The Athenaeum Hotel & Residences

Superb, cosy, amazing staff, comfy beds, clean & well designed room and great location. perfect place for families, with high quality services. you just feel like you are staying at your home. The only note is that the bathroom in the residence apartments is very small, it could be a bit bigger. Overall, The Athenaeum deserve to be the first choice in London!

The room had no view, well the window faced onto a wall which wasn't great. other than that it was fab.

The location was the main reason for our stay. The breakfast was amazing. The beds were exceptionally comfortable.

The bathroom in our room was too small and not very private. The staff in the restaurant were very slow. We had afternoon tea one the day we arrived. We had to ask for more tea 3 times. How long does it take to boil the kettle?!

View was perfect. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice. Staff very helpful. Doorman was a real highlight!! We had lunch which was so delicious. Accommodated us in the restaurant despite us not booking. Just wished we'd stayed longer so we could of used the spa.

Would of liked to have sandwiches or snacks for after the night at Hyde Park, we couldn't find anything small on the menu. No bags to put sanitary products in, no bin liner in bin.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff was terrific. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Walking distance to everything downtown, great ambiance in the hotel afternoon tea. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London downtown

• The Wi-Fi was very slow and impractical to use • The Dine-in menu is limited, and there are not many options (especially at night)

location is convenient, 10 to 15 minutes walk to most of london best streets and parks … staff are friendly and welcoming.

Great location next to Hyde Park, we couldnt check in when we arrived (early) but they held our bags for us. Beds were very comfortable, the only negative was the cleaner knocking the door at 9am to clean the room!

The attention to every little detail I had stayed there before and they welcomed me back.

The room generally was in very good order. The complimentary tea and coffee were varied. There was plenty of storage space for a short stay. The room temperature was very good.

The view from the window faced a wall. As the bottles were poured into the recycling bin we could hear them from within our room. There was no place to hang your clothes when you were in the bathroom. More signs to reception would have been a good idea. Labling the lift button with reception is another option…
