good price. good location as we were going to a wedding at the pheasantry brewery and were able to use the footpath behind the pub to walk back to collect our car the following morning. the staff were very accommodating of our need to check in early and all of them were friendly and keen to ensure we had a good stay.
there was a smell of fried food in the communal areas but it was not a problem in the room.

Staff were brilliant, friendly and welcoming. Nice country pub unfortunately food not available but discount offered at delicious sister venue.
Rooms were great value, bedding and towels clean. Room would have benefited from more attention to dusting, few minutes around skirtings and behind doors would have been appreciated.

It was in a pub, so I didn't have to go out to eat. The room was small, but comfortable.
We'll, it was in a pub on Friday night---karaoke night!---so it was a bit loud until 11 or so. But you have to expect that on Friday night in a pub, right? One other (minor) issue: the shower head wouldn't stay in place, so it was awkward trying to shower.

We were not told before that the chef was going to be away other wise we would have prior arranged food. Also the radiator in room 3 would not go off and it was a very warm weekend.

Busy train line next to his hotel. However, there were no trains during the night. Bathroom plumbing needs to be upgraded, but the bathroom, in general, was great size

I thought it was simple,it was perfect for a weekend away. The bar below provided amazing evening meals. The staff and regulars were friendly and inviting. The room was not large but more than adequate.

It was in a good location as a stop over on my journey south. The room was a good size and fine for my needs. Clean and comfortable. Not the most luxurious place I've stayed, but perfect for my needs on this occasion, good value for money, and I would stay there again.
