We were welcomed with open arms, even though we were a couple of hours early. The room was modern, clean and kitted out with everything you could need and expect. We stayed for dinner and the food was delicious, with generous portions at competitive prices. The staff were very friendly, attentive and clearly enjoyed their jobs. The evening was rounded off with a visit from the Mousehole Sea Shanty Singers, who had just finished practicing in the Church next door. After much singing, we returned to our room with a broad smile on our faces. Thanks for a great evening!

We were initially a little concerned about being too far away from the central town area. But we are really pleased we stayed here. We managed very well to get there by bus (no.5) which dropped us 150m from the inn. Very comfortable sleep in nice modern, cosy room. Shower great - strong pressure and hot. The pub area is very cosy and the food was so good! We were very fortunate to arrive on an evening when the local mens choir stopped by after a rehearsal and we enjoyed many local songs sung by them during our evening. A very highly recommended stay!

Nothing not to like.

It was small and quaint and had a nice homely feel and Jamie at the bar was so kind when checking us in and made sure we had what we needed. We like the location for its proximity to other villages and attractions. Room was clean and shower had good pressure which is a plus!

The only issue for me was having to sleep with windows open ( I have terrible allergies) but we were aware of this having living in the UK years ago. So if you need AC just be aware of that tidbit. Other than that all was good

Lovely family run pub / small hotel in beautiful location. Crucially you can park your car for free in the pub car park and have a very pleasant 10 min walk into Mousehole where parking can be both expensive and, especially in the Summer, a nightmare. Breakfast great quality and included in the price.

Only one downside. As expected for the convenience of being based in the stunning Paul / Mousehole location it is somewhat pricey - but overall well worth it. Highly recommended.

The room was lovely, very comfortable, clean and had everything that we wanted, the staff were very helpful and friendly, not too intrusive but made sure that they were there if we needed anything.

The thing that could be improved was the food, the Dinner menu had several chicken dishes available that seemed quite similar, yet no pasta or lamb dishes, and the food that we had was a bit disappointing for the prices charged, being a bit dry and not much flavour. The breakfasts were nice but strangely the bacon still had the rind on which made it a bit tricky to eat.

We liked everything about the property.

It was torrential rain late at night and i was cycling from the train station in penzance, i couldn’t find the place and was getting pretty stressed out, i called them and let them know the situation and they stayed open for me. when i got there (fully drenched) they poured me a pint that i could take to bed and let me keep my bike inside, amazing staff and place!

The guy behind the bar who checked us in was very welcoming and knowledgeable if the area. The accommodation was spacious, light and airy. The food was delicious.

There was a large group that came into the bar in the evening who appeared to take priority over anyone else in the bar. We understand you can't always plan for large groups but unfortunately we were ignored at the bar for about 10 minutes and we ended up sitting down to dinner later than our original time booking. There was a kettle in what would be the children's room of the family room.

We loved that all the rooms were very modern with really nice clean bathrooms , bed and decor. The pub is beautiful and full of character set at the top of the hill 5 mins walk above the most quaint and stunning little harbour village mousehole or a 5 min drive down to Newlyn harbour, 25 mins from st Ives or lands end so truly a great spot to base camp for Cornwall exploring. I loved that we had an option to have breakfast at the hotel which was basically whatever sort of fry up you fancy and delicious. Also the customer service was excellent - order a pint from the bar to be brought to your room if you so wish. We ate food here too on the first night and enjoyed delicious fresh fish in a super cosy atmosphere.

Nothin. Would 100% would go back .

This local/pub hotel was superb in all respects maintaining its local charm whilst offering ,an excellent "ale" and wine , the availability of hearty well presented dinners and a superb breakfast on waking. The room was presented in super condition with special attention to cleanliness and Covid protection. Its location just above the village of Mousehole is close to perfect being in ambling distance of the quaint fishing village but having secure and excellent parking which is almost impossible in the village itself.
