We had a brilliant stay at the New Inn. We were there as we were exhibiting at a market at the Ellon Castle Gardens, which were just 2 mins away from the hotel. On arrival we got a lovely warm welcome and were told everything we needed to know about our stay and the area. As we would not make breakfast they offered to make packed lunches for us which was just brilliant. We also arrived after in the evening and they booked us into the bar for dinner which was delicious. Our room was immaculate, comfy beds, good shower and plenty of space. On the second night we hadn't booked dinner and even though the restaurant and bar was fully booked the staff went above and beyond to fit a table into the bar for us, exceptional service!! We would highly recommend this hotel as it is friendly, comfortable and a very high standard! Well done to the New Inn Team!

Super value for money, a really lovely hotel with parking at the back of the property. Wonderful food - the chef's homemade lasagne was brilliant. Amazing quality breakfast too with lovely staff at breakfast and lunch. We will definitely use this lovely hotel again.

Couldn't get wi-fi to hooked up so used our phones instead. Very annoying guests in room opposite, who made huge noise going to bed at 1am (on a Tuesday!) and then about 30 mins later - singing and shouting.

Everything was excellent. Good atmosphere in the bar Friday (quiz), Saturday (karaoke). Good food in the restaurant.

I have only one small niggle. We stayed two nights B&B. Breakfast had to be pre-ordered the night before by selecting options on a sheet. Not a problem. For both mornings, I ticked one portion of white toast and one portion of brown toast. Over the two breakfasts, we received one portion of brown toast despite reminding the server. As I said, overall it was an excellent stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to book it again.

This property truly provides superior lodging. I stayed in several nice hotels in Scotland on this trip, and The New Inn stood out as the best. The common areas and room were spotless. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast service started later in the morning on the weekend and was unfortunately slow just when we happened to arrive. This caused some stress since we had to make an early departure. The overall experience was excellent, but it was sad to have to rush at the end.

Everything was very pleasent and comfortable. We stayed In a room that was recently renovated, and it looked great and both bed and sofa were very comfortable. Shower was great - very good water pressure and a sophisticated mirror that thaws the condensation by itself and tells the time. Staff was very nice and helpful - in the hotel as well as the restaurant and bar. We had a blast at the bar. So yes, definitely will recommend to anyone.

Wifi could be a bit stronger in the room.

Breakfast was excellent. Was leaving property very early on first day, with no option for breakfast at 6am, but that is fairly normal. If could have had a continental option, that would have been great. Cooked breakfast was really good. Very hot, and not greasy at all.

Unfortunately there was no bath, just a shower. Having ran for 12 hours, a lie in a bath would have been welcomed.

The experience was really nice, the room was clean, very comfortable and excellent value of money. We had dinner at the bar, staff very friendly. Same to be said at breakfast and at check-in and check-out. Would highly recommend if passing through or for a work trip.

Bar food was standard bar food. Nothing earth shattering, but a decent enough burger with a drink. Breakfast was perhaps on the smaller side, but overall more than good enough.

Very pleasant atmosphere generally and friendly, helpful staff. The meal we had on Friday evening was of a good standard but the breakfast could have been better, I had to request the toast and apple juice I had ordered.

As said above, the standard of the breakfast could be more consistent… there was no toast included with the scrambled eggs and when I requested the toast which I had ordered, I was given only one slice even though there was a very generous dish of jams.

Stayed two nights while attending a family wedding, the room we had was very roomy and had a sofa which was a bonus, ate in the bar on one evening everything was very good, nice selection for breakfast, plenty room in the car park and very easy to locate on arriving in Ellon, would definitely stay here again if in the area.

Quite a lot of noise late on from the outdoor seating area, it was Friday night so it went on quite late.

We stayed in the flat, it was comfy and had everything we needed. Great that we could look out onto the car park as well so we could see our bikes. Staff were helpful and polite. Food was great. Restaurant was busy so we had a meal in the bar. Breakfast was great. Very happy
