Garden Court Hotel

I booked my stay very last minute as I did not want to stay at my original accommodations any longer; and Garden Hotel was reasonably priced. The receptionist was VERY nice and switched me from the basement to a room on one of the floors. Room was small but clean and equipped with a desk, TV, mini stove/heater thing for the kettle. I found it perfect for my needs but for those that want to spend a bit more time in their rooms or don't like narrow spaces might not feel the same. Location was easily within walking distance to two tube stations and lots of busses. Area immediately around the hotel was quiet.

The floor creaked very loudly at times which didn't bother me per se, but I felt bad every time I moved around the room for the people below/beside me.

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the TV worked well, and staff members were helpful. I recommend room 605 for solo travellers. Excellent location: Kensington Gardens is a 10-minute walk; Queensway Underground for the Central Line is about 8 minutes; Bayswater Underground for District and Circle Lines is about 6 minutes. Fast food and sit-down restaurants are abundant along with Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Boots for shopping needs.

The bedside table and the desk were very worn and may need refurbishing or replacing. Be prepared for some noise, to be expected in older buildings and in central London, that might permeate the walls or come through open windows.

Very minimalistic, but everything you need is there, so very smooth experience. People were very kind and helping with everything. Breakfast is basic but good and yummy. The location is in very beautiful neighbourhood, and close to the Queensway and Bayswater stations and to the Hyde park. The bed was comfy, enough outlets (but do not forget to bring adapters with you if you come from Europe), the table is small, but big enough for the laptop

Wifi was not working very good in my room, but there is decent cellular coverage which I could use instead.

Perfect location in Notting Hill, close to the metro stations. Very cosy and clean hotel. Very nice staff. Single rooms are very small but cosy, with everything needed. Breakfast is served downstairs and is nice.

Wifi connection in the room was poor. 4G was much better. The insulation of the single room was poor: could hear every movement in the neighbor room. A little bit expensive for 3-stars hotel.

Very nice property with a lift to all floors in a very pretty area away from the main road. Very clean with lovely crisp white bedding and towels. The bed in our twin room was really comfortable with good quality pillows. The space was a bit tight but this didn't affect our stay. 5 minute walk from the tube station. Shops and restaurants very close by. Check in and out was very easy. I found the staff very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was continental style and was topped up constantly. The manager was keen to find out from us if everything had been up to standard and even helped us out onto the street with our cases. I would definitely stay here again.

Hotel is located in very nice area, close to few tube stations, easy to get wherever You want to get. Street is not very busy, so it is not loudly, in front of the hotel nice square, with birds chirping, it was very nice in the morning. Rooms are small, however big enough and clean. There is a tea available in the room, water is missing unfortunately, but maybe here is ok to drink tap water. Coffee also available in the room. Staff in the hotel was very friendly and helpful. In general, very nice hotle eperience.

It would be nice to have bottle of water in the room. Wifi is not really working properly.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was pleasant and the shower amazing! There was plenty of space. Love the location - very easy to access from the underground - Bayswater/Queensway/Royal Oak. Lovely high street to mooch along with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants.

The bed wasn't very comfy and the pillows were very flat. The toilet had a very dodgy flush. We had to call a maintenance guy because I put a USB into a telephone socket and it became stuck (yes, I know I'm stupid) - however he was very rude and spent the whole time huffing, puffing and rolling his eyes. Wasn't impressed with that.

First impressions were great. I emailed to see if we could check in sooner and was advised that our luggage could be left at reception. We didn’t need to do this because our room was ready. The check in was swift and the receptionist was really friendly. Our room was small and basic but had everything we needed for one night. Double bed. Tea and coffee facilities. Clean shower room with toiletries. It was so hot and so it was fantastic to have a huge fan!

The pillows were a bit flat and the towels could do with a change.

The staff was very friendly. Nice view from window, very nice location and quite place.

Nice hotel in a very amazing area. Walking distance from the famous colorful houses of Notting Hill and Portobello Green Market. All of London's attractions are within easy reach. There are many shops, restaurants and bars nearby. The staff is very kind and helpful. Our room was on the ground floor, next to the reception and the elevator, yet it was very quiet, no noise could be heard in the room. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious. I can only recommend!
