The receptionist was welcoming; ensured we had all our needs. The hotel was near to cafes, supermarket & walks (canal, parks etc).

The room's window frames were rotting & there was a slight step into the ensuite which we kept tripping up on; felt it needed a bit of renovation. Car park accessed (in & out) along a single, narrow passage but plenty of spaces. Enjoyed our stay.

Travelling in the UK at the moment, by car, is a pretty dicey endeavour. Road works, overrunning calls with the day's clients and just fate mean that it's never quite as planned. I informed The Hunt Lodge that I would be arriving at the upper end of their 'reception' window, but due to all of the above I was almost 50 minutes late. Regardless, when I finally found the entrance (it's just a bit obscure) Kush came out and made me feel not only welcome but valued as a guest. Definitely a 5 star greeting which set the tone for the entire experience.

Finding the entrance to the parking lot, which is very spacious BTW, takes either insider knowledge or vast local knowledge. While the property is well sign-posted, if there was a way to indicate the turn into the lane to the parking, it would make arrival much less confusing.

The staff were really friendly, they knew we had attended a gig and asked us how it went which was really nice. It was also great that unlike other places they didn't put up prices because of said gig. The location is ideal for things in the area such as MK Dons stadium and Wonurn Safari park. There's a nice field behind, which a park which is ideal for children guests. There's a free carpark too.

The hotel is a little dated looking and could use a bit of sprucing up.

The Hunt Lodge is a budget no frills hotel that gets one a moderate size double room with a bathroom, TV and coffee made, clean and comfy bed, clean towels and clean room with free wifi. Situated in a very quiet part of town with free private parking opposite a park. Staff member who greeted me was very pleasant and helpful. Note that this hotel does not have a restaurant but you get a 10% discount at the Ship Inn just a 5 minutes walk away ( recommended the food is excellent )

Ok This might sound a little negative but here goes !!! The room could do with a long overdue makeover to bring it up to what most modern day travellers expect not only in the decor department but there was no fan, no hair dryer, no ironing board or adequate wardrobe areas in which to hang clothes. Now I might be comparing this Hotel to a 4 star establishment so please consider what you paying !!! I would have NO HESITATION in staying at this hotel again

The location.

The hotel had a sign on the front of it with parking at the rear which was a bit to late.The trouble was it was a one way system so had go all the way round to get to it. ( When I left yesterday I mentioned this to the owner about this problem. She is asking the council if she can put up a sign.)

Really friendly reception from the owner & her daughter. very helpful for fing a nearby eating pub with a discount 10%

Sihn to car park, should be at the start of the acces lane, rather than go up the one way street & see the sign "car park at rear of hotel"

Good staff and great recommendation for an evening meal. Great location to town centre.

Poor water pressure in shower but there is a notice about the old plumbing. Awkward to find car park on arrival but easy when you have found it the first time.

Lose to the train and town centre, and clean and comfortable

Very comfy bed! Warm, quiet Large free parking Big bath Room cleaned every day I've felt very comfortable, room was so cosy but good sized!
