Aurora Hotel & Italian Restaurant

Very friendly owners and I could tell they were genuine people upon entry to the hotel. There is no lift in the hotel but the son was very helpful in taking my luggage to my room. The hotel was fairly quiet at night, I always take earplugs on holiday with me but I never had to use them once. The beach was only a couple of streets away from the hotel so that was great! The hotel room had plenty of maps and books and what to do in the area so I could peruse them at my leisure. The full English breakfasts were huge! And delicious! There was fruit juice, yoghurts, toast, everything you need for a good start! The menu for evening meals was extensive and the food delicious. The staff (which were all family) were all very attentive and added to the ambience of the room. The lounge was comfortable too and the proprietor was behind the bar chatting and bringing everyone together for evening drinks. I had a fantastic holiday and would definitely return!

Nothing I didn't like, it was all good. The hotel is not a boutique hotel, but it's very clean, and my bed was so comfy!

The owners were extremely nice and the hotel was in a superb location. The room was a decent size, clean and comfortable. The shower was lovely and warm with good pressure. The bathroom was clean with plenty of towels, stocked with soaps and shampoo. Breakfast was nice and plentiful with a range of cooked breakfast and cereals. Lovely to dine in the conservatory.

Lovely friendly hotel. Can't fault anything. Run by lovely welcoming people, too. Very comfortable big room and exquisite food and wine! Best sleep I've had for ages 😴

The only thing that annoyed me was that I hadn't found this place before. Will definitely be back, and as soon as I can. Many thanks indeed

Fantastic location, with lovely friendly staff where nothing was too much trouble. A real feeling of family and comfort.

I wouldn’t say didn’t like but the property has a well lived in feel that could be described as a little tired but it’s more than made up by the quality of food, the conviviality of the owners and how reasonably it’s priced.

Location good. We stayed in the family room-lovely large room, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was very tasty and owners polite.

Had to park on the road as no room in the hotel car park, luckily there was a space. Decor in public areas needs updating-new flooring, walls painted, furnishings etc. could be very nice as lovely old building.

Super comfy bed and exceptional value for money. The owners were very friendly and helpful. And the cooked breakfast was lush. Would definitely stay here again.

The water in the shower was a little temperamental, it kept going very hot on me. But my partner didn’t have a problem when he used it. So might have been “user error” with me lol

This is the perfect place to start or end your adventures in the Highlands. Nairn is also a lovely place to stay a while, beautiful beach,lovely walks. The family here will give you the best welcome and make you feel like you belong. Very professional and very friendly. Make sure you make time to try the restaurant..

I didn't like to leave.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was good, breakfast was good too. And the restaurant was a real bonus, great to be able to choose from an extensive menu in the evening, and the meals were excellent.

Useful to have a private car park. However it was small and difficult to access and leave.

The owners and staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. I dined in the Italian restaurant, the food was fabulous, very generous portions and reasonable prices. As a solo traveller, they ensured I was looked after and chatted as they worked. Breakfast was to the same standard, excellent scrambled eggs! Will certainly stay again. Thank you Marianne.

There was nothing to dislike.

A very pleasant stay. The staff were fantastic.We had dinner the night of our stay and this was fabulous. The breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. Top marks to our hosts . They were wonderful. We will certainly be back. Our only regret was we only booked one night. !
