All the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially the breakfast team. They were able to book me in for dinner even though the restaurant was very busy. The food was amazing at the restaurant and they had some nice ales in the bar. Any noise that you hear from outside the bar stops promptly when it closes at 10pm. It was just a very pleasant stay, made so much better by all of the staff , I interacted with 5 of the team across my 2 night stay and they were all really friendly and hospitable. In the room, I really appreciated the French press and enough ground coffee for me to make plenty of coffee across my stay! I was able to walk down to the sea (less than 5 mins) each morning for a swim before breakfast. As a solo traveller the room size worked for me, it is small but that cannot be changed! They are well laid out and have everything you need and are very modern, clearly re-decorated recently.

The Victoria Inn is a very quaint old property - it has been beautifully updated and the facilities are all very comfortable. The menu is interesting, the breakfasts delicious! It is a very popular dining location for the locals so that is always reassuring. It’s extremely quiet after 10pm when closed so a relaxing and beautiful location, close to a delightful beach with a great cafe!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like but one piece of feedback would be on “Seasonal Vegetables” offered on the menu as it transpired to be just one offering on both nights of our stay of broccoli, nicely cooked and presented but we were expecting a good selection with our delicious meals.

A beautiful old hotel, so quaint and very cosy. We loved the restaurant downstairs where we were lucky to get a booking. However we could only get a table for 8:15pm but the staff were very obliging in going out of their way to get us an earlier table if they could, and they did. Food was outstanding, really delicious and the servings were generous so we were very impressed especially as I have a big appetite! The young girls (staff) were so friendly, efficient and professional. If you stay there make sure you book dinner at the hotel because (apart from it being amazing) there isn’t anything else around so you would have to drive somewhere. Breakfast choice was great and as I don’t eat dairy, it was very nice to get a vegan choice for breakfast. They were also very accommodating to tweak my dinner so that it could be dairy free.

Nothing to dislike ….our room was very small but we knew that beforehand. So it was a challenge finding somewhere to open our suitcase. Bathroom is clean and tastefully decorated but also very small. Shower wasn’t huge either. The property is very old so the floorboards creaked and we could hear the people next door walking around their room (which was very loud and we could hear them quite loud in the hall too) so we were very aware of not making too much noise. But it’s part of the charm staying somewhere so old and it wasn’t an issue at all. There’s no fridge in the room so I had to get them to put something in the fridge for me which was no problem.

Staff very friendly and polite, the food is exceptional, breakfast choices great and extremely well executed. Our sea view room was excellent and benefitted from the coastal air blowing through with the windows open.

one thing we found was the shower room window had no blind, not a massive issue for us but could be for some, frosted glass overlooks the beer garden. we could see into the shower room from the garden.

The room was spotless but on the small side( as advertised)it was ok for 2 nights if you were out all day. Food was excellent as were the staff. We were above the restaurant which we could hear but all quiet by 10.00p.m so a good nights sleep. Sea and coastal path 5 minutes away , where you can walk to Marazion in 40 minutes .. Alovely English pub

They cant change the room size!

Location was quiet but still really nice, close to a beach (2min walk from the pub) The pub in general was really lovely, clean & comfortable. The staff was really welcoming, friendly and helpful. Dinner was AMAZING! Really good food!

Nothing i didnt like but felt like a couple of improvements to the bedroom we stayed in... The shower was quite low on pressure but the bottom of the shower kept over filling and was worried i was going to flood the bathroom, so i had to have the water pressure extra low for that reason. Also the tv in our room was really outdated and had to keep tuning it to make it work.

Great location near the beach and coastal path. Very friendly and efficient staff. Delicious food for breakfast and we had an evening meal twice, local produce cooked well and beautifully presented.

We arrived in Penzance by train so got a taxi from the station which was a bit pricey, buses run about every hour. Free parking at the Inn if you have a car.

The staff were amazing! As was the food! we had dinner, the fish of the day and the butternut curry and it was amazing! The breakfast was lovely. The room was clean and cosy.

The window opens from the bottom, it could be dangerous if any young children are staying. And the room smells a wee bit like there could be a wee bit of damp, but its a very old building and everything is super clean.

Amazing historic pub. The service was great, staff were very friendly. The food was amazing - I recommend to book dinner in advance because it’s normally fully booked there. Beach is just 5 min walk from the pub.

Not easy to reach if you are not travelling by car, the buses are not frequent.
