Peartree Lodge Waterside

I had a very pleasant stay here for the price. I will definitely be back if I'm in the area. The hotel is probably getting a bit long in the tooth but its evident they have made an effort to look after it. My room was quiet and comfortable and in fairly good condition with a view over the canal marina. The pub/restaurant next door which is a separate business actually serves excellent food. I ate in there all 3 nights and had breakfast in there and was very satisfied. The parking is free - you just have to enter your registration in the tablet on the reception desk.

It was a good location for me in terms of where I needed to get to. The room was a decent size and the fact that it had a small fridge-freezer and microwave was really helpful as i am diabetic and almost no food that can be bought in a restaurant or on the go is properly suitable - I prefer to control my own diet. i also need to exercise and found a nice walk over the canal and Woughton Green just by the hotel. The staff were mostly friendly and helpful.

I was interested in staying an extra night as i had extra work to do, but the hotel was fully booked, so I had to move all my things for the last day.

I stayed here for approx 3 weeks and I loved it!! The property itself is a fantastic, spacious building, with solid walls (so there’s no noise at all) and stylish, elegant carpets and paintings plus great light. And everything is spotless!! — The bedrooms are all stunning too - perfect size, have all amenities such as desk space, mini fridge, kettle, TV, iron; plus super comfy bed and pillows, and a massive bathroom with full bath!! Also, the property is next to the canal with stunning views and greenery. Further, it’s just a short drive from Central MK, and walking distance to shops, hospital and cycling trails. I also need to mention that ALL staff was super helpful, kind, really efficient and Avila me 24/7. Once again, I LOVED my stayed at Peartree Lodge Waterside and would always recommend it without a doubt!

I have stayed at this hotel a few times before, but this time I opted for a twin room, I was alone but the room I think Is a little bigger than some doubles and described on the hotel site as bigger too. I really liked this room and even though it was on the car park side of the hotel, it was deadly quiet at night I found, so sleep was never disturbed. The room was clean and had that hotel smell. Coffee is supplied In sachets and tea bags. they have the little milk sachet container too. But there Is a fridge so I bought my own milk with me as was staying two nights. Towels are supplied and there Is soap dispensers and shampoo. I had a very good size shower too. There was a heated towel rail which you could switch on In the bathroom and a radiator In the bedroom, so it was reasonably warm In the room and corridors. There Is a microwave with 2 plates and cutlery too, In the room. I went next door for breakfast, it is a separate business, so there Is an app you can go onto. I had breakfast and an afternoon meal, both were really nice. I really like this hotel, because it Is quiet and out of the way really, near a marina and one side of the hotel looks over the marina. There Is free parking for guests, so that Is a plus too. There Is always someone at reception, so this Is reassuring to have this. I will stay again when visiting Milton Keynes as it Is ideal for me.

Always an excellent stay we are regulars as we just love it here Location is great , breakfast, pizza and carvery adjoining with a cheap bar too! Comfortable beds and bath. Lovely canal view , rural and peaceful, very clean rooms, attentive staff. Fridge and microwave in rooms a bonus!

Nothing to dislike but just a few recommendations TVs could do with upgrading to smart TVs to allow for Netflix etc More lights in the evening around the waterside as this is a stunning feature and wonderful to sit out in the evening Maybe a couples package , I.e. breakfast in bed, picnic hamper for the waterside.

I was pleased that having requested 'if possible' a marina view this time, (stayed a couple of weeks ago and had view of the bins) that it was granted, so much so as I walked into the room I said "yay!" ha ha. It was lovely to have the view over the water and boats and surrounding scenery, unexpected and lovely to have in central MK. The room was quiet, and there's always a good selection of drinks including hot chocolate. The midday check out is a real bonus to have, and the room cost was very reasonable. Easy to find and park.

Not a dislike as such but had drink carton which would have been easier to open with scissors, but used knife of the cutlery provided instead. Also a net curtain or blind at the window would have been good as otherwise felt very on view to the boaters! However when dressed that was fine, and I enjoyed the view.

Location

Checked room had been cleaned properly as had to complain about cobwebs in 3 corners that were definitely not just made between someone leaving and us checking in plus thick dust on headboard dust bathroom skirting boards again definitely not fresh dust took pics and videos as when complained about this receptionist was very disbelieving in tone but 10 mins later came to room and agreed was not fresh dust as way of apology we were offered 2 in room breakfasts (which personally look like u would give to children but still appreciated).

The accommodation was comfortable and clean with plenty of tea/coffee etc. Nice location by the canal with plenty of nice walks. Easy driving distance to town and Bletchley Pak which was the reason for our visit

Not impressed with the adjoining restaurant. Staff were very friendly but lacked in professional representation of the venue. The food was adequate but basic and as I have coeliac disease food choice was limited. The carvery wasn't very varied and vegetables were dry from over exposure to the heat lamps on the counter. The staff behind the counter, when they were there, were very lax to the point of dismissive and even ignored us on one occasion. Wouldn't recommend

There is free parking for hotel guests, iron, kettle, microwave, fridge, cutlery and plates in the room, hence just the facilities we required. The location was nice too: quite peaceful overlooking the marina. I wouldn't say it was quiet though, as we found out that ducks and geese are nocturnal and like to have karaoke at night 😆 It might have been quieter to have a room overlooking the car park at the front. But we specifically requested a room overlooking the water and the hotel provided, so no fault of theirs. We didn't have any issues with smell of smoke or noise from other guests.

The hotel could do with some modernization. Milton Keynes buildings seem mostly very modern and this was not it 😅. Only 1 towel provided for a 2 person room (I think we could have asked for extra though).

Staff were helpful and friendly. Handy having eating place attached but would have been nice to have alternatives in walking distance. Loved being right on the canal, lovely views and relaxing

There was nothing I didn't like, but it was just as hoped for, not exceptional. Could have done with more sockets on both sides of the bed. We had to trail an extension lead over the headboard to reach a socket for someone who slept on the other side of the bed but needed an overnight connection . Lights seemed to be all on one switch. Couldn't have one bedside light to read by which would have been helpful. Or if we could, we didn't find the switch
