Holiday Inn - Leicester - Wigston, an IHG Hotel

Excellent breakfast choice. The food was cooked well and was tasty. The room was really clean and modern and very spacious. The tv was big which was nice and had lots of channels. The shower was great, I loved the two shower heads you could chose from and the control was easy.

The mattress was a bit hard for me. I was uncomfortable by the morning but my mattress at home is soft so it’s just preference. The walls are thin, I had to bang on the wall to get a women to stop shouting/talking loudly at 10pm but she got the message and probably didn’t realise I could hear her. It was not a problem really.

Our twin room was clean and bright and on the ground floor. The bathroom was modern and bright and the shower was excellent. The breakfast was excellent too with a very good variety. Lot’s of cereal, fruit,smoked salmon, cold meat, cheeses etc etc.pain au chocs, croissants. Along with many fresh hot food. I particularly liked the fact that there was a selection of non dairy milks, soya, oat and one other. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in a British hotel. The reception staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and with lots of space.

The Hotel was Central for all Leicester had to offer,Staff at Hotel were friendly/courteous made most welcome. Room was spacious had everything detailed on Hotel description, Shower was Amazeballs definitely visit again Breakfast was well prepared all item's grilled all allergies were catered for plus Gluten free had separate area Restaurant was also Pet friendly and separate from area.

Sorry i had to report a couple discrepancies in Room 107 window was cracked,window latch was broken,bed was too close to window tight squeeze unless you climbed on bed from bottom otherwise room was excellent.

Very clean throughout the hotel and room I stayed in. The iron and hair dryer in the room were very useful. Comfortable bed with comfortable pillows. Air conditioner was nice whilst the weather was humid. Staff were very polite and helpful. Having Bella Italia connected to the hotel was particularly good for evening meal and there was SO MUCH breakfast choice - including gluten free options!

Trays of food outside the rooms on the floor made for slightly difficult navigating with luggage when leaving to check out.

Staff was very helpful especially Kaden on reception helped me a lot with luggage and tried his best to find the best deal for me when I wanted to extend my stay. Breakfast is kind of regular as in all holiday inn hotels but the staff at Wigston is more polite than other holiday inn hotels where I have stayed Rooms are spacious and beautiful - no complaints. Loved the location of hotel.

My room were not cleaned by room service throughout my stay. Coffee and tea trolley was also not cleaned/ refilled.

The friendliness, helpful,not having to rush of ,superb breakfast, excellent receptionist,excellent morning catering staff ,would def recommend to all my family and friends fantastic experience thankyou .Pets allowed,excellent pillows and duvet.would definitely return.

The rooms for pets is quite far from reception,when your pet needs to go out first thing quite a walk to reception many pets might not be able to hold as ours did as hes young,but especially if the pet is an older one nearer to reception may be a thought.

The room was spacious and clean, with tea, coffee and water provided and a small fridge. The breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice from continental to full English. The staff on Reception were friendly and obliging and the staff serving in the hotel's Bella Italia restaurant were fantastic.

There was a mix up over breakfast on our second day when we were told that we didn't have breakfast included in our stay (when in fact we did), but the problem was ironed out quickly.

Location was great for us to visit where we used to live. We were able to move Rooms to 1st floor after I'd asked for Ground floor on arrival. It was very noisy in 147. Luckily it was early & the Lovely Staff in Reception sorted us out. We were moved to 223. Highly recommended as it just 2 Rooms on the corner of the Building with a separate fire door.

We've stayed before & you can take your Dog, but it was impossible to book online and through reception weeks before our stay so we had to organise for our Border to be cared for by my son. Room 147 is not clean.

Hotel was exactly as described and photographed, which can be quite rare. Staff were polite, friendly and went out of their way to ensure I was made to feel welcome. The Room was well decorated and fresh, with modern touches. The ability to control the room temperature exactly was great. Although not mentioned, a walk in shower rather than a shower over the bath, which is great as I don't like those anyway. I'd definitely stay again and will be in the future.

The air-conditioner could be quite loud on occasion and would randomily bang, which could be a bit unnerving.
