We booked arguably the last available bed in the whole of South Wales over a summer weekend not expecting the best experience (This was the closest to a sea town we could get) The accommodation exceeded those expectations. The room was on the 3rd floor over a busy public inn but there was no noise, clean and well appointed. We had two great breakfasts there (really cheap) and they are available from 7am Very central place to visit many historic castles, seaside villages etc

There are not a lot of restaurants in Bridgend, there is however one great Italian restaurant straight across the road. No off-street parking but a public park 2 minutes' walk away, just don't leave your Laptop on the front seat! One last caution, there are two Inns called "The Wyndham Arms" 9 miles apart and the GPS in the Audi took us to the wrong one!

Good value for money. Large rooms, with a good bathroom. Very walkable location. Staff were very friendly and helpful and were proactive in responding to me when I was looking at making an adjustment to the reservation. Having the restaurant downstairs was convenient but did not impact us negatively in any way. There are some great restaurants close by too.

It was not apparent from the website that the location was not accessible by car, which would have been good to know prior to arrival. This did not ultimately prove to be a major issue as the lot they referred us to was very reasonably priced and safe.

Easy check in friendly staff, really nice room, clean, looked like a new bathroom and actually had a bath which was a bonus, the evening meal was really good, hot and tasted freshly cooked, I had the 3 plates deal, all good. Right in the town centre so easy to visit other pubs or walk round, there's a lovely micropub just on the stone bridge over the river and sitting outside was very pleasant.

Being a town centre pub the parking wasn't straight forward. The breakfast didn't live up to the evening meals standard, I ordered porridge to be followed by scrambled egg on toast, they both came out together which was a little puzzling and I mentioned it to the rather brusque morning staff 'that's how we do it' she said. Obviously the scrambled egg would be going cold whilst eating the porridge, it turned out that the porridge was barely warm, not good, same when it came to the scrambled egg plus the bread was almost dry, just a small amount of cheap tasting spread. Having said all that, my experience of other Wetherspoons' breakfasts is generally good.

The gentleman at reception was extremely friendly and made us feel welcome instantly. He gave us all the information we needed and had a great sense of humour. Our room was clean and felt luxurious. I loved the addition of drawings by primary school children on the wall as opposed to cheesy paintings. Even though it is above the pub, the noise is almost non existent and it allowed for a restful night sleep. The addition of being able to just walk down a flight of stairs to get to breakfast at Whetherspoons is a definite bonus! A great place to stay!

The room was clean and spacious, everything was provided and the staff were very polite and helpful, they were smartly dressed and nothing was too much effort for them, very professional. I will definitely be booking again later this year and I would recommend the Wyndham arms to anyone, Thankyou for a lovely few days.

There is nothing to dislike about the place except maybe parking but I understand that it's not the hotels fault, Bridgend is pedestrian friendly, there are plenty of car parks around the town.

I had a single room which was big for a single room , loved it as it had a bath and shower above , had a ironing board and iron in the room , so close to local amenities including trains and buses the staff couldn't do enough to help , so very helpful , especially Hannah , the other female worker was great aswell , new the food downstairs would be great

Although great room , didn't like the skyline window next time I will see if there's a room lower level , nothing else I didn't likev

The Wyndham arms was actually quite surprising, we thought spoons would be a lot more downgraded than what it was, everything you needed was right there for you, brilliant heater and air con in bedroom, lovely shower and bath, spotlessly clean room! Our receptionist Sue was absolutely amazing from the moment we got there, a very polite lady, very chatty and felt like we had known her a good while, she was lovely and so welcoming! Will definitely be back Thankyou for a lovely stay!

Everything was perfect apart from our tv titled to high so couldn’t really see it when laying in bed but other than that our stay was amazing!

Room and bathroom adequate size. Twin beds, bedding and pillows comfy. Hairdryer, aircon/heater, bottled water and kettle with coffee and hot chocolate. Wardrobe/space with hangers, iron etc. Very clean in room and throughout hotel. Location 5 mins walk from train station and a few minutes to embassy car park (cheap outside parking lot). Food and drink good value for money, excellent choice for breakfast - service was quick and serving staff friendly.

Bathroom had a bad smell which came and went with the extraction fan (constant and loud). Woke up few times during night with the sound of doors closing shut in the corridors (heavy clicking sounds).

Everything was has i expected it to be the room was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful couldn't ask for anything else it was perfect for our weekend away well done thank you to all x

Can't say anything that i didn't like everything was really good Can't thank everyone for a very enjoyable stay location was good it was easy to get around the area and beyond with the bus station just around the corner and train station just a short walk Can't fault the place x

Large room with all the facilities for a comfortable stay, tea, coffee, tv wifi etc. Friendly and helpful receptionist.

This Hotel can only be accessed by car between 6pm and 10 am, as the area around it is pedestrianised. A car park is used by the hotel which is about 5 minutes walk away called Embassy Car Park. Once the barriers come down you can drive and park at the hotel free of charge. If this is not a problem for you the hotel is excellent value.
