Pre Check in and Disabled parking ease. Room facilities excellent, maybe include some instant coffee as pods quality and strength not always required Location convenience, having been before access via service road easier, not the signposted entrance route

Mattress great for absorbtion of your body but moulded to other users a bit so maybe replump between guests as turning within a gulley strange. Cooked breakfast is well prepared and very tasty, maybe cereal area needs consideration, add yogurt, fruit and more cereal choice, a bit sparce Brush chairs after evening use. Crumbs noted and some looked tired and grubby with hand marks

The original house has been very nicely done up as a hotel, with the greenery of the park all around. The staff were very pleasant and cheerful, with one coming out to meet us and open the door when we arrived. They made an effort to accommodate us when we checked-in early. They also gave recommendations on where to go and what to do. They carried bags up the stairs, which makes a difference when if there's no lift! The restaurant was excellent, with a good vibe.

They only make-up the rooms if one remembers to request it through hanging the right message on the doorknob, which was indeed explained to us but it's easy to forget and end up with too many towels but no mint chocolate and having to make our own bed :-) It's not walkable to town, but getting taxis was easy.

On arrival, we were offered a complementary upgrade to our room (junior suite), which was beautifully decorated. The man who checked us in was the perfect host and very helpful (I didnt catch his name). The dinner we pre-booked was lovely, well cooked and well presented and the young waiter we had was so very polite and attentive (i didnt catch his name either but he was very young with excellent manners). The breakfast was also very nice and the service was attentive.

The bar area is very small for the amount of guests the hotel can accommodate. There wasn't much in terms of seating. The outside seating area is nice but not so good in cold weather - and smokers were under the canopy so we didn't sit under there. We did wait for 55 minutes for our starters to be brought to us - there was a party of 17 behind us who ordered before us so i assume there was a delay due to the party size.

I love Winstanley House, it's my favourite place to be in Leicester. When ever I'm there it's like being in a different world. Greeting at reception was lovely and very friendly! Pre-Christmas eve dinner, it was fabulous along with great service absolutely delicious! 🍾😋

The room that we had, the bed was really low, the bathroom was good but whilst showering there was also a lot of water leaking even though there was a shower screen. The noise from the extraction fan in the bathroom really annoying. Not the best room I've stayed in, the room that we normally stay in, over looks the terrace and the gardens.

The hotel was lovely and clean. It was pretty and has some quirky areas. We'd booked a cosy room and expected it to be small but it was fine and had plenty of space. With a separate shower room and WC. Some nice touches like the tea/coffee facilities. Little chocolates left out. Plus a smart TV that you could connect to. Iron, ironing board and hairdryer. Great that it has parking facilities

The bed was very uncomfortable. Every slight movement woke us up

Everything. I treated myself after travelling down for minor eye surgery. My stay with you and the surgery were a great success!

The quality of the work of your painter and decorators particularly the finish round the skirting boards in the toilet of 126 is pretty poor and sloppy. The wall paper in the dining room has been badly hung by the chimney breast in the breakfast room turning L on entrance. It’s such a beautiful and well maintained old building these little things stand out.

Very warm and welcoming greet at Reception (Nico) . This set the evening off to a great start after an exhausting day in 40 degrees!!! Very charming room. Bright , with touch of “period” features and modern touch to compliment the style of the building. Very good evening meal. Recommend the Winstanley home cocktails Wonderful grounds, but due to the excessive heatwave we were unable to take advantage of it. Ample parking because it’s a wedding venue.

Coffee station in the room needed dusting down-should be part of the room clean. Dessert after evening meal did not live up to expectation (3 out of our family of 4) we’re not convinced by our puddings. Breakfast reasonable but perhaps alittle more and on a normal size plate would have been ideal and value for money. They forgot to serve our hash browns and eventually arrived as we were finishing breakfast. That said, the hotel is very good and we will return to take advantage of their hospitality

I told my partner I booked a hotel in Braunstone and she went nuts as it was her birthday and Braunstone isn't exactly know for romantic retreats or just general niceties, she was very much silenced and humbled after visiting this gem which she as a leicester native had no clue existed, a wonderful stay and the food was glorious.

She kept demanding we take selfish, that's not on the hotel, the hotel was great as we're the staff, I just don't like taking selfish.

The room was beautifully laid out and clean. Niko handled our booking superbly and answered my questions by telephone. Dinner was excellent and there was a good choice at breakfast. All staff members were friendly.

I didn't like a 10% service charge being added to our dinner bill without being asked! Also, exiting the car park was a bit strange as the arrows pointed us to an electronic gate that didn't open, so we had to backtrack and exit via the entrance.

it really is a beautiful place!! the man who greeted us Niko was so helpful and welcoming. he upgraded our room which was so lovely. we were very chuffed with that.

it wasn’t that we didn’t like anything about the property it’s just a few things that just need fixing. wear and tear…. it’s a shame that the council don’t really keep the park maintained around the hotel. as clearly Winstanley house have created something beautiful.
