The Angel View Hotel

The location and view was amazing, friendly staff although I can tell some had a long day as they looked tired but still showed great customer service regardless. Room was decently sized and was overall clean. Restaurant was lovely! The room looked like it had recently been decorated and it was very pleasant. The bathroom looked a bit outdated however, I think that fits well with the building.

The mattress was too soft for me and my partner but that didn’t stop us from sleeping okay. The bathroom ceiling has paint peeling off. The smell of the overall room was musty but can be sorted by an air freshener. There are a lot of potholes on the road/car park but nothing that could break a car wheel etc

Staff and location were great. Very soft comfortable bed, great shower, tea biscuits, extra pillows in the cupboard.

The room (10) was above the kitchen and smelt like a dirty old burger van, literally grease... no sockets next to the bed for mobile charger closest was at the other side of the room no good if you need to charge and use your phone at the same time. also the two lamps either side of the bed were useless as you had to pull the double bed away from the wall to switch them on... Also no hair dryer and a dated TV, also you could here the staff walking past your room in the early hours getting ready to start the day, and the kitchen chefs below you.

As a base for the Great North this smart hotel near to the Angel of the North was ideal. Pleasent staff all round. Clean and has a couple of functions going on but didn't disturb us. We stayed Saturday and Sunday. We ate good quality food and a special menu on for the runners and a free breakfast at 6am provided by the manager, Usually 8am breakfast time so went the extra mile. Rooms are compact but very nice. Will be rebooking.

My wife is a vegetarian and little to choose on the menu,, Carvery on Sunday, there was no Veggie main but they made her some Veggy gravy and she enjoyed her vegatable dinner,.

Food , freshly cooked.plenty if choice hot or cold.staff friendly and always 😊. Even my Brother funeral breakfast was amazing.Cannot praise it highly enough. My stay was 100percent excellent.weell done Angel View Hotel.

The weather.unfortunately that's beyond all our control. There was nothing not to like.For me my visit was for a sad occasion, made a little easierby pleasant surroundings,a warm welcome by friendly staff and hotel.

The room was a brilliant size and had everything we needed. It had a beautiful view of the Angel of the North from our window and fields surrounding us. It was a quick bus ride into the high street and into Newcastle city centre too. The staff were amazing and really friendly. Newcastle is a beautiful city and everyone was really friendly. Will definitely be returning!

Our door stuck and was a bit hard to lock, but we did manage to in the end. I forgot to mention this when checking out.

From the minute we walked in, the staff were excellent, really friendly, and happy, and this continued throughout the visit. Staff were chatty and made you feel welcome. Nothing was an effort. Or too much trouble. Everybody is happy to help and answer questions. The food was delicious and plenty off it. The room was comfortable, facilities were excellent and very clean. My whole visit was pleasurable, and we will definitely look forward to staying with you again.

The food, was absolutely outstanding! We travel each weekend and we aint had food, this good in months!!! Fair selection of drinks, few cocktails available. Staff very accommodating and helpful. Location is absolutely beautiful. We would stay here again, IF WE WERE GUARANTEED the luxury room we pay for!

Booked a luxury room... got quite the opposite. Staff unhelpful re this situation . Booked a Luxury room, booking.com double booked so we ended up in the most bizzare of rooms far from what we actually paid for. The room had cobwebs all around the celin, the bed was comfortable but a small double, im very tall and my mans 18 stone.. we didnt fit with space hench paying for the bigger bed! Bathroom was clean. The room was not what we paid for so... it all ready was not upto our expectations.

All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. Brilliant location for the Angel. Easy parking.

Although very comfortable, and value for money, the room was very run down. The bathroom fan was hanging out of the wall and most surfaces/fixtures had minor damage and looked tired. The room did not have an internal deadlock or chain, which could be more important for solo guests.

Location opposite the Angel of the North was great. I travel a lot and this would be a good stop off if travelling further a field such as going to Newcastle Airport as it is adjacent to the A1 (note very little traffic noise). Premises full of character (I think it was a farm or barn conversion) and bar area cosy. Prices very reasonable for a hotel. Nice common and golf course next door to stretch your legs after a long journey. Double room was worth paying the extra couple of pounds was comfortable and big. Spotless. I would certainly stay again if I was in the area. Also for any motorhomers out there they have a couple of EHU in the car park and you can park up. Costs £10 during the week and £20 at weekends. They used to do a food voucher but that has stopped now.

While I stayed the food was pub bar prices which was good when you are on a tight budget but I found it very average maybe a couple of off nights for the chef. The portions were good but the chicken on the first night although a whole fillet was dry and crusty on the edges made me think it had been zapped in the microwave. Not bad enough for me to complain though. The next bit of feedback is just for info. Unfortunately there is nothing else in the area unless you drive into town or to Wrekington a couple of miles up the hill. The nearest shop was a Londis about 20 minutes walk away in a garage to buy supplies water etc.

the whole place is very good, the food is amazing and we were served very quickly, I like the style of the whole place.

the mattress felt abit lumpy lying on it, the shower heads are abit strange, can't get them to stay up both times I've stayed there, also not a fan of the breakfast being 7 till 9 I think it should be 7 till 10 and also the check out is alittle early should be 11.30 not 10.30
