The hotel was lovely and the staff really friendly and helpful. Lovely little shop next door too which was great. The food was really good although the portions were enormous and there was a lot of waste as we could not eat it all. The hotel would save a lot of money I think if they reduced the portion size as it was such a shame to waste the lovely meals. Breakfast was gorgeous and those portions were just right. The hotel atmosphere was lovely and along with the bar and restaurant there was also a lovely garden room to eat in and a great garden so we could sit in the sun reading the papers. We stayed as we wanted to visit Bletchley Park. The hotel is situated in a beautiful little village which was great and away from the very busy Milton Keynes. Bletchley was only a few miles drive but the hotel is in the country so quiet and peaceful where relaxing is easy. Our bedroom was very spacious and comfortable. All in all it was a very pleasant stay and we would go back again.

Nothing really except having to waste food because of too large portions

Very handy for the M1, we were just hoping for an easy stopover. The White Hart turned out to be brilliant. From the moment we arrived we made welcome and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves in this attractive old place. The beer was good, and our supper that evening was lovely, with excellent local bacon and sausages at breakfast next day. The pub is popular but wasn’t at all noisy. There’s a great little farm shop in the yard, where we bought some treats to take home. The dog made friends and was happy pottering round the garden. Friendly regulars clearly regard the place as a home from home and you can see why. There are good walks all around, we found a lovely one from the churchyard just round the corner.

If I had to quibble I would have loved a cosy sofa area in the pub to go and curl up in after our delicious meal, before going up to our room. As a foodie place I can see it makes business sense for them to have a lot of tables instead. In the bedroom itself the lighting was a bit harsh - no table lamps - If the bedside fittings were lower down on the wall it would give a much nicer effect, but I am being picky. We managed to park right where we wanted to but it is on the tight side getting in and out. On a busy day you might have to find a spot in the village.

I stayed one night while travelling for work and arrived after a very long day. I very rarely eat in a restaurant on my own, but the pub restaurant felt so welcoming that I did. My evening meal was lovely and the breakfast in the morning was fantastic - it kept me going through another long day of work and until I arrived home in the evening. My room was lovely, full of charm and character, with an excellent shower.

Nothing - I only wished I was there for more than one evening, and that my husband was travelling with me!

This is a great place to stay, it has lovely well appointed rooms full of character above the pub and spacious dog friendly rooms in the building opposite. great quality food. The breakfast choice is amazing. There is a great little shop on the site as well. what makes it exceptional is the quality of service from the friendly and relaxed staff. Giles and his team are doing a great job here. The place has a great atmosphere, you will not be disappointed

Lovely clean room (I took my charming dog). Lovely food; breakfast was well presented. You can ring the night porter, if you need to take the dog out early. A lot of money and work has been done to make your stay first class. .

Just the collapsing window blind, which the owner said he was replacing. Only that: the rest was just the best. Help with luggage would have been helpful, as I had the dog. Small car park.

well appointed whilst undergoing some renovation. staff were friendly and/or efficient. Good choice of food both breakfast and evenings with a warm cosy atmosphere in the pub

couple of niggles being addressed, WiFi in the rims struggled with connecting to the internet, absolutely fine in the pub. one of the radiators needed maintenance in the room I was offered. Location-wise it could probably benefit from better signage and a brown road sign

Quiet, rural location, genuine pub feel to the pub, accomodation to an extremely high standard, staff very friendly and accommodating, and food to a top restaurant standard at a good price for what it was. This is a genuine local business doing an exceptional job, well done, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I cannot think what could be done to improve this accommodation, it is just right the way it is.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was a bother and I asked for a taxi number, cashback, all sorts. The room was very clean, had extra amenities like cotton buds and pads and the soaps and shower gels were very nice and didn't smell cheap. The building was beautiful very rustic but well kept. Good coffee facilities.

Couldn't understand how to work the shower but got there eventually. Transport links weren't great. If I drove I would choose to stay here again but I don't so I can't honestly say that I would.

The room was comfortable and a good size and it was well equipped. We had our dog with us and there was a bed provided for him in a recess and it was possible to take him into the pub. Lovely breakfast and helpful and pleasant staff.

Car park is rather small and at the time of our visit there was some building work taking place and there were a lot of vans. Alternative parking is available on the road but it is a very narrow lane. Our room was on the ground floor right next to the car park so it was a bit noisy this morning.
