaurant where we had an excellent dinner (and huge whisky selection) and delicious breakfast with great options!

The walls are quite thin - we could hear the TV and talking in the next room, which was a bit distracting. I was quite tired, so was fine to sleep through but could be quite distracting if you're a light sleeper.

Within walking distance to the beach so we were able to go for a nice walk. The room was very clean, staff were very friendly and the food was excellent- we had dinner and also the complimentary breakfast both were great. lots of parking which was good because had a hire car. Room was warm and the shower hot. Would stay again.

it was a bit noisy until the hotel closed but it was then very quiet. Nothing ear plugs don’t fix!
