The welcome and customer service was very friendly both checking in and out. 5 of us had booked dinner which was lovely, the waitress was very good, happy, cheery and had everything under control as she was doing the bar duties also. The room was basic but spotless. Tea and coffee facilities. Tv, heaters and hot water all spot on. There are no breakfast facilities which we were told about when checking in but we were given recommendations for eateries close by. When we checked out we had an hour and a half to wait for our train and we were told we were very welcome to stay in the lounge and were offered tea, although we didn't take up the offer it was much appreciated. A taxi was called for us and arrived swiftly.

I'd say didn't like was a bit strong What i would say was the bathroom could maybe have done with at very least a hand wash so you could freshen up before you unpack.

Great location and very friendly owner. We were in room 8 which was the only one still to be upgraded, not that it made any difference. Beds were really comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean with lovely white towels in the bathroom. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Forres

No chairs in room. The room was quite big so definitely had enough room for at least one. Maybe when upgraded there will hopefully be somewhere to sit apart from the bed.

Chalet was the accomodation we stayed in which suited us well. Parking was right at the door of the chalet. Chalet was fairly basic but catered for our needs and was exceptionally clean. Continuous hot water at any time of the day also. Hotel location was ideal for our needs and where we wanted to go. The young guy serving behind the bar was a brilliant help and very friendly. The girl serving behind the bar on the Saturday night with the beach shirt and 'beenie' hat on was also very helpful and friendly. The food was good and the breakfast choice was very good. Prices as expected. Bar staff and locals made us most welcome as did the owner who was very chatty and helpful also. All in all we had a great time and will be returning soon. Also we were advised by the owner that all the bathrooms were in the process of upgrade so should be new for our next visit. Brilliant time.

Very spacious, friendly and great atmosphere in the bar also a pool table,, lovely building. Not far from the town centre and bus stop is quite close. I would definitely stay again

Just a few minor maintenance issues, the window sill in the bath could with been rubbed and repainted, a small hole the bath room and I struggled with the key to the room.

Perfect location. Short walk to Forres town centre and shops. The beds were excellent, firm mattress but soft to lie on, one of the best I have slept in. Fantastic food and great menu.

No breakfast as chef away during our time there. But wonderful selection of excellent breakfasts at the recommended cafe 1489 in the High Street.

I travelled alone to see my elderly aunt who lives nearby. I arrived late at night and could not get to the Carisbrooke as there were no taxis! I rang the property to see if they knew any other taxi firms as I was stranded. Without hesitation, Mandy the host picked me up and took me back. The following night there was a power cut, I was unable to get to my Aunts house as it was pitch black. I went into the Carisbrooke to keep warm by the gas fire. Again, such welcoming hosts. Had a great night in there. Room was large, kettle with coffee and tea facilities topped up each day. About ten-15 min walk to Forres town, lovely little town with cafes and shops. Local buses to get about. About 5 miles from Findhorn.

Wished I could have stayed longer!

The breakfast was nice. Regarding the above question about how we travelled there. We used our own car! Disappointed that we couldn't get Wifi. The staff tried to help but it isn't a good area.

Just said above! Lack of Wifi.

Great value for money! What you see is what you get with the rooms. Good location, Comfortable room, dog friendly (rooms, pub and restaurant all welcoming to dogs) , pub is just next door with beer garden, beautiful parks nearby, friendly staff and the pub food was amazing and vegan options were really great standard, tasty and thought put into them rather than the usual rubbish bean burger or mac n cheese!

Bar was really noisy at one point and people shouting outside our window after the pub shut, but there was an event on so wouldn't imagine it's a regular occurance and only went on for half an hour. We got to benefit from the pub being so close so can't really complain!

Liked the fact the rooms were chalets. Food was really excellent although bar was noisy with kids playing on pool table. Parents must have been deaf!! Or ignorant? Would definitely go back. Great value for money.

Nothing. 5 star!
