The Mayfair Townhouse - an Iconic Luxury Hotel

All staff were excellent. Concierge, housekeeping, breakfast room and Bar.

Room 515 was a good size room, but impossible to get a comfortable temperature. If the heat was on, irrespective of setting it was too hot, and by turning the heat off it got too cold, I travel a lot. Over 200 days per year. While the breakfast staff were excellent, I did find the breakfast to be poor value for money even by London standards, At least stg 8.00 too much based on choice, quality and market. To be honest I stayed at the same location when it was a Hilton for the last 25 years, and while your staff are much better, the Hilton's breakfast was better ... more choice and much better value for money. Notwithstanding I found the bar food prices to be fair (and service was excellent).

Beautiful Hotel. Location was perfect. Bed was so comfortable. Reception Manager upgraded us free of charge to a fantastic suite as we were in London for my partner's birthday. The suite we had was amazing with our own little garden area. A complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates with a personalised message was left in our suite. Will definitely be back!

Concierge staff, reception and restaurant staff were all excellent at their jobs. Our room was booked through booking.com. When bill was produced on check out there were extra 'discretionary' charges listed. When I queried them, the receptionist seemed to develop an attitude and said that they were discretionary staff charges? I've never heard or seen these charges on any bill in any other hotel. The member of staff made it obvious she wasn't pleased when requested charges be removed. Other reception staff during our stay were lovely and couldn't be any more helpful. Bar has very restricted hours which was disappointing. Reception staff said that the hotel is working on getting their licence extended.

Breakfast was very good!

The room was very small. We had to upgrade to a bigger room. I tried to cancel the last night of one room and although I told the hotel when we arrived (we stayed for 5 nights) they did not agree to reduce the cost saying they can't because I made the reservation via Booking. I don't believe this is correct and I think that if they really wanted to help they could have helped us. I sent them a letter with my complaint and never got any response.

The staff in the restaurant/ bar and the doormen, especially Gary, were superb. The hotel has beautiful interiors. Our room was superb and very comfortable.

I did feel the concierge could have been a little more helpful and professional. We requested for a lunch booking to be made for us only to discover that the booking wasn't actually made, which for this level of hotel is extremely disappointing. The mini bar only holds one small still and one small sparkling water. They then wanted to charge us a room tray charge of 10 pounds to order bottles of water to the room. They did wave this fee when I complained but that should not be the case. Alternatively keep more water in the rooms.

The accommodations at The Mayfair Townhouse were nothing short of luxurious. My room was tastefully decorated, combining classic elegance with modern comforts. The attention to design and comfort was evident in every detail, from the bedding to the carefully selected amenities. What truly stood out during my stay was the culinary experience. The food quality exceeded all expectations, offering a delightful journey for the senses. Each meal was a masterpiece, showcasing the creativity and skill of the culinary team. From breakfast to dinner, the diverse menu catered to a range of tastes, and the presentation was as impeccable as the taste. The dining experience was further elevated by the attentive and knowledgeable staff who guided us through the menu and ensured that every dish was a memorable one. The Mayfair Townhouse's attention to detail extended to every corner of the hotel. The elegant ambiance and tasteful decor created an atmosphere of sophistication and comfort.

Staff was very friendly and organized. I was checked in quickly. Nice rooms, good air conditioner. Beds very very comfortable, probably one of the best I have been sleeping. Also a big thanks to complimentary minibar with soft drinks, water and little snacks, that have been replenished every day. I also really liked the bathing products (shower gel, shampoo etc..) Breakfast was nice- they had a big choice of buffet or a separate menu. Cute and cozy bar where you can either meet friends for drinks or have some food.. Last but not least, the concierge guys were very proactive. When I needed a cab, one of them went up to the picadilly road to catch me a taxi. Many thanks for that. I would love to come again.

A very strange principle of drinks after bar is closed. I have been staying many times at Flemings, right to the opposite and they had no problem to serve Gin Tonics by glass in form of room service. When I asked for a drink in the Mayfair Townhouse I was told that they only serve by..BOTTLES! What a nonsense. After a long day I do enjoy one or two Gin Tonics, but definitely would not order an entire bottle..

The hotel was located in a lovely part of Mayfair, which was in walking distance to most popular restaurants. On arrival staff were very friendly and took time in helping us get settled, toured as around the hotel and introduced us to the bar staff etc. Which we found really welcoming. The interior of the hotel was stunning and the attention to detail was very impressive. Our room was really fabulous, the interior was superb, the bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was exactly what we hoped for with a bath being a bonus! This hotel really was the highlight of our trip and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone visiting, we definitely hope to stay again soon.

When I say the location is perfect I mean PERFECT! Turn right out of the hotel and at the end of your street is Green park and Buckingham palace. The restaurant downstairs is lovely, breakfast was amazing. Staff couldn't do enough for you and we're all so friendly and welcoming. I didn't use the bar but that looked lovely too. Decor is lovely and the bathroom was really modern and spotless.

Only slight downside was the room was a little small. perfect for me as I was travelling alone but if there had been 2 of us, may have been a bit tight. But maybe I was in a smaller room given I was a solo traveller?

SPECTACULAR in every way! I brought my 87 year old mom. we have lived in Europe and both of us travel internationally at least 4 times per year. This is to put into context just how impressed we were with The Mayfair Townhouse. From the second we walked through the doors until the moment we left, the staff was delightful! Our room was large enough for both of us—with a beautiful view! Stuart, the concierge, found reservations at Fortnum & Mason during Coronation weekend! 🏆Every single detail of our stay was PERFECTION! In fact, we’re returning on Saturday! 😍
