Lossiemouth House

Arriving at this perfectly situated guest house we were welcomed very warmly by Alison who showed us our huge, bright room and huge ensuite bathroom. You could feel the maritime charme immediately. Alison gave us a very good tip for dinner. Lossiemouth House is a few steps away from a great beach. You can have nice walks enjoying a town that obviously is not discoverd by tourist so much and is therefore still a secret tip. After a very relaxing night Hugh cooked us a perfect breakfast. You can have the full scottish breakfast or a "light bite". Try their delicious porridge, it is an experience for all senses. Alison and Hugh are perfect hosts who are lookking for their guest's needs. They made us immediately feel being welcome and made our short stay excellent.

Beds were super comfy and the room was very clean and tidy. Bathroom was great - we loved the mirror!! - and the shower pressure was really good. Toiletries were of very good quality. Alison and Hugh were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were very tasty and cooked to perfection, and my son particularly enjoyed his 'off-menu' pancakes on our second morning 😊 We'd definitely stay here again!!

We loved our stay at Lossiemouth House, our hosts Alison &Hugh were very welcoming and friendly with great communication, We were delighted to be given a spacious bright room with a newly renovated bathroom with walk in shower and lovely toiletries.. we had a great sleep in the king-size bed.. Breakfast was lovely with good local produce and lots of choice. Such an interesting old building with lots of history and character..

Firstly the building is sensational and the grounds are lovely. The room was magic and massive and loved it all. We specifically came here to plane spot at RAF Lossiemouth. Well, we were in luck as Alison and Hugh are well into aviation. Lots of tips and advice was so good. Thank you. Breakfast was fab and we had eggs Benedict on both days. Very nice. made to feel very welcome and the location for everything was brilliant. Alison and Hugh are always happy to help.

When there was no Typhoon noise hahahaha.

We stayed at Lossiemouth House for just one night and were greeted by Alison, who is very friendly and the perfect hostess. She explained all that required explaining and showed us to our rooms which were warm, cosy and comfortable. The rooms are very well appointed and tastefully decorated. There is tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the rooms - the perfect drink to do with, on a rainy day. The beds were clean and comfortable and offered a good night's sleep. The bathroom, we were told, was recently refurbished and I must add, with a lot of thought put into a guest's requirements. Plenty of toiletries & fresh towels were available and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Hot and cold water was seamless and the controls easy to operate. In the morning, we met Hugh, our host, who has quite a few feathers under his professional chef's hat (I thought he was a professional rugby player, when we shook hands) When my teenagers learned that Hugh worked with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson they were hooked onto the stories he had to tell. The breakfast was sensational and kept us going until late afternoon. When we learned of our onward reservations being cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, Alison offered to extend our stay for another night if we wished, but due to our schedule we had to regretfully decline. Would definitely return here in the future!

Alison & Hugh are simply fantastic hosts of what is one of the best B&B’s I’ve ever stayed at. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean with lovely home made and locally sourced touches. I’m still dreaming about the full Scottish breakfast, home made apple juice with ginger and marmalades. Thank you both for a lovely stay. We’ll be back again soon.

What an amazing experience! Alison and Hugh are WONDERFUL hosts, very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are gorgeous.... everything you could want....the products supplied are so beautiful.......but the breakfast well nothing short of AMAZING, you really have to experience the shortbread biscuits and marmalade....out of this world delicious. My colleague and I are making a beeline straight back on our next visit. Thank you for such a fabulous stay ❤️

There really is NOTHING NOT to like

Very comfortable room with sofa, king sized bed, excellent shower and en-suite with views of the garden and beach. Tea making facilities and home made macaroons and shortbread. Lovely breakfasts, very good choice every morning.

Nothing!

The location is very good, near to the sea shore and a lot of restaurants and pubs. The rooms are nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious.

The living area is not open for the guests and there are no other place in the house where you can sit and relax (like in the other guest house in the region).

Clean and comfortable bedroom, felt very cosy, and at home. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely superb - spoilt for the quality and the choice available. Would recommend and will certainly be booking to come back!
