Location was perfect being close to shops, facilities and a bus stop. I was able to park my car out the back and leave it there for my stay. I stayed in Room 9 and the room was very good - like having a kettle and teabags; the shower worked well and the bed was lovely and comfortable. The gentleman on reception was most helpful. I got slightly lost and he helped me out and guided me to the hotel car park. Each time I saw him, he was very pleasant.

One never knows how safe the area is around the hotel - what I didn't like was the noise from the pub outside late into the night. Unfortunately it was a hot night so I couldn't close the window without getting too hot. The hotel was not that easy for me to find - maybe a bigger sign might help and something on the wall above the entrance to the car park so those who travel by car can find it more easily without having to bother the reception staff.

The staff were really helpful, showed me to my room, and answered any questions I had immediately. The room is exactly as described in the advert. I know some other guests have said that it's not completely sound-proofed, but my room was at least. The bathroom is quite spacious for a single room and has all essential amenities provided. The location is quite good given the price compared to hotels in the centre of the city, only about a 20/25 minute walk or 10 minutes by bus.

The extension cord in my room was placed a bit dangerously with the wire over the radiator when I arrived and you can't really re-position it because of where the power outlet is. I decided to turn off the radiator to be safe which meant the room was a bit cold given the time of year. Just a heads up to the staff that this isn't a good idea because it can melt the rubber on the cords.

I booked the Mount Pleasant because of the price, location and the availability - I had an early morning appointment at John Radcliffe Hospital and staying overnight the night before was the best way. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room, the carpets were clean, the bathroom was spotless if a little dated by modern standards. There was tea/coffee facilities, a clean towel and plenty of storage - and the host called me on the day to liaise with me about checking in etc, which was thoughtful. Nearby are a couple of pubs, restaurants, a petrol station, convenience shops and outside is a bus stop for those using the park and ride. The accomodation is on a main road so it was a little noisy at first but not enough to keep me awake. We never stayed to eat there, just to sleep and be near the hospital for an early appointment.

The road noise was okay but next time I stay I will request a room at the back. Limited parking available.

Matthew, the owner, was very welcoming and cheerful whenever we bumped into each other. There was zero intrusiveness, and I felt like I could get on with my day unencumbered. Facilities were clean, and I had everything that I needed. This place was incredibly good value for money, and if I am in the area again I will certainly look out for this place.

The only thing that I had to add was more teabags, as I very quickly got through what had already been provided. Additionally, I only had one mug which got quite dirty. However, I am sure that if I had asked then I would have received more teabags and a replacement mug, so this is more my problem!

Location was good, was a cheap uber ride from the main city. A pub next door and a decent selection of restaurants nearby. The park down the road was lovely for an evening stroll too! Nice and easy check in/check out system, friendly staff and comfy room. It was very hot the weekend we stayed there and the fan provided wasn't exactly incredible but the effort was appreciated.

perfect for my needs as i was wanting to stay near the John radcliffe while my partner was in for an operation so it was just a base to get a good nights sleep after a day at the hospital. the indian takeaway downstairs is excellent and so is the pub next door. room is basic but more than adequate and the bed was very comfortable. hospital was a 5 minute walk. The man on the front desk was super helpfull and very friendly.

Shower broken but still worked. only minor fault.

The bedroom and adjoining private bathroom were clean and well-furnished with everything that was listed online. The room was also comfortable to work and to sleep in. The owner of the hotel explained everything clearly, he was also wonderfully accommodating and very easy to talk to.

I stayed in the hotel in the early summer, which meant that the central heating was not in use at the time. As a result, the room was somewhat cold in the night and early morning. Thankfully, there was an extra blanket in the room that I used in bed, and I had warm clothes to wear in the morning.

It is so close to town centre. Just a short bus ride away. Lots of buses coming and going. Roomwas clean with TV and tea/coffee facilities. Staff lovely. Very helpful. Great value for money. Loads of shops and restaurants/pubs near hotel, so don't necessarily have to bus into town as everything is on your doorstep.

Could do with nicer cups. But every thing else was brilliant.

Very clean, tidy and cosy room! The keeper there is really friendly and helpful, and so patient. My dad didn't speak English very well but they are so patient to communicate with him. I really appreciate that. If someone come to visit me next time I'll recommend him/her living here!

Location and parking were ideal, the hotel owner was very friendly and welcoming, and very accommodating with giving us info on the local area and allowing us to use the car park on our last day. The room was spotless and had lots of nice touches, for the price it was excellent!

Only very small issue was that a lot of light came through the curtains, and the mini-fridge in the room was a little noisy, but no real complaints, would definitely stay there again, and at such a good price!
