Highwayman Hotel

I liked all the staff it was tom who served me in the bar most of the time. He was really good pleasant and very nice friendly person. He made me feel relaxed as did the other staff. Each time I have stayed it has been for family illness. First time I went my father in law was in hospital. Second time I went he passed away. Then it was for the funeral. This time my brother in law was in hospital really poorly. He has thankfully got through it all and went home yesterday. I found I could talk to tom. I will be going back to stay at the highwayman in July. I am on my own when I stay and I feel so comfortable walking into the bar on my own as the staff are all so friendly. Even when the pub is really full the staff stay professional.

There was nothing I didn't like

Well planned room, very comfortable bed, spotlessly clean. Also friendly and helpful staff in the adjoining bar/restaurant

Unfriendly checkin. After a long traffic holdup I was running very late and needed to check in quickly and get out again to a meeting. I explained this over an intercom (No one at reception) and was told I would have to wait as a "handover" was in progress. After several minutes I rang the intercom again and was told somewhat aggressively I would just have to wait. Pity really, as otherwise the hotel was excellent value and ideally situated and I would be happy to use again.

Although it took a few minutes to be able to get into our room the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and fresh. The bathroom was very good. Liked the fact that you could have a bath/shower. Beds were warm and comfy There was plenty of close parking which made it easy to unload. My daughter left the back window of our car down overnight... thankfully there were no opportunists.. so felt safe.

Obviously there are fire doors on the entrance/exit. Unfortunately they made very noisy bangs when people were entering/exiting during the night.. thankfully the beds were very comfortable and we got back to sleep quickly.

Great location if you going into centre Even better if you’re going to penthouse playrooms 😉 Greatt hotel we was surprised Howe big it actually was. Comfortable bed Rooms are very modern and well designed and maintain Staff was very friendly and helpful Parking is free 🆓 For the price of £70 it’s a bargain

……….. if I had to really really pick a fault which is really really hard I had to say I would of liked a bigger iron to iron my shirt with. That’s the only thing I could really think of. Proper nick picking

The rooms were clean and comfortable, car park was well lit for security and the Hungry Horse restaurant was attached. Leanne was really helpful arranging our room choices and location before arrival (Thank you) rest of the team (George, Tom, Cerys & Raife) made our stay a memorable one. Thank you guys very much, will pop by again when in the area.

Due to staffing issues our cooked breakfast was not available, we did get a refund and given complementary continental instead, which was plenty enough for us.

I stayed overnight at the Highwayman as I had a very early flight the next morning. This is a very convenient location for Luton Airport as it is just 8 miles away, a 15 minute drive. The room is well equipped and is next door to the pub. As the rooms are in a separate building to the pub and the windows are double glazed there was no noise problem.

When I arrived in the mid-afternoon there was nobody at the reception desk. I had to call several times and waited 10 minutes before anybody came.

The staff were so friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless clean. The food in the bar and restaurant was great good choices and having breakfast included in our stay was perfect. I couldn’t have been more happy with my stay and would certainly recommend staying here especially if you want to see London as bus services along with train and underground tubes are very frequent and very easy to find and use

There was nothing that I didn’t like

The Highwayman was comfortable and clean, with easy check in and very friendly staff. Plenty of parking and easy to find, this was the perfect base for our trip to visit Bletchley Park (30 mins north) and Warner Bros Harry Potter Studio Tour (20 mins south). The rooms were modern and warm, and the bed was comfortable. We were also able to easily order food from nearby vendors when the pub kitchen shut early on our first night.

The pub had a limited menu due to shortage of some food which meant we had to go elsewhere for breakfast.

Hotel set back on the A5, with the rooms well away from the main road. Dunstable Town centre a brisk 15 - 20 walk. Room bright, airy and clean. Bathroom well laid out with hair and shower gel dispenser in shower. Ironing board, iron and hairdryer as well as tea and coffee making facilities. Bed comfortable. Large TV on wall with choice of stations to watch. Staff service at breakfast good.

No mushrooms available for full English and there weren't any apples.

The bed was comfortable so I slept well. Shower was hot. Facilities simple but adequate. Staff helpful. Quiet. Breakfast good. I was pleased with my stay

There could have been a bigger selection of tea/ coffee. In the room. I only drink decaf coffee and mint/ fruit teas so couldn't make myself a hot drink, although there was a selection at breakfast of fruit teas , but no de af coffee. No fruit juice out although it was on the menu. Didn't ask though.
