Location, friendly staff, recently renovated

Single room is so small that there is no space to even properly open or store a hand luggage. Anyone with bigger suitcase would simply have to pack/unpack in the corridor… The price is high for such a small space, and could hear speaking and singing in the neighbouring room. Luckily it was not occupied all the time.

Good location 1 block from underground circle line, hotel was fairly clean. Bathroom was decent sized given the size of the room. The shower was a bit awkward to use. Electrical outlets provided for both US and UK power.

Very small rooms, the mattress was a lot more firm than we liked.

No fire evacuation routes advertised in room or directions to staircases!. Poor shower fittings in bathroom and no bath plug. No refreshment or dining and breakfast facilities.

The view from my room was awful, while I had requested a room at the front with a nice view! Very bad!!!

- excellent location - super clean & modern bathroom (IDK where these filthy pics on Google reviews come from but I've seen nothing of that, all war nicely clean and modern, especially the bathroom) - club room & it's bed is for London standards pretty big I guess (still tiny for every other place in the planet except for Tokyo) - relatively quiet (I'm a light sleeper so I mostly sleep with earplugs, so I also did here and that was fine, despite starting here also in Friday night where people go out late but that doesn't impact the noise level at all in this place it seems)

- too expensive but then again this is central London and the room is nice - only thing that was annoying was a SUPER bright green emergency light over the door that you can't switch off. I glued some plasters over it and it was ok :p

As expected for the price the room was very small, but it looked clean and was quiet and comfortable.

The bed may be too small for tall people, but it's comfortable enough. The room was initially a little stuffy (aircon set at 28 degrees!!) and after opening the window it was impossible to close it again. It was obvious from the dust on the window frame that the window hadn't been opened in a very long time. Maybe a plus for some people, but for me the hotel sent too many emails. Offering online check in and check out seems completely unnecessary and getting emails and reminder emails about it was a waste of my time. It took only a few minutes to check in in person and no time at all to check out. It would have taken me longer to fill in the online check in form.

Great location right near Hyde Park, and close to the tube. Room looked nice and was clean and comfortable, with amenities like tea, biscuits, water and free slippers. The shower was compact, but was warm with good pressure. The staff were very generous with restocking the free amenities (eg toiletries and water) which was much appreciated. The room was nice and warm and heated for me when I arrived. Reception staff were friendly and check out was quick and easy. I also ordered the Executive Single Room, but the bed looked more like a double (maybe it was a King Single?) Anyway, I'm definitely not complaining about that! It was very comfortable.

Room was pretty small, but I did select a single room for price reasons, and I do understand that space comes at a premium in Central London. There was a creaky floorboard in the room which was a bit annoying, and being on the ground floor, there were certain times when it got a bit noisy from people outside running or slamming doors (but overall it wasn't loud). The heating, rather than being a radiator like I usually see in London, was a reverse cycle air-con, which was effective, but had a persistent drone. It wasn't bad enough to stop me sleeping, but a bit annoying. Finally, I was surprised to find there was no fridge in the room. Despite these issues however, I would not hesitate to stay here again.
