Classic English townhouse; lobby, bar and restaurant are decorated in a modern Scandinavian style. Our room was simple and clean with a large bathroom. A continental breakfast is served and in the evening there is a simple pizza and tapas menu available. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are sufficient parking spaces, including a charging point for an electric car. The hotel is located on a hill within walking distance of the center. Keep in mind that you have to go up the hill on the way back.

We booked this hotel because it has a charging point for electric cars. However, upon arrival, the charging station turned out to have a malfunction. The owner immediately took action to report the malfunction to the company that installed the charging station. We did not experience any major inconvenience, because our car was still sufficiently charged. Unfortunately, the pump, which pumps the sewage to the sewer, had a malfunction during the night. This caused a loud humming noise. After we reported the noise, the pump was manually turned off during the night.

The single "room" was adequate for the length of stay. The "linen" and "towels" were clean and the "bed" was comfortable, but the "pillows" really need plumping up or replacing as they were both rather flat and unsupportive, however I usually struggle to find comfy pillows, so this may not be completely fair observation. I enjoyed the "breakfast"... I don't usually eat a cooked breakfast, so the Scandi style suited me well and there was a good variety of food to choose from. Bright and spacious "dining room".

I really didn't enjoy the tea/coffee making facilities provided in the room. I do think it's time all accommodation providers improved their offering on this front. The provision of fresh milk would be a step in the right direction, but perhaps I could have asked for some.

Gorgeous old English house. When you walk in the decor and ambiance is top notch. There is a fireplace in a beautiful lobby where I spent a good amount of my time. I had large room and it was indeed very spacious and clean. Brisk walk down the hill and you're right in the center of Truro.

There's a sharp contrast between the trendy entry and lobby and communal spaces versus the room upstairs (I think management just didn't get to renovate up there yet). The room is not bad at all but has some 'basicness' to it. As the room is spacious and clean and the bed's very comfortable the end experience was fabulous.

We requested a quiet room which was fulfilled so we were delighted. Unfortunately, we omitted to ask if the - as yet - not refurbished room had a shower. Certainly not the hotel's fault but we had a really lovely bath except that our old knees weren't up to getting in and out of the bath with ease! No doubt when the room, which is only one of two to still be refurbished, an extractor fan in the bathroom will be included. We loved the simple Scandi decor of the hotel and will definitely be going back. Continental breakfast suited our lifestyle. Helpful, friendly staff together with the hotel's location was perfect so, all in all, a great stay! Thank you.

Bedroom clean and bright and well furnished with fresh white bed linen, comfortable bed and heavy curtains to block out light. Tea/coffee tray well stocked. Bath towels soft and fluffy and good size.

En-suite a little tired and shower cubicle in need of a good scrub to remove some blackmould although WC and basin clean. A handrail would be useful when stepping in or out of shower as it it entails a step up/down to enter.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean . The staff were friendly and provided the breakfast with dietary requirements thank you.

The shower was so difficult to get in an out of- so high and narrow, also the window system was very hard to manage. I wasn’t expecting all those stairs- so it should not be recommended for those over 75 or with mobility issues. Also on the map it does not indicate how steep a hill it is on so bus numbers could be recommended for those arriving by train.

Very good continental breakfast with good service. nice large breakfast room and a good bar and lounge area. Staff very friendly and helpful. We would stay again but not in the summer if the radiator could not be turned off/down.

Room 17 The TV signal was poor and although the staff attempted to correct it the TV still kept losing the signal. We were unable to turn the radiator off, which was very hot. We did notify the staff when we left.

Lovely hotel with super friendly staff. Our room was really clean and the bed was so comfortable! We stayed for 3 nights and had a great nights sleep each night! Great continental breakfast available and lots of parking on site (which is rare in Truro!). It's in a great location and provides a good base to explore Truro and beyond. We were visiting family in Truro and would absolutely stay here again!

Great continental breakfast provided although we would have loved to have seen a few more cooked options available (just a personal preference thing). If you have walking difficulties and are unfamiliar with Truro, be advised that the walk from the city centre back to the hotel is all uphill (was not an issue for us but thought that it was worth mentioning). We stayed in room 3 which is a great room - only negative that we could find with it is the position of the TV which is quite high on the wall and close to one of the main spotlight bulbs. We would not suggest trying to watch TV whilst the main light is on as you will be looking into a bulb at the same time. We just used the bedside lamps instead so it wasn't a big issue (again, just thought it was worth mentioning).

The staff were super friendly. We are both vegans, and they provided us vegan alternatives for breakfast. Also were travelling with our doggie. The staff helped us with the doggie :) There is free car park, which was super convenient. The rooms were very clean.

The decoration of the rooms and the corridors leading up to the rooms are super old. The entrance, food hall, reception etc looked very nicely decorated. The decoration was not important to us tho. Everything was functional.

Friendly helpful staff. stylish refurbishment of the original building. plenty of on site parking. Room and en suite bathroom good and clean. Quiet location.

The so called Scandinavian breakfast was a bit basic, with little variation. The high level windows in the new extension provide no outlook, as presumably these rooms are near the boundary with a neighbouring property. The only evening meal option is a narrow choice of pizza. The nearest restaurants however, are within a 10 minute easy walk.
