Breakfast was good ,as was the evening menu,a bit on the expensive side but so was every thing else in Falmouth. The staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble.

Some instructions on finding the place would have been good, just something simple like ,follow signs to Maritime Museum, then turn down rd past Trago Mills, as you can't access Chainlocker from the main st between the hours of 11 till 4pm, .The basin in the bathroom was useless ,it was small and a glass shelf just above it made life very difficult. The room was not as big as expected but it was just about ok for 4 nights

The Chain Locker Pub Inn was the most enjoyable inn that I stayed in on the trip to Cornwall. Downstairs was a very historic little pub. The room was great and the view was simply outstanding overlooking the harbor. Breakfast was very good. The staff was really nice and worked well together as a team with Josh as the manager. The restaurant bar had a great view overlooking the harbor and I was served by really friendly bartenders. This inn was a really great "find!"

There was nothing about the Chain Locker that I didn't like or need improvement.

It was freezing when we arrived, it was January; rain, wind and hail. We stepped into the bar of the Chainlocker, we had a warm welcome from the staff and a warm welcome in the bar due to its 2 open fires. Our room was clean and had everything we needed including a coffee machine, with great coffee. The shower room had high quality products. We both slept amazingly well and I've emailed the manager to ask what brand was the mattress; were looking for a new one and want that one, best nights sleep ever. We ate in the bar that night, but had our breakfasts in their restaurant. The food was of an excellent standard. It was so nice to have a suger pot instead of sachets, and bottles of sauces instead of those dreadful sachets you can never open! Location was lovely, down on the waterfront and yet in the centre of town. We're already planning our next trip to Falmouth, we'll definitely stay at the Chainlocker and next time hopefully we'll secure a Seaview room.

Perfect location, situated right on the harbour side. The walls are seething with history and the property has a lovely, cosy feel, especially if you’re sat near the fire place. The staff were very accommodating. There is a great selection of local beers, ciders, ales and gins on offer and a great food menu. I had originally planned to stay for 2 nights, but extended it to 3 and stayed in 2 different rooms, which were both very comfortable and well decorated. There is nearby parking available and this is very reasonably priced.

New, Modern, View. Friendly greeting by staff a member who carried bag to my room. Friendly staff evening and morning. Lovely food. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and be pleasant.🙂

A little noise from revellers at night down the side road where my room was - probably due to Halloween. Services vehicles down side road morning. Obviously not things the hotel can control, and I would be prepared to put up with. Would like a full length mirror in room. Better signage for a dark night to show the direct route to the hotel reception and restaurant - so as not to have to walk into the downstairs bar.

Lovely, clean rooms, good size. Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff. Central location, could be a little noisy in the evenings but you’re in the middle of town so to be expected, didn’t stop us getting a restful night - fine for night owls but might be disruptive if you like to go to bed early.

Quite a few stairs to room… not too problematic but something to be aware of. Can be a bit noisy outside until midnight ish… we stayed over the weekend, so not unexpected.

Lovely little pub with restaurant above it and rooms to stay over, great central location. Check in was smooth, evening meal with great selection of drinks very good, staff were on the ball and worked with a smile which makes all the difference, room was ok, clean and tidy but perhaps double glazing could be installed as some noise from outside and I imagine in summer months that noise could be an issue (beer garden outside).

Shower cubicle could be much bigger. Key with a large key fob for your room is very dated.

The staff were very helpful and lovely. the room was beautifully decorated and extremely clean and comfortable. we met friends for dinner in the restaurant and the food was great. the staff directed us to parking just steps away.

there were no gluten free options for breakfast. there are so many people with food allergies that being able to offer a gluten free granola or a non dairy yoghurt is really important. so I wasn’t able to eat any of the food they had available

Brilliant location, ideal for meeting up with family. Sunday lunch really good. Staff friendly.

We were hoping for a harbour view but instead overlooked a narrow side street which was noisy at times, needed earplugs. A bit of a walk to car parks especially in all the rain we had. Breakfast on first morning could've been better, was supposed to be 'smashed' avocado but had hard lumps and scrambled eggs not very nice.

Great location, lovely views, excellent staff, breakfasts (included in room rates) were delicious, generous and very good value. The bar and restaurant were lively and enjoyable places to be. Fantastic shower, warm and comfortable feel. menu in the restaurant was varied and delicious, reasonably priced and the wine list was well stocked. Good local beers on tap.

Room size (we were in a King Room) was a little small (14m sq), no WiFi, no wardrobe or enough space for two to put clothes for a longer stay.
