Astral Lodge

Lovely hotel which is very reasonable. The room is decorated stylishly. Nice seaview to wake up to. Lovely clean ensuite. Selection of teas and coffees. The room was cold but I was provided with a brand new blanket and once in bed I was lovely and warm. The host is very accomodating and this was my second stay. Parking available close by which you have to pay for. But I bought a ticket for 24hrs at £8.40.

Nothing I didn't like. I understand with the current rules rising of utilities that there it may not be possible to have the heating on too soon. There is no breakfast but there are lots of nice places to eat just around the corner or in the town. This suits me well and I definitely will return again.

This was a wonderful place to stay at, despite the lack of an elevator on the first night (if you've got a lot of luggage, be prepared to haul it some 100 steps or so up a couple of flights of stairs), but the view from the room, combined with the feel of the place and the styling of the room made it all worth it. I came here to write, and spend time by the sea and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The bed was perhaps not the comfiest I've ever slept in, but it didn't really matter when the sound of waves crashing upon the pebbled beach on the other side of the street was lulling me to sleep. The place doesn't serve breakfast, but you're around the corner from some pretty nice cafés, so it doesn't really matter.

The room was a great size for 3 people but as it was very hot this weekend there wasn't any air-conditioning but the staff very kindly gave us their fan from the office which was a life saver!

It was very noisy outside which of course the Astral lodge couldn't help but its just a flag for fellow visitors as there was a festival happening on the pier on the Saturday night (The music wasn't bad) but there was an underground bar nearby that had a terrible bass to their music and as we had the balcony doors open all night because of the heat that made it a bit difficult to sleep.

The hotel was very clean. The room was immaculate. We were on our honeymoon. The staff were friendly and offered to help us with anything we wanted. They cleaned our room even though we didn't ask. They went above and beyond. The hotel is located right across the road from the sea and the view is stunning. There's no car park but the 24 hour car park is outside underneath the road. I recommend this hotel. The shops and restaurants are behind the hotel and it's only a 10 minute walk to town centre. The room has a TV which also plays the radio so we never watched anything. It's nice to sleep with the curtains open so you can see the stars and sea. We're coming back in summer.

Location was excellent facing the seafront. About 15 minutes walk from the train station. Close to the shopping streets. Staff were very efficient and helpful. The room I was given was not large but had everything I needed. The shower failed one morning and a repair was carried out quickly.

Being on the seafront the room was very noisy at night. There was no double glazing and the window was in a poor state of repair and could not be closed. Double glazing would be a big improvement for what is a nice friendly affordable place in Hastings

The Astral Lodge was perfect for my trip, as I travelled by train and attended an event in the old town and the castle, with some evening activities in the White Rock Theatre. all these places were about 5-10 minutes walk away, so the location was perfect for me. The room was basic, but it had everything I needed AND at the same time the bonus of a sea view ... a proper sea view, not just a brief glimpse of the sea between buildings. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I arrived early and needed to leave my case in my friend's room, and someone especially stayed to let me in and help us with these arrangements. They didnt have to accommodate it, but the fact that they did made me feel so welcome and cared for. THANK YOU

Excellent location in front of the beach, room are clean and big. accessible to public transportation and shops.

No lift. You need more energy to climb up the stairs with your luggage and small kids if you have them with you if your room is on the 4th floor. And also no electric fan in the room so we end up keeping the window open for the whole night, no choice but to ignore the noise coming outside by car and drunk people shouting at night. Although the staff are helpful the receptions are only available for a certain period of time.

I loved everything about this hotel Genia goes over and above to make you feel welcome .I came with a little dog and we had a wonderful time . My room had a fantastic balcony and sea views From the bed you could see the sea and hear the waves . The rooms spotless tea / coffee a r really handy fridge that was a god send I have already recommended the astral lodge to friends and family . A huge thanks to Genia and her team They’re doing a fantastic job Myself and my little dog will certainly return .

Nothing I liked everything

We got here after a terrible rainfall during our bike trip of Sussex coast. The staff was very friendly and helpful and helped us dry our rain soaked clothes at the facilities' dryer. The room was spacy enough, had a terrace to the inner courtyard and actually had a cool mezzanine where the big bed was. The room was definitely big enough for a family of 4. The place is located literally at the beach so we had a walk in the afternoon and later enjoyed watching a movie at the room. We had our own breakfast in the room as no breakfast is offered. But it was fine. Once again thanks to the friendly receptionist!

Everything was ok. The place met our expectations.

We liked the location a lot. We also liked the room as it was big enough for our family, was very clean and we had our own little patio. The host was accomodating. We had a mini fridge in the room and that was great as we were able to have milk for breakfast etc. We enjoyed our stay a lot. We would definitely book this hotel again.

The bed was not the most comfortable, was quite hard for my back. I was not able to get a hair dryer for myself and my girls, which was not great as the weather was quite cold. Our toilet was very small, but at the end of the day it was not much trouble.
