Extremely friendly and helpful staff, who gave some helpful recommendations of walks/where to visit the next day. Location is in a peaceful area. Great sized room and very comfy bed. Nicely decorated room. Very clean. Having Netflix/Prime on the T.V was a bonus. Had the best pizza I’ve ever had! Nice breakfast also. Had a really relaxing and peaceful time here on my last night of solo travel to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Being able to control the radiator would have been useful, and it would be good to have a more powerful shower; however, I think this is due to the water area than the hotel itself. Neither of these things disrupted my stay, as everything else was of high quality.

We loved everything from the initial welcome when we arrived to the final checkout. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was almost brand new and was the most comfortable bed & pillows of our whole stay in Cornwall. The meal in the bar downstairs was in a true local pub with friendly locals and fast efficient service. The meals were fantastic but be warned the nachos is big enough for two to share. It was covered in heaps of pulled pork & variety of toppings. While being above a pub & on a village street the room is totally soundproof...can't hear a thing. Derrick (sorry if i got the name wrong) even got up early on a Sunday to cook us a full on Cornish breakfast ..everything we could want was laid out just in case we may want something. Thank you for that. The most enjoyable placed we have stayed & best nights sleep, can highly recommend it.

There is no parking on-site but some parking on street outside if the pub is not in full swing. But we knew about this before we arrived.

We have been visiting the area for years but had never been to this village, tucked away just off the main road but close to the beaches and tourist sites. We booked a room the night before we got the Scilly Ferry and found the village very nice, the pub is a cosy locals pub but the accommodation upstairs is modern and smart, as we saw in the booking pictures, with a modern on suite bathroom with a good shower. The rooms were very quiet at night and comfortable and we would use this accommodation again.

Nothing bad seen.

As a base to explore Penzance and the surrounding area this was ideal. The room which overlooked the main street was excellent; spotless, well-equipped and very comfortable having been refurbished during lockdown. All the staff were very helpful and so friendly; we particularly made the most of the local knowledge for organising our time down there. The atmosphere in the bar was convivial and the seating area outside was ideal on a sunny evening. The bar food was very good and the breakfasts set you up for the entire day. The Crown was within easy walking distance of both Marazion and Perranuthnoe and within a short drive of Mousehole, Lands End and many lovely coves around that area of the coast.

Nothing as far as we were concerned - it was ideal.

Right away, from when we arrived until we left, we found everyone at the Crown Inn to be incredibly helpful and accommodating. They have a saying about southern hospitality in the USA and how you can't beat it but I think the Crown Inn deservs the Crown! (Pardon the pun) Breakfast was great, the pub had delicious and creative menu options as well as a great selection of beer. This was our first experience at a b&b and we couldn't be happier with it! Our host had extensive knowledge about what to see and do while in Cornwall, he gave us plenty of suggestions, we ended up seeing seals while hiking along the cliffs of the Lizard which was like a dream for my wife and I. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to spend in this wonderful place!

Newly refurbished rooms were very comfortable. soft carpet, comfortable bed and good bathroom. plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and water. Meals were great value with good choice. Had ribs and fish cakes at dinner. Breakfast had all you need. Staff were very welcoming. Dan took care of bags and breakfast and was great source of local information. Hannah at dinner could not have been more welcoming. Should have stayed three nights instead of just one. Don’t be put off by it it being a bit out of town. Well worth the brief drive.

Super, clean, hospitable village pub, serving proper pub food at reasonbable prices. A great find and would thoroughly recommend. Derek was very helful and passed on his local knowledge - as well as cooking a very tasty breakfast. On arrival Connor insisted on taking our bags to the room and kept the kitchen open for us as we had arrived later than we had anticipated. A special touch , there was a carton of PROPER milk in the bedroom fridge (just like they do in New Zealand). One of the best overnight stays we have had for a long time.

No dedicated car parking , but we managed to find a space on the street.

Exceptional room decor, with a host of thoughtful touches. Super comfortable bed. Extra-deep carpet. Very useful mini-fridge -with fresh milk - none of the plastic alternatives! Good bathroom and shower. Welcoming and helpful staff. Carefully prepared and tasty breakfast. Good base for exploring.

At first, the proximity to the busy main road seemed a draw-back - but- come the evening, rural quiet descended and it was absolutely no impediment to a very enjoyable and relaxing stay. A stay enhanced by the care and welcome of the Manager and his staff.

Ideal for our onward travel, excellent bedroom, modern clean , everything we would want after a very busy holiday also we had a very well cooked excellent breakfast we also did a walk round quiet lanes of main road before and the village is very nice. We arrived late at the Crown Inn and after evening meal service had ended and the Chef had left but the staff went out of there way to prepare a light meal for us which was very much appreciated.

Nothing really, perhaps opened front window blinds would have made a lighter breakfast area but this is a very minor personal opinion

The food was superb, our room was so modern and clean, and the location was so quiet. The staff were so welcoming, nothing was any trouble for them and they made us feel like we were right at home. Especially Connor, Lisa and the gentleman who made us breakfast every day and gave us local info, who may have been the owner. A total break was needed and this pub/hotel and the staff made this possible.

That we had to leave lol!!!!
