The location was perfect! We loved the view of the sea out over the lawns and the proximity of the beach. The suite was roomy and comfortable and we were so grateful to be able to bring our dog. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

It is difficult to fault our stay but there were a couple of minor criticisms. We found both the teapot and coffee pot in the cupboard still full and with a thick layer of mould. Breakfast was generally very good except for the bread which was cheap sliced bread from a supermarket (whereas we would have expected a selection of fresh bread from a bakery) and the smashed avocado was not fresh. It was more like a guacamole dip from a jar containing a lot of preservative. It was pretty inedible.

Beautiful setting/garden.Nicely decorated room and garden for the dog to stretch her legs in which was secure. Lovely pool indoors. Friendly staff. Good choice of breakfast and of a good standard. Bed was very comfortable, lovely sheets and good quality pillows. Slept very well.

The bathroom facilities are not suitable for a disabled person. There is a step to navigate to climb up to enter the bath and also to exit same. The shower can not be used as there was no rail or curtain fitted .Bathroom sink would not drain water away. Too few coat hangers on arrival but these we’re supplied on request. Chairs in dining room need felt fitted to prevent the dreadful screeching when they are pulled in and out!

set in a beautiful part of the Cornish coast, with spectacular views of the bay. A lovely hotel with apartment style rooms, our room was in slate house on the ground floor and it had a lovely patio with table and chairs into a secluded garden. the rooms were of a good size and facilities included a microwave, fridge, toaster and kettle. Local tea and coffee was supplied with a pint of fresh milk in the fridge. The breakfast was in the style of continental buffet and order hot food from extensive breakfast menu. The evening meals were excellent and certainly of a very high standard. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful, we certainly felt well looked after. The swimming pool is lovely and we loved the exclusivity of the pool by booking private 3/4 hour sessions. Just a sort walk down the hill and you come to the beautiful secluded Germans bay. Here you can join the SW coastal walkway and walk to the beautiful costal village of Portscatho with lovely pubs, art galleries and a few gift shops. In all I certainly recommend a stress free, relaxing holiday at the Rosevine hotel.

we loved the place.

Lovely gardens, great beach a few minutes walk away, with very nice coastal path. Very good food (breakfast and dinner). Large room with nice views of the garden and sea. Friendly and professional staff. Overall dog-friendly. EV chargers out front. Bed comfortable.

A little remote - great if that's what you're looking for, but if you want e.g. more dining options then you need to travel. Some noise from other guests. An inconvenience that other guests park non-EVs in the EV charging spaces, and half of the EV chargers not working - but that seems to be common problem in England, definitely not only this property. However, the biggest challenge at The Rosevine was the wifi - we got an average of 2 mbps (after trying with 4 different devices), which makes most things impossible.

Beautiful small hotel and great location. Lovely gardens. We were upgraded to a large family suite.

My only complaint was the restaurant menu as it was the same every night and lacked enough choices. There wasn’t much on the menu I could or wanted to eat. My husband had the pork belly one night and it was just ok. The next night was the brisket and it was joy very good. I asked for vegetarian but the risotto wasn’t a true risotto but rice with veggies in it. We had to go into town and eat at a pub our last night. Also the sofa was terribly uncomfortable as there wasn’t much left to the stuffing in the cushions.

The Hotel and gardens were in a beautiful setting with views of the sea from our room and the restaurant. A very quiet beach with lovely beach hut for food and drinks was just a few minutes walk away. The hotel was very quiet at the end of a narrow lane, which ended at the beach, so no through traffic. The breakfast and dinner were excellent and delicious. Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The hotel was extremely welcoming to our dog too, with very few areas out of bounds. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and somewhere we will definitely visit again.

Absolutely nothing.

What a view of the gardens and the sea from our room. Such a beautiful and peaceful location. We loved listening to the birds singing including the woodpecker. Enjoyed the use of the swimming pool just for us. Breakfast was superb, and the staff were very welcoming. electric car charging point was a bonus. Walking distance to pubs ( need a torch to walk back), and walked 8 miles circular to pendower What a gem and so impressed we stayed a second night They even called to say I had left my phone charger behind, and will post it to me

The drinks are expensive - we only had a bottle each -£6 each plus 20% vat

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Having told them about my wife being almost blind they rang a few days before to offer us a ground floor room rather than the first floor room we had booked. This did make life easier for both of us. There was no additional charge for this larger room. John the gardener and Lewis the waiter were both excellent ambassadors for the Rosevine, helpful, knowledgeable and friendly.

We found the dinner menu very limited, the same five mains every time we looked.

A fabulous location overlooking Porthcernick beach and Portscatho. The hotel is centred around the amazing view with comfortable garden furniture positioned to admire the view and dining tables looking through floor to ceiling picture windows to capture the view. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We booked for dinner and were impressed with both the presentation and quality of the meal. It’s rare to have our expectations exceeded, but this was our experience of The Rosevine Hotel - a wonderful surprise.

We received a complimentary upgrade to the family house - The Lookout. It was superb. Far too large for two people but it had every facility one would expect in a quality holiday home BUT just a hop, skip and a jump from the main hotel building. The breakfasts were the best I've had in any hotel. I tried the smoked salmon and scrambled egg, eggs benedict and the full English and all were excellent. Added to this was the excellent service and sensational sea view from the dining table. We dined on only one evening at the hotel, due to our travels around Cornwall's sights but dinner matched breakfast in quality and service. Use of the very good indoor swimming pool is pre-bookable in 45 minute slots, when you have the facility to yourselves, which is a great benefit. Would highly recommend a stay here.

It may sound trivial but soft felt pads on the dining chair legs would remove the shock to one's nervous system caused by a loud screech every time a diner pushed their chair back to leave the table.
