Lovely old Cornish pub with a stylish interior, whilst retaining that traditional charm. Really friendly staff serving a good mixture of locals and students (there was a great quiz night on the Tuesday we stayed). Fantastic location and if the Jacobs’s Ladder steps are too much, you can walk up from the other direction.. The rooms were really comfortable and we all slept well. Good views of the sea over the rooftops and a lovely breakfast catering for all needs, in the morning. definitely hope to stay here again.

Parking is rather limited, but we parked in the Quarry car park which is not far away, so worth the short and steep walk.

Nice room in old pub, staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Room is located above a bar, so convenient for food and drink, bar is popular so there is noise until midnight. If you don’t mind steep steps, it’s a nice walk in several directions to explore the Center of Falmouth, which is historic and pretty.

Parking near the location can be a real challenge, you need to find permitted on-street parking and that may involve several laps of the neighbourhood. Didn’t bother me but I can see it being a challenge for some people.

The room was lovely with tasteful decor, spacious with a sea view. We had a full English breakfast both mornings which was tasty and hot. The location is great with just a 5min walk to town. There are lots of steps and a hill so great exercise. We managed to park right outside. The pub has a good atmosphere. Dog friendly which we love!

Can I recommend different dispenser pumps in the bathroom - none of ours worked. Maybe look at the opening of the window so it’s more user friendly. It is an old building so love the sash windows and quirkiness but difficult to leave the window open. It was still a great room!

We had a double bedroom with a en suit bathroom. The bedroom was good in size. It was nice to have an extra chair. The electric shower was a little weak. It was nice to have coffee/ tea facility. Also our room was to the side of the building, so quieter in the evening and night time. Breakfast was excellent, loved the sour dough bread. Location is alright for a fit person. There is the 'Jacobs Ladder' stair way up to the pub with around 112 steps. But for the not so fit person there are plenty of other ways to get up from the main shopping street, up to the pub/ hotel.

A few pictures on the walls in the bedroom :-), bed side tables, more in stile with the rest of the room. a lamp shade more in style with the rest of the room. Little touches and it would be perfect.

Overall slept well and was happy with the room. It was modern, nice and clean with coffee making facilities. Tasty full English breakfast which came out quickly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good value compared to a lot of other places nearby.

Bathroom was outside of the room which isn't ideal but we knew this beforehand. Parking outside only allowed until 9am so we had to get up quite early to finish breakfast in time. Curtain was very hard to close in the bedroom and should be replaced. A bit noisy as above a pub.

The building had a 'Poldark' like character from the outside, which I liked, but all the facilities were bang up to date. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. I also had the evening meal which was very good although the menu is not as expansive as some larger hotels but remember this is as Inn. Staff were friendly and attentative to both me and my pet dog.

Falmouth is an old coastal town perched on cliff tops with strong naval traditions. These places were built long before cars were invented so the roads are inevitably narrow and car parking is limited but we found sufficient on-street parking near the Inn on both nights of our stay.

Jacobs Ladder is a lovely old Inn. The rooms were lovely and clean and beautifully decorated. We had a lovely view out of our room over the top of the houses of the sea. We had tea and coffee making facilities in our room and even had glass bottled local water, not plastic😊. We stayed on a Saturday night when they have live music and although we could hear it slightly from our room it didn’t stop us from sleeping in our extremely comfortable beds. The breakfast was lovely and we all had plenty to eat. We had a choice from a full English, Continental or cereal. We had our evening meal at Jacobs Ladder as well which again was lovely. All the staff we met were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely stay again.

Our room was a really good size and very clean, the breakfast was great, the location for the town was very central (we were attending the Shanty Festival) and the staff were very friendly.

The continental breakfast wasn't great, not nearly as good as the cooked breakfast. While the pub is centrally located for the town, it is at the top of very steep steps and there isn't much if any parking, but it is an old pub that was built before the car, so that can't be changed and we were fully aware of that when booking. This is not a criticism, merely advice to future guest, that they should be aware.

Staff were warm, welcoming and very helpful. Cooked breakfast was delicious. Falmouth a lovely place to stay. We left one of our bags in the room when we left and we live 7hours away. Spencer the owner has very kindly arranged to post it to us. An expensive mistake we hope never to repeat!!

Nearest parking was 5 minutes walk away. Bit of an up hill stint with your bags

The big bonus with this accommodation is the pub - it's a little way from the town centre and popular with locals as well as visitors. It has a really good bar area with a log fire, sofas, a darts area as well as tables for those wishing to eat. Do not miss the Sunday roast, one of the best we've ever had. The staff are so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was nicely furnished, very clean and comfortable. The hotel location is at the top of Jacobs ladder which is a steep climb from the town but a short trip by taxi.

We stayed 2 nights but couldn't park close to the hotel during that time. We're fit so parking a few streets away wasn't a problem for us. Trip advisor reviews frequently mention the great breakfast and if you prefer a traditional cooked breakfast then you won't be disappointed, but the continental breakfast wasn't very inspiring. For the price of the room we would usually expect to have a choice of bread, yoghurt, muesli/granola and fruit in addition to the more traditional choices on offer.
