A converted 2-storey family home. 6 rooms, with individual, tasteful decor. Breakfast à la carte in cosy, well-appointed breakfast room. My tiny single had WC, with shower in bedroom corner (see pic). Good plumbing and electric, quiet surroundings. My fellow travellers had a comfy double with full bathroom, nice views from the windows. Good mattresses.

Though no problem by car, we misjudged the walk from the station, and dragged our bags for c.20 mins. That said, there are buses and taxis, and the area is fairly flat. We ended up walking everywhere, looking at the old homesteads and gardens.

From arrival the Milton B&B Elgin surpassed my expectations, beautifully clean and fresh and well priced ….. to include a full breakfast. The rooms are beautifully presented and nice and cosy which is a must for me as I suffer from the cold !! Parking is available to the rear of the property and should that be full there is plenty of on street parking across the road. Nicely located for getting a take away CHinese and literally 50 yards further up the road is a 24 hour Esso station with everything you would need for snacks or supplies 😂 along with a free cashline. This accomodation was so lovely and homely that I chose to stay another night ! I am not a person who usually writes reviews as I cannot be bothered, please be assured you will NOT be disappointed with this accomodation.

Absolutely nothing, could not fault the accomodation, best little B&B I have ever stayed in .

The Milton had been totally renovated since our last stay.. The only fault with our room( no 3) was the sloped ceiling outside and in the toilet /Shower room , we bumped our heads on several occasions during our stay but saw the funny side to this plus the water pressure in tbe small sink could have been better, didnt spoil our stay as lovely owners and beautiful breakfasts

Can't say there was anything we didnt like apart from what we mentioned in the previous question but not enought to put us, off returning

Quite close to train station, very easy to find. Rich breakfast, coffee and tea facilities in the room. Staff is welcoming and amiable.

The room was quite cold and noisy, being right in front of the house, facing the street. Low pressure of the water in the bathroom, both the shower and the sink. The bedsheets were not changed after the previous guests, but I found that only in the morning.

We liked where The Milton was situated. We liked that the room was tidied and cleaned every day.

, The only drawback was the slanting roofs in the room and toilet. My husband is over 6ft and found these a challenge as he didn't want to bang his head. He didnt want to complain. If we go back in the future, will ask for a room with no slanting roofs. He ended up utilising the public toilet and shower.

I did not have time to taste the breakfast as I was quite busy and used to leave early in the morning as I had quite a lot to do. The Milton B&B is well located as it is within walking distance of the many amenities and the place is quite.

The quite nice environment and the cleanliness

Our hostess was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and served up immediately. We left a couple of items behind but these were sent on to us promptly when we reported them missing. Charming and helpful hostess.

Accommodation was only a few feet away from a busy main road and the traffic noise was rather intrusive (getting woken up periodically throughout the night by heavy lorries was not particularly nice). There is parking but it is via a very narrow gap between two houses and pulling out onto the busy road was a bit nerve-wracking. The decor was a bit dated.

Breakfast excellent... host made sure I had fried mushrooms for second morning! Very obliging. Comfortable bed and modern shower.

Not really “didn’t like “, but the bathroom needed a small towel rack . For people without a car it was a good little walk into town centre ( although there is a bus stop across the road but one would have to check schedule)

the bed was really comfortable, shower was warm and shampoo/conditioner/ shower gel provided were very useful, breakfast included also hot meals, the staff was helpful and kind, structure near to the cathedral (5 mins by car)

the breakfast room was a bit too near to the kitchen, that’s why the air wasn’t so fresh. Not so many parking available.

The room had been newly decorated/refurbished and was was well laid out, clean, modern and tidy with an attractive en-suite shower room. Breakfast area was very nice and cooked breakfast was simple but good. Off-street parking was welcomed albeit a bit tight for space.

The property is located on a fairly busy street and visitor’s with young kids need to be vigilant around the main entrance.
