Really spacious room, well furnished and very smart. Space for a small table and chairs too, which breakfast was served at anytime between 7:30pm and 9am. Great to have a small fridge in room too. Bathroom was huge too! Beds comfy. Car parking was a bonus. Really close to ferry and promenade.

A bit of confusion over breakfast time, as arrived late and pub forgot to pass on order for 9am, so arrived at 7:30am. Could also hear other rooms getting breakfast early anyway so we were awake :) We couldn't fit out car on the car park on the last night - there were 3 other cars parked there, and not easy to get a 4th in. Found a space nearby so was no real issue. Might be worth giving out car parking passes for hotel residents to display on dashboards, so you know the cars that should be parked there.

The night we stayed was our 43rd wedding anniversary, and we came on after crossing back from Scilly that evening. The little treat and surprise that I had arranged was effected with a smile, and my wife and I enjoyed the champagne. The bed is a giant, bigger than anything we have ever slept in, but we have looked forward to it these last four or five years that we have chosen to stay here as our holiday ends. Breakfast in the room with a view is a real treat and sets up our travel day (of 360 miles home) so well

Sorry that the cook had had an accident - hope she mends soon.

All but one of the staff were so lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was light, bright and clean, spotless bedding and nice large en-suite. It was very pleasant eating breakfast in the room in the bay window which was brought to the room by catering staff, who were so nice. Lively in the bar on a Friday evening, so fun although no food is served there are plenty of eateries and takeaways nearby.

The welcome at our arrival was wanting by one staff member and the payment for the stay was requested immediately without pleasantries however the rest of the staff were great, welcoming, helpful and friendly. I would stay again. It was so convenient for the Scillionian Ferry to the Isles of Scilly.

Brilliant Location. Only five minute walk from the Scillonian Ferry, (to the Isles of Scilly) and less than ten minutes walk from Penzance train station. Doggy friendly if you have one. Nice size bedroom with table and chairs in (for breakfast if you fancy) rather than going down stairs. Large size bathroom also. Very clean and tidy throughout. Staff we found to be very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Would highly recommend and will no doubt, return to 'The Dock Inn' for any future visiting to Penzance.

Couldn't fault our stay here. Standards well above your average B&B. Excellent value for money.

Breakfast was ordered the evening before and delivered to the room for 7.30am, in plenty of time for us to catch the 10am sailing of the Scillonian. Super friendly and helpful staff - they reserved us a table for dinner in a quiet corner (the pub is very popular with locals and the bar was rather crowded on a Friday evening). Room standard exceeded our expectations - it's clearly been recently renovated and to a very high standard, with lots of nice extras (nice shower gel, biscuits with the tea tray etc). The pub is on the main road round the seafront in Penzance and the area is very busy (and quite loud) on Friday and Saturday evenings up until around midnight, and when the Scillonian is in port. The nearest long stay parking is the Harbour car park about 5 - 10 mins walk away. The pub is very convenient for the Scillonian - literally just across the road from the access to the dock.

Staff could not have been nicer or more helpful, from helping with bags, to a delicious cooked breakfast to order in our room at a time of our choosing. Location is perfect for Scillonian ferry - could actually see the quay from our room and walk across the street with our suitcases. Also a short walk to the Penzance train station. Loved the full bath, which was welcome after traveling all day!

Not a complaint at all, but this room is located above a pub on a working quay with two roads nearby, so might not be as peaceful as a location further from the quay, but for our purposes, it was perfect!

We had a lovely 2 night stay here. The room was very clean and tea, coffee and fresh milk was provided. We had 2 beautiful breakfasts in our room which had a table and chairs in overlooking some of the harbour. The staff were so friendly and the pub downstairs was welcoming too. We would recommend to anyone fore a short stay and it’s also right next to the harbour if you are planning on going to Scilly. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

All the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Parking at the pub was available. The room was super! Comfortable and clean with ample hot drinks, sugar, milk, bottled water and biscuits. The shower was really big and worked well. Decent lighting for shaving or putting on make-up. We had our evening meal there and breakfast in the morning. Both meals were excellent. Location was good for the town. They have thought of everything. We had a great stay.

No faults. All very good.

The room ( number 3 ) was very spacious as was the ensuite bathroom. The room also had a reasonable view of the sea. Breakfast was to be served in the room which was a bit unexpected and pre-ordered from a item listing. The room had a table set for breakfast with two comfortable seats and was set in front of the window without compromising the room space, The beverage facilities were very good with biscuits. The toiletries and towelling for the bathroom were on a par with luxury priced establishments. The breakfast served in our room was very satisfying and of a high standard. The Inn is both near the Promenade front and in the inland direction is close to interesting shops , restaurants and other public houses.

As the accommodation is above the Inn public bars , late night noise was an unavoidable compromise. At night and through the early morning , access to outside was by the fire escape to the rear of the Inn and through a gate and a tarmac parking area. This access way could do with lighting activated by opening the fire door.

Closeness to ferry. Well organised. We were shown to room and given all the info. We choose the breakfast items and the time this was to be brought to the room. The WiFi worked well & we got a good nights sleep in a massive bed. Breakfast lady really friendly and helpful. Enjoyed eating a good breakfast by the bay window whilst watching all the people getting dropped off and families trying to carry all their camping kit over the road! Easy short walk for us to check in for ferry. A great way to start our fantastic week at St Martin’s. The Dock Inn would also be a great place to stay when you get back off the ferry which we might do on a future trip.
