What a lovely place, went for husbands' birthday only one night, staff lovely, room was so cosy, had everything you needed, towels, soap,tv, kettle with plenty of hot drinks Husband suffers with bad back and legs, emailed owner , she gave us a room on ground floor , had ensuite, room 11,by front door and nxt to breakfast room, we didn't book breakfast but it looked well stocked up, help yourself service,, cereals, toaser, hot water boiler,etc. Parked behind, just through a short lane, then you're in the shops. Really enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend so quiet too.Even had a little seating area outside patio doors.😁 very good price❤️

Nothing to dislike.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Good location with nearby shops and cafes. Quiet, clean and comfortable rooms.

Lighting was a little weak with main room light not working. Pay & display parking close by but no way to pre-pay so the ticket had to be topped-up by 8am each morning.

The B and B was in a perfect location for us in Porthcawl, right next to the beach, town, coffee shops and funfair The room was very spacious, modern and clean. There was a large hanging space for clothes with pently of clothes hangers. There was a big TV with lots of channels, with nice big windows keeping the room cool.

Everything in Porthcawl seems to close by 10pm, so if you are looking for a lively time away it may not be for you.

Cheap and cheerful

We was in the attic room , very nice and very clean just a little cramped and noisy floorboards. Bathroom door was bit of a squeeze and would like more little cartons of milks as plenty of teas and coffee sachets. But ideal for 1 night only. Would definitely go back again . Only briefly saw 1 staff member when checking in .

Close to everything, lqrge co-op a minute down the street which was so handy! Managed to get free on street parking just around the corner in Gordon Road which was great! There are also a couple of car parks within a few mins walk which is ideal. The host Emma was lovely, friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was nice.

Room was clean, but could do with updating, cupboard door needs repairing as loose, and shower needs to be updated as door does not close properly and shower base/ tray felt unsteady. Maybe in the summer could do with lightweight quilts on the beds as quite a warm room. Overall Mary House was a good budget B & B.

Great location central to everything. Emma (manager) was fantastic, one of the party was in a wheelchair and she was kind enough to offer to store it without us even asking. Beds were super comfy and the shower was a great size with good water pressure (not always the case in b&bs). Didn’t stay for breakfast so can’t say anything about that.

There’s no lift in this property and as we had booked the family room we were on the top floor. The stairs are narrow and steep (we were warned of this during check in)

Was very clean , comfy bed , shower was good , fan was provided in the room , Emma was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect , there is parking out side if you can get a space , we parked just around the corner plenty of room to park nearby . Would stay here again .

The bathroom is a little out dated but this reflects in the price is really reasonable.

I have stayed here before and it is ideal for my needs, and the location could not be better placed for access to the local night life and restaurants etc.

I did not like the fact that I could not stay for a longer visit. Unfortunately, old friends and relatives were only over for the weekend and I also had to return back to my home for business.

Excellent location in town near the shops and steps away from beachfront. Comfortable and clean rooms with good showers and lovely rooms. Lovely owners who were kind and helpful. I would like to and plan to stay again.

No fridge - to be in the heat with no fridge or ice was tough, but then this is a lower cost stay - you get what you pay for :)

Great host, only to happy to help with any question. Clean tidy throughout, better the so called better priced aces close by. I stayed for almost a week, and not a single issue. They leave you alone too. If you want anything, just ask....they are only too happy to help.
