Novotel Leicester

This was our second trip to Leicester and our first time at this beautiful hotel which the kids and I loved . The staffs from cleaners , restaurant fro breakfast time to front dest concierge was amazing. But with the exception of one staff at the front desk when we first arrived, who was not welcoming, very cold and didn’t not even give us any information about the hotel on breakfast time . My sister and I had to asked her colleagues who was so warm and friendly and who always greeted us every day she sees us . She even went beyond by help me to bring toilet paper during her night shift .. otherwise everyone was amazing. Will highly recommend and will definitely come back again . The kids gad fun visiting the area , museum , restaurants and shops which were literally across the road from the hotel. The hotel is in a perfect location 3-5 mins walking to anything you need . Museum was 30 Minutes by bus and east to find .

I loved everything but would have loved to have a bath robe and slippers .

Breakfast was delicious and enjoyed by the whole family. The location of the hotel was perfect for us and in walking distance from the activities that we had planned. Hotel rooms are a bit small, however, well presented, clean and very comfortable beds. Despite staying at the hotel on busy and hot Saturday night (close to bars and restaurants) we were not disturbed by the noise at all.

The only let down was that the agreed arrangements for the room were not ready on arrival ( it was a surprise trip ) however, they were soon rectified by the hotel staff who also offered complimentary drinks.

Facilities, the location, cleanliness ( Have already listed my why above).

The receptionists and his manager needs training in conflict management. You cannot blame the guests for your internal communication issues. Our rooms were paid but we couldn't check in without confirmation of payment. Apparently, the receptionists and the manager didn't recieve that (confirmation), email from the Hotel Finance Office before closing time! And the solution by the receptionist supported by the manager (despite Booking.com calling them to confirm we paid), was to take another payment, then wait for that confirmation from the Finance Office the next day. We didn't like that part at all! As stated above, this hotel is good but the receptionist and the manager are rude and poor at customer service!

Lovely friendly staff ..great breakfast with a huge choice of foods. A very comfy bed. An above average room size. A huge thank you to staff member Olivia who was so helpful as were all of the staff. Lovely toiletries in the rooms too. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. I will be back.

The room was very clean but slightly marked carpet near the TV. Still that's not really a big criticism as I can't really think of anything major to dislike or fault.Given the amount of customers using hotels you expect carpets to get worn over time.

Staff really friendly and room lovely and bright and quiet.

There are no mirrors in the bedroom. No full length and none where you can do your hair and make up. This room was definitely designed by a man! They could do with investing in this as I have been with 10 girls here and we all said the same.

The hotel was beautifully clean and quite. Loved the decor and the room was immaculate! Staff were polite and helpful from Amit who checked us in to the cleaners who found the iPad I left behind and contacted me to ensure a safe return.

The only minor point here is that the parking could have been more convenient. Its a few mins walk which could be a problem for guests with mobility issues or with heavy luggage. An additional point to remember is to pay for the parking when you check in. It’s £10 overnight with the hotel but £20 if you pay using Ringo.

Upon my late arrival, I was pleasantly surprised by the warm and friendly receptionist who swiftly assigned us a quiet room. Furthermore, both the receptionist and room service were exceptionally responsive, providing us with extra pillows promptly. This attentive service greatly enhanced our stay.

My only suggestion would be for them to provide slippers in the rooms. Additionally, there was a minor issue with water leaking from the shower floor, but aside from that, we had a very pleasant stay.

An excellent hotel, very centrally located. The staff are friendly and professional (a special nod to Shelly in the restaurant who was really nice and helpful and the guys on reception who tolerated our four year old using the reception area as a playground on new years eve -she says thanks for all the chocolates...). The breakfast was amazing with a fantastic selection. We visit Leicester a lot for family reasons, and now we would never consider staying in any other hotel. Very highly recommended!

Nothing!

Really neat, clean and quiet hotel. The breakfast was delicious, even more so after a brilliant nights sleep on the comfy bed! The location was brilliant for the shopping centres, which are super easy to get too. You have a nice selection of restaurants nearby as well.

We booked two single beds, but when we arrived we unfortunately were told that they didn’t have any of these rooms left. We were told that they tried to phone but it “seemed” as though my contact number was invalid, but checking the booking we made the number was correct so not too sure what happened there. Myself and my Mum booked the trip months ago, so we were a bit disappointed that we weren’t given a choice of what to do. Fortunately there are much bigger problems in the world, and we shared a bed for the night, even more fortunate the bed was plenty big enough!

staff friendly and great choice at breakfast

car park location, the postcode on the website does did not correspond with the location. on arrival after several trips around the hotel as could not find the hotel. I had to park in a side street and run to the hotel to confirm location. The lady was friendly and told me the street name of the car park after which I was able to find the car park and I think this should be added to the website as it caused unnecessary stress after a long drive.
