Clifton Park Hotel - Exclusive to Adults

Overall Friendly helpful staff. Good service and lovely breakfast, the evening meal was nice except for waitress attitude. Rooms clean. Entertainment by Liam James fantastic. The location of the hotel is good and despite the poor experience during dining this has not deterred us from future stays - although may dine out for evening meals. The hotel felt covid safe with processes in place and we have had a lovely relaxed weekend - thankyou Clifton Park

Attitude of waitress during evening meal - one of our party unable to have either of the juices on offer due to medical reasons asked if any alternative was told No - no apology no effort just a No. Upon receiving main course all 4 of our party orderd the lamb which was lovely however when the veg came and was placed between two of our party we waited for more to come for the other two to be told by the same waitress "that's for 4" which was 1 small potato each again no apology. This was a poor dining experience based on the attitude and inadequate serving of main course.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay in St Annes. Food was good, although a little more choice at breakfast, e.g. pastries, would be nice. I had dinner in the hotel twice. Very good 4 course meal. I would have had it more during my stay but there is only one early sitting which I'm sure suits most of the guests, but isn't ideal if you want a more flexible day or evening. All of the staff were excellent, very friendly and efficient and certainly went out of their way to assist guests. The hotel's location is very good, less than 5 minutes to promenade or town centre and no more than 8 min walk from station. I used the hotel car park and didn't even need my car on a couple of days due to the good position. All the walking meant that the nice warm pool and Jacuzzi were very welcome!

We liked the breakfast and the coffee and the great service in the dinning area. Most of the staff were great and accommodating, unfortunately we didn't have enough time to make the most of all the facilities. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom had a bath and shower and the room was clean, We also had access to wifi. The food was good.

For the price we paid we felt the room wasn't as big as described, so we were a little disappointed. There wasn't a coffee table and only one comfy chair so couldn't sit and chat or read together.

The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. The location was great - close to cinema, shops and other amenities. For a single traveller it was safe, with lots of places to sit/relax, some entertainment (if I had wanted to partake) and pool, jacuzzi and outside space. The entertainment was a musician/dancing and then a piano player on the first evening. On the second evening it was a whist tournament. Low cost room including a good breakfast.

It was a ‘rabbit warren’ walk to my room and up to steep steps. That was Ok for me but someone with mobility issues or disability would need to let the hotel know ahead so they allocate a suitable room. I’ll go again but pay a bit more to get a better room. One man was heard complaining about the lack of entertainment (whist) - but if that was important to him he should have checked ahead what was ‘on’ the particular evening he was staying. The shared areas of the hotel were all good. My room was good but a bit ‘tired’.

The whole of the hotel on the main entrance and ground floor was tastefully done. The food was very good and the staff were friendly but professional. The facilities were also very good.

We did book a standard twin room as we were only staying for two nights. It was disappointing in that it really was small. One twin bed was flush up against the window wall with the curtain squashed between. I personally found the pillows and the mattress quite unforgiving. We should have immediately asked for an upgrade but didn't. We were asked at reception later if everything was all right. I said the hotel was lovely but that we were disappointed with the room. The receptionist said he would see what he could do, but I said as it was only for two nights and that we had already unpacked we would leave it as it was. A lesson learnt.

Plush hotel with great amenities including use of pool and gym. Staff very professional and accommodating. Lounge area, just beyond reception, is comfortable and a well stocked bar serves both lounge and a beautiful ballroom/ dining room adjacent. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and bed linen and towels good quality.The food is delicious! Hot cooked breakfast with fresh, quality ingredients and whilst I was there, 3 nights, I tried dinner one night and it was great value but high end restaurant standard. I have stayed there solo 4 times and each time has been a wonderful experience.

This is a very comfortable hotel with lots of casual seating areas. It's on a main bus route so there was no need to use the car. Our room was huge and very comfortable as was the bed. There was masses of drawer and wardrobe space and a separate writing desk at one end. There were two comfortable chairs. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We thought car parking was going to be an issue as the front car park was quite small but it wasn't. Breakfasts were OK but the one lunch we had there was excellent and with the voucher we had was great value.

We didn't complain but we didn't like having a bottle of 'hand wash' instead of shower gel which was fixed so presumably it wasn't a mistake so we used our own after using it once. Very small complimentary biscuits were left for our arrival but there were none on the second day. There wasn't a hook on the bathroom door so the door handle was used! The car parking arrangement was very strange as almost inevitably cars got blocked in as ours did but the staff had a routine which worked well.

The room was up 3 flights of steep stairs and no lift but someone helped me with my case, even so it was a long walk to the lounge and dining room. The room itself was fine and had everything necessary. The loungexwas very comfortable and the staff helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was pure heaven but could gave done with a mini stunner to dry swimsuits

Whilst the evening meal was excellent you had to pay a set orucecwhatever you ate. I couldnt eat it all and would gave preferredca prucecscale for one, two or three courses

All the staff we met were very friendly, willing to go out of their way to help guests with various requests; from Reception to night porter/barman, to the ladies at breakfast time. Very comfortable hotel, with a nice cosy bar to relax in after the festival. Would stay here again, if returning to Lytham. Indoor pool also available to guests, and an outdoor garden area to enjoy during your stay, if not out and about. Very handy for buses to Lytham for the festival.

I found our room a little hot at night, and couldn't open the blinds up enough to fully open the windows for fresh air. Room next door had a remote for fully opening their blinds.

Lovely public areas. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were very good. Rooms were well laid out, comfortably furnished with a great shower in the en suite. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Personal choice, but we found the beds to be too soft, resulting in back ache after 3 nights trying to sleep in them. Hot water at the bathroom sink took ages to come through in the mornings.
