On arrival I was acknowledged and checked in promptly. The housekeeper/assistant whose name escapes me, was friendly and happy and without fuss showed me to my room and kindly organised a fan for me for the night. The room appeared to be newly decorated and was clean and fresh and the bed was comfortable too. There is a kettle in the room with tea, coffee etc. towels and a good powerful shower. All in all I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. I would use Gainsborough Hotel again.

Easy check in, the room was absolutely spotless and really comfortable.

The receiption is A little dated.

Always have a great stay at this hotel! Nice and clean, and great location also. The rooms have been refurbished and are all modern looking and well decorated, it is obvious a lot of hard work has been put in to renovating the property. The beds are lovely, spacious and comfortable and was great being able to use a smart TV with Netflix etc. The rooms are also quiet so we always have a peaceful sleep! The manager Sunil and the staff are always very polite and professional and help us with anything we needed during our visit. Great value for money and will definitely be returning! Also very handy having free parking at the rear of the hotel.

Sunil is a decent manager who ensures the comfort and resolves the issues in no time. One of bestest hotel located in the center of town. Newly built rooms are spacious, clean and hygiene bathroom with all the modern amenities. Safety covered with CCTV . Big TV and good speed wifi does the fantastic job. Quite rooms, sound sleep and Early check-ins and Late checkout is wonderful. Secure FREE parking is a plus. Heron , B&M , Tesco and Lidl , petrol pump are close by . Already thinking to re-book my stay at Gainsborough hotel.

Mr. Sunil is a quite a professional Manager and respects guests with a smile. He upgraded my room and provided a room according to my requirement. The late check in was fabulous. Big size comfy bed and washroom is quite spacious and clean. Love the Big TV that comes with Netflix. Had a peaceful sleep even on the weekend. Location is central and Free secure car park is an advantage . Thanks Sunil . I will come and visit your Gainsborough hotel soon . My best recommendation for Gainsborough Hotel. Keep it up.

Great place to stay, good value for money, the room and bathroom were both clean to a good standard and the bed was very comfy. Great that there is a tv in the room also. The lady on reception was very friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Will defiantly be staying again.

We have no negatives for our stay, I forgot to ask if there were any parking which is my own fault but later found out that there is 😊

Ideal location, positive reviews about the quality of the rooms and the amazing price. Bedrooms very clean and nicely furnished (the bed in particular) and very well finished bathrooms - genuinely excellent. Staff extremely friendly and very welcoming indeed - in fact amazing.

It’s really not fair to judge a property newly re-opened after standing empty for a long time and is now in the process of being refurbished by the owners but if I had to say: locked front door upon arrival and incense burning a little strange but neither of these a problem. Not a fan of the strange plastic sheet heaters on the walls, never seen these before. Yes they work it they don’t look great.

GAINSBOROUGH HOTEL We had a lovely short stay,very clean and hygienic,no concerns of covid as communal areas were sanitised regularly. welcoming and attentive staff whom were able to accommodate a change of room on my request for a bath. Jade & Chris the onsite management were very helpful,polite and curteous it felt like you were home from home. I would recommend a stay! This accommodation is suitable for all ages. 10 / 10 Top accommodation ! *******************

Price & location excellent. Staff most helpful & friendly. The hotel is going through some renovations at the moment, so no breakfast or bar available, but since you are in the heart of town, pubs, restaurants & takeaways are all within a couple of hundred metres. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. En suite Bathroom had recently been updated and was more than adequate. If travelling by car, let the hotel know, as access to the secure car park is actually around the corner from the hotel and they will have to let you in (this is also being updated in the future ). Would definitely stay there again

Nothing really to dislike to be honest. Cheap and friendly hotel. We stayed at the Travelodge around the corner 2 years ago and really for the price this place is the one we would go back to if on a budget

The Hotel has a Great Location and Parking is Safe and Secure and Free of Charge.The Hotel offers Great Value for Money and the Bedrooms are Clean and well Presented.The Showers are Great and I always get a Good Night's Sleep.The only Problem with the Bedrooms is sometimes gaining Access to them.

The Hotel itself resembles a rather Shabby Building Site.Although she does her Best the Hotel seems to be Run by One Lady.Their is never anybody on the Reception if you have a Problem and I never know who to Ring to gain Access to the Hotel.
