The White Hart Hotel Lincoln

We have stay for a few days for Holiday at white hart hotel , the staff throughout the hotel were very professional, friendly and extremely helpful. the breakfasts were amazing. the location of the hotel is great. the room was very spacious and have historic feel, bathroom with shower very clean, well equipped with all essentials and fantastic view. I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to the tourists who want to go to Lincoln. the staff at WHH are all great, especially the restaurant staff was friendly and super helpful with amazing food, they all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. Please give your staff awards, both check-in and check-out were professionally handled and easy, loved the WHH location and atmosphere, We’ll be back to this place soon.

The location couldn't be any better - this has to be the premier site for a hotel in Lincoln. The view from my window was directly onto the cathedral, at a distance of only about 100 yards. All staff I spoke to were friendly.

The walls were pretty thin (so the people next door were easy to hear - and it didn't sound like they were being that loud!) and the one drawback of being so close to the cathedral is that the bells ring on the quarter of the hour from 7am-10pm and are very audible if you are a light sleeper! Despite the central location the site is, otherwise, very quiet at night.

Nice 3rd floor room with view of cathedral, bottled water, room nice and warm, could adjust radiator to suit, great location for the castle, cathedral and just a short walk to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life (free admission worth a visit}, hotel has a nice bar area and friendly staff

Breakfast was ok ( could have been a bit more generous with the helping of scrambled egg for the egg on toast) but felt a bit rushed, bringing out the cooked to order breakfast whilst still eating cereal, perhaps could ask if you're having cereal and delay putting in the order for the cooked breakfast to allow time, Staff were really pleasant but need organising better as 1st morning forgot to bring my coffee, 2nd morning has to re ask for my ordered pot of tea

The location is amazing and the room itself was lovely

This was a joint birthday present for my 80yr old mum and 85 yr old dad. On arrival the receptionist said we hadn't paid and demanded £139 from my daughter before 'they went anywhere'. When proof of payment was provided the receptionist wasn't happy he had to go to the 'effort' of refunding the money. Not a good start. The room was very hot and we had to turn down the heating and open all windows, my parents were woken up at 5am by hotel noise outside. The lift was small and my dad refused to use it so had to walk up the stairs. The Hotel is really lovely but this was not the best experience for my elderly parents 😐

Charming staff and the hotel is beautiful. The bathrooms are particularly nice and the location is amazing. The food was delicious (really accommodating for gluten free) and the included (gluten free for me) breakfast was well worth it. Also - the heating was adjustable which is great!

It's an old building and my particular room was by a fire escape with a bright light and a loud extraction fan. They've put a thick blind in that room which is great but I wonder if some secondary glazing might alleviate the noise in that room? I loved the sound of the cathedral bells but the fan outside the window was quite loud.

The location of the hotel was excellent for Catheral and Castle. Near bars and restaurants Hotel room was nice and clean. Bar staff were really friendly.

The breakfast on the first morning there was a shortage of staff, there was a wedding party in and the staff were really struggling. We had a long wait to be served , half an hour fir our hot breakfast and some of the food in our group wasn't hot and had to be sent back. Tables were not cleared as not enough staff on. We had a meal on the 2nd night but we had to tell the waitress the vegetables were rock hard, I like my vegetables firm but these were really hard. The 2nd morning the breakfast was a lot better but the waitress wasn't very helpful or friendly.

Waiting for breakfast got down for breakfast at 10 o'clock was still waiting for it at 11 was no staff. Plus 8 of us had Sunday lunch staff was lovely but vegetables was very hard my partner got fish and chips the fish was like a child's size he was very disappointed. Second morning at breakfast it came lot faster,but the young blonde girl what served us did not talk or smile even looked like she didn't want to be there and when we left said thank you to her and she still didn't say anything. This was out 3rd stay and never been like that before.

In the heart of “ old Lincoln” close to the cathedral and amenities of the old town. Booked and allocated standard room on first floor. Extremely comfortable with all facilities including a very modern bathroom with walk in shower. Breakfast good quality and cooked to order. Free parking available opposite the hotel albeit at the time of the writers visit car par park undergoing repairs in which event parking in public car park a few minutes walk from the hotel with the parking charge of £9 ( 24 hrs) being fully refunded. Would definitely stay again,highly recommended.

Nothing to dislike.

The hotel is beautiful. Very tastefully decorated, it feels warm and welcoming from the moment you set foot in the place. It oozes luxury and that is the ambience throughout. Our room was large and comfortable, two chairs as well as the bed; the bed was comfort itself! Crisp white linen and huge, soft, white towels. We loved the shower, powerful and hot! The toiletries are from the White Company, an extravagance that is much appreciated, especially in the current economic crisis. The hotel parking facility was under renovation but the cost of parking very locally was covered by the hotel. Would we return to The White Hart? ABSOLUTELY!

The only downside was the wait for breakfast. I'm guessing the hotel was short staffed and to be honest, we enjoyed people watching from our table by the window, but we were in the dining room for well over an hour. When the food arrived, it was great. This was the only blip.

Friendly and helpful staff. Extremely convenient in the centre of Lincoln with the Cathedral and Castle and Steep Hill just around the corner We enjoyed our room as it was spacious and very clean and tidy. Cannot comment on evening dining as w chose to explore Lincoln in the evenings Breakfast was good though. Enjoyed the very old fashioned lift The hotel has it's own car park just across the road. Would stay here again if in Lincoln

The car park is an experience. Suffers a lot with pigeons and their mess. The spaces were rather tight and I had to get out through the tailgate as there was not enough space to open the door Everything else fine
