Great location! Easy walk to the seaside as the property is at the beachfront. I so loved the free continental breakfast giving us lovely wide selection of different cereals, bread, fresh fruits, yogurts, nuts and fresh juices on top of the toast with choices of spreads and a choice of coffee or tea. We also had the choice of upgrading to full English breakfast for only 5 pounds additional. The host were very nice and friendly. The guest house was very clean and lovely, our rooms were very good as well. The surrounding neighborhood is very safe, secured, very clean and high end. Very convenient walk to many recreations that the family especially kids would enjoy. Our favourite was the ride in the miniature train and the beautiful park/ playground at the promenade which was to us excellently laid out for everyone to enjoy and create lovely memories. To us, there was always a new thing to discover that surprised us each day like the manmade falls, the big koi fish and the cute turtle which we each saw in different days! Thank you Diane and Dough for making our 5 nights of stay very memorable with your great service.

Pros- Welcoming owner & friendly plus helpful. Super Continental Breakfast - amazing range- best I've ever experienced in many years of travel. Amazing that fresh towels every day & my bed was even made (I was in a rush & thought no one would see 🙃). Clear instructions with the keys and a quiet establishment . Ironing facilties a super bonus. Would stay again. Thanks

Cons- The small single room is in need of an upgrade BUT for 2 nights stay I managed with small room- so all ok👍

Dianne & Doug were very pleasant & did everything possible to make my stay pleasurable.My single room was very pleasant clean, quiet &; bright. Nice Continental breakfast with good variety of cereals & yogurts and as much toast & jams you could eat. Also Dog Friendly, but were kept separate from the other guests. Parking was mainly on the street, but quite safe. Ideally situated for the beach & shops

Not much really, was happy with the Guest house & the facilities offered

The guest house location was excellent with on street parking outside. My single room was well appointed and excellent value for money. The continental breakfast was great with plenty of choice but you had the option to upgrade to a full English for an additional £5 if you wanted. Good transport links nearby.

The booking.com entry indicates that the room provides free toiletries but this is not correct. You can bring your own like I did but they are available for purchase if required.

Made to feel welcome and if we needed anything else, to let them know. Room was bright and clean, bed comfortable. Enjoyed the breakfast and arrangements were made to have our dog sit with us rather than leave her in the room. The whole accommodation, lounge, hallway, stairs etc nicely decorated with the 'seaside' theme and well matched to the area. It was the first time my wife and I had stayed in a 'bed & breakfast' type room so we were unsure how the 'coming and going' element would work but it was all explained and worked really well.

Plenty of choices for breakfast. Could've asked for a cooked breakfast if we wanted one. This place would be good for lone travellers as there's no pressure to be in a group setting. Loved the seaside themed bedding , pictures & ornaments. Genuine down to earth owners that are willing to please.

A bed and breakfast accomodation opening up next door to this property , seems a little unfair to me . It would've added traditional charm if the lamp post in the front yard was in working order, sadly the lamp part has been dismantled, this could've been a nice focal point as it caught my eye everytime I looked out of the bedroom window , I often thought it was a shame it wasn't in working order.

Lovely short stay at the Cumbria. Excellent value for money, rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean with everything you needed for your stay. The cooked breakfast was plentiful and great value. Hosts were helpful and friendly. Great location 5 minutes from the seafront and dog friendly ! Would definitely recommend .

Bed and room were a little small but reflected in the price of the room.

The room was comfortable with a fridge & microwave. Bed was comfy & shower lovely & hot. Sea view was good & location was central to all amenities with free on street parking. Doug & Diane very pleasant & helpful.

Did not realise that ‘breakfast included in price’ only covered Continental so paid extra £5pp for cooked breakfast, however it was really good.

This is a little gem of a place. Lovely big room which was homely and comfortable. Slept well in the beds. Super clean. Would most definitely stay here again as the owners were so accomodating, friendly and helpful. The location was fab. A stones throw from the superb beach. Cooked breakfast was well worth the cost.

Absolutely nothing. Everything was great

Just great value for money. I got an upgrade on the room,I had booked the budget single room and was given the Deluxe Double room at no extra cost. The place was clean and tidy, the cooked breakfast for £5 was great. Friendly hosts.

I can't think of anything that was significant to complain about.
